Gormaul Tower

Take Gormaul Tower from the Bladespire ogres.

Description

It is time for us to strike out against those who would enslave us!

We travel to Gormaul Tower to wrest it from the Bladespire ogres. I would welcome your company.

Mount up, and together we will ride to battle!

If you got the server lag, just run around and kill every mob that spawns, then u'll get it completed after a while!

Took me like 30 minutes to figure out how to finish this quest. Not sure if this quest is bugged or if it has some delays and are being phased due the WoD released today.

1. If nothing happens when you meet up Durotan, then run back until you see a sign and then turn back to Durotan without using a mount.

2. Kill the mobs around the nearest campfire.

3. Go to the second nearest campfire and kill everything again.

4. Go to the third campfire and kill everything around it, including the mobs that spawn.

I somehow managed to kill around 10 mobs, nothing happened, I waited for mobs to spawn around the whole area, but they didn't (they usually appear if you're close to them). Does anyone know how many I have to kill in order to complete this quest?

After finishing the quest, durotan will be near the first camp fire, not the second one with ogres.

just take your time, they appear slowly atm, kill things by the fires, and slowly work your way around the inside of the tower killing everything you see.

The quest turn in is at (21,44) - at the top of the path up to the tower, not in the tower itself.

How do you turn this quest in? I've defeated the boar and am now waiting for Durotan to spawn, somewhere, to turn it in - no luck after over 45 minutes..

*edit: If you can get a party invite to a low-pop server, this quest is a breeze and you won't need this guide. If that's not an option, keep reading.

This is proving difficult on day 1 due to lag. I hope this helps.

It seems that you have to wait for Durotan to follow you around and kill things with you. If he just stands there, you may have to remove the quest and start over. It's difficult to tell what is intended when it is this bad.

-Go to the bonfire at 21.10, 43.51 and kill an ogre and a boar.

-Go to the bonfire at 20, 43 and kill 2 ogres.

-I had trouble getting the following to spawn. Just sit on the coords and wait for the "phasing" to catch up.
20.38, 43.87 ogre and boar
20.28, 44.30 one ogre
19.96, 43.75 one ogre
19.43, 44.17 one ogre
Sometimes walking toward them causes them to despawn. try pulling them to you if that happens.

-Go to the bonfire at 19.64,45.77. Kill the 3 ogres by the fire and one on a rock close to the fire.

2 giant glitchy ogres appeared and I killed them

Razortusk appeared near the 3rd fire and I killed him

-Go back to and turn in the quest.
If Durotan is there with a grey ? then you missed at least one ogre. If he isn't there (wait for lag to catch up) try logging off and back on. If that doesn't work, some players have had success going back to get him and running back to the tower unmounted.

After turn in you can go back to the 3rd camp fire to pick up These Colors Don't Run

For evading mobs I left the Gormaul Tower area (minimap area changes) and logged off/ logged on. When I went back, they were attackable.

Between lag, d/c, loading screens, evading mobs and phasing, this quest took me at least 4 hours. I hope with the coords you do it faster. Good luck and enjoy Lag of Lagcraft: Laglords of Lagenor (at least for now)

You probably can turn in quest to Durotan who will be at the top of the path and never have to fight one Bladespire Ogron and be done with it. But on my fourth toon I was leveling I decided to fight along with Durotan and kill all of the mobs. This time I got two recipes. One for The Joy of Draenor Cooking and the other for First Aid in Draenor .

I rode up to the the camp with Thrall and Durotan. Before I was able to kill anything, the quest auto-completed and every objective went 1/1...even the optional ones. Was obviously bugged.

As soon as I completed the "Meet Durotan at Gormaul Tower" objective, the entire quest was marked as complete and I was able to turn it in.

As of december, when you get all the quest objectives completed (suddently) by coming to ogre base - dont turn in the quest just yet, just begin attacking nearby ogres, then Durotan will YELL something, like "ok, lets capture their base" (it means, the quest script has started),
then you dont have to move by those TomTom coords, Durotan will lead you the route by himself, you just follow him and help him to kill the ogres, that are attacking him, in the end that big Boar "Razortusk the Untamed" will appear, this is how you can still do the quest properly.
