The steam tonks are one of the Darkmoon Faire's most popular amusements. Our visitors love to test their skills for hours and hours, but the tonks take a real beating from all that fun.

You look like you know your way around a wrench. Mind helping me fix some of the damaged tonks and return them to working order? I'll compensate you for your time.

Will be great that these quests are repeatable. Nice for those 5 points here and there you don't want to spend 1000g or hours farming mats to level. I think around the Fel Iron stretch this will be real nice...

One of the new patch 4.3 Darkmoon Faire profession quests, you must have at least 75 skill in Engineering to see this quest.

This quest requires no additional items, simply target a Damaged Tonk and use the Battered Wrench provided.

The profession quests can only be completed once during each Darkmoon Faire and will grant 5 skill points.

The nearest vendors to the Darkmoon Faire portals are Kuruk (H), Innkeeper Farley (A) for the Moonberry Juice and Shadi Mistrunner (H), Tharynn Bouden (A) for all the other trade goods. You'll have to collect the fossil fragments yourself. If you forgot to bring your fishing rod with you, Tatia Brine on Darkmoon Island sells fishing supplies.

I could be wrong, but I think all theses sort of quests (professions + a couple others), will reset every month when the Darkmoon Faire is back.
Why ? All "one time" quests resets for every events, the only singularity here is instead of being a yearly event, it is a monthly event. We'll only know for sure in January 2012, but it's the best course of action, I don't think daily would have been good anyway, there is alrdy a whole bunch of them. Too many dailies kill the dailies. Monthly sounds fair and fun. One time only in your lifetime would be a no-no straight from Blizzard QA, in my opinion.

There is an area with multiple damaged tonks across from the tonk daily quest giver.

As with all the Darkmoon Faire profession quests, you need a skill of 75 in that profession to be eligible for the quest.

Even if you done the primary profession quests that week, if you drop a profession during Darkmoon Faire week, you can do the quests for the profession that you pick up as well. Even rewarding the achievement Faire Favors without completing one of the secondary skill quests such as Archaeology or Fishing.

Possibly means that if your toon has no professions you could conceivably do the quest for every primary profession each month, awarding you with 36 Darkmoon Prize Tickets instead of just 8. (Assuming you're willing to get each profession to 75 and really really want the tickets right meow.)

This is awesome.

Here's why: without this quest, you can't raise your Engineering skill to 600 until you are 85th level, because you need Spirit of Harmony and you have to get to Pandaria to get them. Plus, the Mote of Harmony come really slowly unless you level yourself closer to 90. Gonna be lots of grinding there if you're in a hurry.

With this quest, you can raise an 80th level alt's Engineering to 595 by throwing Ghost Iron Bar at the problem (hopefully you have an 85+ miner and want a whole lot of Thermal Anvils), and then finish it to 600 with the +5 Engineering reward. I just did this on my Engineering alt, who hit 80th level today to get my tiny guild access to heirloom pants.

Seems odd that this quest is given by Rinling, who runs the shooting gallery, rather than Finlay Coolshot, who runs the actual Tonk game.
