the profession quests that grant skill points ARE repeatable, but would only grant skill points like once a week or so...

One of the new patch 4.3 Darkmoon Faire profession quests, you must have at least 75 skill in Herbalism to see this quest.

This quest requires no additional items, simply gather the Darkblossom that can be found around Darkmoon Island, tracking herbs will enable you to see them on your mini-map.

The profession quests can only be completed once during each Darkmoon Faire and will grant 5 skill points.

The nearest vendors to the Darkmoon Faire portals are Kuruk (H), Innkeeper Farley (A) for the Moonberry Juice and Shadi Mistrunner (H), Tharynn Bouden (A) for all the other trade goods. You'll have to collect the fossil fragments yourself. If you forgot to bring your fishing rod with you, Tatia Brine on Darkmoon Island sells fishing supplies.

You can find the herbs all over around the grounds, and they do show up (while the quest is active) with track herbs.

They are in the faire proper in abundance.

To get this quest, you need to find Chronos.

He is behind the pavilion to the southeast.

Find the food vendor Stamp Thunderhorn, and go behind the faire to the southeast.

I believe these quest are repeatable, but only once a MONTH during the Faire.

All profession quests located at the faire require skill level 75 in that profession before you can see the repeatable monthly quests.

It looks like as of 5.0.4 patch, these are now only able to be completed once per character. So, they're no longer able to done each time the Faire comes around. :(
