Description

You may have seen my horse, Baby, over near the wagons. She pulls the cart that hauls some of the animals in our Zoo Bizarre.

She's a hard worker and she tears through shoes like you wouldn't believe. It's about time for a new set. I've already bought the raw materials.

All you need to do is shape them over an anvil and apply them to Baby's feet. It's a quick job and worth some tickets, wouldn't you say?

Yes! This quest is exactly what I need to casually level my blacksmithing.

You don't have to leave to your homecity to craft the horseshoes for her - you can find the anvil and the forge in a tent behind the NPCs that sell replica and heirloom items, in the middle-western part of the Faire; you also can find another set of anvil & forge at the injured carnies' camp, near Chronos, the one Who Never Forgets, and Morja, looking for Jubjub.

You get given the quest and special iron by Yebb (who is standing in front of the horse Baby). You go to an anvil and use the iron 4 times to make the shoes. Return to Baby and use the shoes once. That's it. For a map to an anvil, the heirloom guy next to one is Daenrand Dawncrest.

If this is a "Weekly" quest then with 5 skill points a week it would only take 8 years to max out your profession.

But for someone almost at max skill this could save you a ton of gold.

One of the new patch 4.3 Darkmoon Faire profession quests, you must have at least 75 skill in Blacksmithing to see this quest.

This quest requires no additional items and there are two anvils on Darkmoon Island.

The profession quests can only be completed once during each Darkmoon Faire and will grant 5 skill points.

The nearest vendors to the Darkmoon Faire portals are Kuruk (H), Innkeeper Farley (A) for the Moonberry Juice and Shadi Mistrunner (H), Tharynn Bouden (A) for all the other trade goods. You'll have to collect the fossil fragments yourself. If you forgot to bring your fishing rod with you, Tatia Brine on Darkmoon Island sells fishing supplies.

As with all the Darkmoon Faire profession quests, you need a skill of 75 in that profession to be eligible for the quest.

Even if you done the primary profession quests that week, if you drop a profession during Darkmoon Faire week, you can do the quests for the profession that you pick up as well. Even rewarding the achievement Faire Favors without completing one of the secondary skill quests such as Archaeology or Fishing.

Possibly means that if your toon has no professions you could conceivably do the quest for every primary profession each month, awarding you with 36 Darkmoon Prize Tickets instead of just 8. (Assuming you're willing to get each profession to 75 and really really want the tickets right meow.)

some of us dont have coordinates, please where is this anvil, and how does one do this quest? no website, including this one gives information needed.

For maximum efficiency/laziness, bring a Thermal Anvil and finish this quest without ever taking a step.

The younger crowd or those not familiar with gambling terminology may suspect "Baby needs two pair of shoes." is a Blizz in-joke and they are right.

It's a play on the phrase "Mama/Baby needs a new pair of shoes!" A rally-cry that crap (dice) shooters yell usually when the going is good and they want to keep the lucky streak alive.
