It is Gold fish you need to gather, thay are "hidden" along the coral's just use the quest item and go slowly past the coral's and you should get this done quick =) (coral next to the quest giver where you did the other quest's)

You can also use "Shift + V" to the there Hp bar (easyer to find them)

also dont understand why i have been rated down, as the info is correct.

I was swimming around for about 10 minutes before i realize that those small fishes are located at the top of column shape object. When u swim close enough to them u will catch them up. Good luck.

This quest is kind of a pain, but I wrote a macro that helps out marginally by setting a skull on the little fish.

/target Under
/script SetRaidTarget("target",8)

You have to get within a yard or two and wait for them to become attracted.

These little guys like to hang around the coral formations in the mouths. Just swim by and stand still for some quick fish.

I found that if I turned on nameplates (shift + v), and swam near the large, glowing sea urchins or the coral, it was easy to spot the Underlight Nibblers for the quest.

I struggled with this at first, but turning on friendly name plates made it very fast and easy. It's hard to see the fish, but you can see their name plates clearly.

Like someone said, make sure to turn on FRIENDLY nameplates. You can do this in the interface->Names options.

You can't use the quest item whilst shapeshifted (other than Druid/Worgen forms), so right click your Savoury Deviate Delight buffs people.

This quest will not let you apply the lure if you are shapeshifted. So make sure you're not using items like Gnomeregan Pride.

Easy way to do this... just watch the chat window as you are swimming through the coral. When you see a message that says, "Underlight nibbler is attracted by your dangling lure," stop until you gather him.

my quest item "Phosphora Fedora" didnt work, but I found out that if you have name plates on you can see them, and then just collect em up.

If you are following all the advice and it's not working and you're scratching your head wondering what you are doing wrong....

Just abandon the quest and pick it up again.

If you click on the hat and you can see it on your head (you will know it when you see it) then it's easy.

The hard part is the hat not working and thinking it's something you're doing wrong.

When I did the quest, it gave an error "Item not found." when attempting to use the hat. As noted, you can still complete the quest despite the error. A couple of notes:

1) The fish are the typical 'frenzy' style fish.
2) The fish are in the small recess on top of the coral tubes. Typically, there's one fish per tube but sometimes two. There can also be 'Coldlight Hunters' in the tube instead of fish.
3) You can stay mounted and just go from tube to tube. It goes pretty fast once you realize where the fish are.

shift+v nameplates help a lot and respawn is fast

I found about 20 at 42,72 to 43,73 and by the time I got to the 20th first had respawned

Use Ctrl+v

take off anything that changes your form, in my case it was Deathbringers Will. It would cancel out the lure and i had to abandon and do it over.

You don't need nameplates on, just go into the bright light blue cactus looking bushes.

Listen for bubbles, then the fish will appear. Just wait and move on till you're done.

Around 45.55 is a glowing coral,and I just stood there, floating, and eventually I got all 30 of them. It is near the quest giver, and it's not a fast quest.

I think prior to the above comments the key to doing this quest as quickly as possible to get it done and out of the way is to pay close attention to the chat and sound: when the fish are attracted to your lure you will see Underlight Nibbler is attracted by your dangling lure! as well as hear a kind of bubbly-sound at the same time.
I found most of mine in the blue tube-like plant-things but also the big, blue spikey plants too.

There is a slight bug in this quest, although given its nature, I can believe that no one noticed it. Basically, if two Nibblers get to you at exactly the same time, you'll only get credit for one. Emphasis on "exactly", though.

Shift+V to see the fish.

If you right click the hat and get the "Item not Found" error, look at your character and see if you have a dangling blue light sticking out of your head, or the "Lure" buff already.

If you have stealth, it DOES work with the lure on, just remember you can't stealth with the 15 second debuff everything in that Canyon gives you.

If you are shapeshifted, you'll find the lure doesn't work and when you try to use it it's say "Item not found". I had this problem as I'd picked this up after I'd had some Savory Deviate Delight (a sea-based area demands that I dress like a pirate, lol). But it is not enough to change back to your normal form, you'll need to abandon the quest and pick it up again.

Ok so what the point of the Phosphora fedora,
1 you dont put it on
2 you dont click on it to gather the fish
3 you dont even need to know its in your bags to do the quest

Today I figured out that if you pick up this quest while in a costume, which a lot of us might be during the Hallow's End festivities, you will not get the 'Lure' buff upon accepting the quest.

After removing my costume, abandoning and re-taking the quest, it worked fine. :)

This quest is pretty easy, after you're done killing Coldlights simply swim up and weave your toon through the reefs. Tan colored little fish swim through them and will be attracted by your "lure".

Correct me if I'm wrong but I couldn't catch them even when I were right next to them when I was on a seahorse so I think it doesn't work while mounted.

As soon I enter the Underlight Canyon and the lure is activated my FPS drop so hard I barely can move. Can't complete the quest.

Lame addon consuming too much memory. After unloading it I could play normally.

Right around 46,59 you can head south along that wall while completing the other quest you received, Coldlights Out. They will come to you while you complete that quest, then pick up any remaining as you head back for turn in. So don't go looking for them but rather work on the other quest and you will automatically see what needs to be done. I was only 7 short when I finished Coldlights Out.

If you accept this quest while mounted on the Sea Turtle mount, the lure appears on the mount instead; attached to its head via a long strand.

I found this to be a bit confusing: "stick this device on your head". Ok, so I removed the gear on my head, and try to put this Fedora on -- but it won't go on! Never noticed until reading all this thread that it doesn't actually go on your head, just gives you a buff. Bad wording!

Here's a tip! Just pick a spot at the top of one of the column of coral and just sit there a while. They will respawn right on you. Takes maybe 5 minutes. Good time for a bio break!
