He is organizing their movements at the great pit at the hozen camp to the northwest.

The target is an elite, but your buddies that come along do a great job tanking, so you don't need to worry about taking damage from him as long as you stay out of the way of his banana and sandblast type aoes.

Is this doable as a lvl 85 mage, or am I trying to do this too early? Even if I stay out of his red rings, he comes after me - and he has a strength of 1.5 million against my 120 thousand, so of course he kills me every time. My buddies don't seem that good at tanking!

Level 85 mage as well. My "buddies" do a lousy job tanking as well. Even if I spell absorb the bananas and stay out of the red he still comes after me. Going to wait until I'm 87 or so.

If you are a JC and want to easily farm meta recipes and some greens you can kill all the hozen that are visible in this quest phase. The good thing is that the jinyu soldiers around can tank and aoe the hozen in the area, if you have a good aoe you can farm them a lot in an easy way.

I got nine meta recipes, lots of greens items and windcloth.

but be careful, if you complete or abandon this quest, you can no longer see this area with the hozen and the jinyu around.

After trying a few different methods in disgust I attacked and then ran out of range to let the NPCs handle it. My intent was to rush in at the end to make sure I got the credit for the kill but then a couple Hozen spawned where I was.. while I dealt with them the NPCs killed him but still got credit for it ;)

Did it first time on my 85 mage 106K health. Hopefully, earlier when you had to choose which Jinyu to equip, make sure you choose 3 healers, 3 tanks and 3 DPS (I chose two rouges, one mage). You will still pull agro so I ran around pit and stopped to Evocate when near death. Pop all you can - mirror, icy V, ice floes, Ring of Frost, and ice block to let guardians do some damage, although it's not much.

Done it with lvl 85 tankadin, 155k health, was no problems at all. When picking the jinyu in the previous parts of the quest chain I did not pay any attention to classes. Had maybe 3 healers and at least one rogue for sure, maybe two. Maybe easier for tanks than for DPS...

This is very easy at 85, any class. Start the fight then run up top, but don't get to far from the outer ring, or you may aggro nearby beasts. Run down and dps or cast your spells a soon as he stops throwing bananas. Get out of the way when the red dust starts flying. he went down and I had full health (dps warrior).

Hi i tried this in traditional warrior way and got killed......
i am lvl 86 pandaren warrior maybe i should rush in and out and wait for the npc´s like someone suggested earlier

i did this with my 86 shadow priest with no problem didnt take any damage. 86 mage had a hard time , i kept getting hit. Had to drink a master healing pot. I read above that someone
"picked" the natives to join. I just got one of each type both times. If i had to do it on a mage again i wouldnt be in any hurry and let the team take care of it. I hit full on with priest and was done in half the time. I blame fire..
