Cut three Jagged Jaspers and give them to Isabel Jones in Stormwind City.

Description

I was supposed to receive a shipment of jasper from Azeroth Express, but I just heard their ship crashed into some tiny island called Ogrezonia. I worry about the crew, as the giant female ogres on the island are rumored to perform horrible rituals on men who happen upon their island. My work must go on, though, and we need those gems. I've heard great things about your skill as a jewelcrafter - could you deliver three jagged jaspers by the end of the day?

Got a problem with the quest.
I have 3 Jaspers in my bag, cut all them into Jagged Jaspers but the quest remains incomplete since one of the gems have turned into Perfect Jagged Jasper which does not count actually.

I don't know if it's intended or a bug.

Somehow this quest is bugged for me?.. I bought 3 Jaspers, cutted them into 3 Jagged Jaspers, all fine but now my quest log says this: Jagged Jasper Cut: 0/3 Jagged Jasper: 3/3 (Complete) Requesting help, Thanks :)

Its important to note you have to cut these yourself and not just buy them.

So when you buy it it won't count towards your "xx gem cut 0/3" completed.

Which makes sense really. You're a JC and therefore you're not supposed to buy the gems.

All five jewelcrafting dailies in Cataclysm have references to the TV show Futurama (some references have already been noted, simply cross-posting on all five quests):

A Present for Lila - Reference to the starship captain Leela, who also has purple hair. Also, reference to the robot Bender (Curver) and his constant drinking. (thanks for this to tonydizzle) EDIT: Upon completion, you also get a reference to the fact that Leela is a cyclops.

Elemental Goo - Reference to Professor Farnsworth and all the crazy contraptions he comes up with.

Nibbler! No! - Reference to spaceship captain Leela's pet, who eats anything and poops out starship fuel in the form of dark matter - hence, the "leavings" comment (thanks, Fortunate)

Ogrezonians in the Mood - Reference to episode 3x05, "Amazon Women in the Mood", in which the Planet Express starship crashes on the planet of the Amazonians (large females) who are ruled by the mighty Femputer. The penalty for the intrusion for all male members of the crew is "death by snoo snoo".

The Latest Fashion! - Another reference to Professor Farnsworth and his experiments and potentially to the show itself (stardust sounding like something from space, etc.)

First time trying this quest, but got a problem: who teaches Jagged Jasper? According to Wowhead the JC trainers in SW and Dal should do it, but I couldn't find it for sale.

I find this quest to be not worth it, as I have the absolute worst luck with farming and getting Jasper's from prospecting. Have been thinking it may at this moment in time be more lucrative to Auction your ore, and use the gold to just flat out buy the Jaspers. Guess it depends on your server economy, but I farmed 80 elementium and got 2 jaspers and finally traded for my last one. thats a lot of prospects...

To complete the quest you must cut the Jagged Jasper while you have the quest. I had a bunch of Jasper (pretty common to me) and decided to cut them, but couldn't complete the quest since I was 0/3 on the cut requirement. Such a waste ;(

A quick note: I made 3 Jagged Jaspers as I was skilling up, and put them on the Auction House. When I got high enough to receive this quest, I cancelled my auctions, and found out they are no longer valid for the quest.

I just cut three jagged jaspers and tried to give them to Isabelle Jones to complete my quest and it will not complete. Who do I contact to correct?

OK, this is a tough quest so listen up. You might actually want to skip this quest if you're pushed for time.

It's important that you complete these steps in chronological order or you won't be able to complete the quest.

Alliance version

1. Accept the quest from Isabel Jones. She's the Jewelcrafting NPC located in Stormwind.

2. Open up your bag inventory to see if you have any jasper. If not, look in your bank and see if you have any there. If you don't have any jasper in your bags or your bank, go to the auction house and buy some.

Note: If you're on a low population server and there's no jasper in the auction house, another option is to prospect Obsidium Ore. It should take an average of 60 ore to prospect enough jasper for this quest. If there's no ore in the auction house, you can ask you're guildies if they'll sell you some. Failing that - as a last resort - you can mine some obsidium ore yourself. The best place to go is Deepholm, or even Mount Hyjal.

3. OK, so you've now got your jasper. Click on the Jewelcrafting icon (this can be found in the Spellbook & Abilities window; on the 'Professions' tab) and scroll down to the 'Green' sub-section of that window.

Tip: You can scroll down by clicking the slider on the right of the window and holding down the left mouse button.

4. In the 'Green' sub-section of the jewelcrafting window you'll see where it says Jagged Jasper. Click on it once and this will highlight the sentence.

5. At the bottom of the window, there's a button that says 'create'. Now here you have 2 options: You can either click the 'create' button 3 times (and it will then create 3XJagged Jasper) or you can click inside the box just to the left of the 'create' button and type '3'; the click create. The 2nd option automatically creates 3XJagged Jasper without having to click the 'create' button 3 times individually. It certainly makes things quicker, but it's only recommended for advanced users. If you're novice or intermediate skill (or if you're a complete n00bcake...) I'd recommend that you opt for the simpler strategy of clicking the 'create' button 3 times individually.

6. If everything has gone to plan do far, you should have 3XJagged Jasper in your bag inventory. You can either check manually (by clicking on the bag icon) or you can check your quest log by looking to the right of the screen. If you're already stood next to the quest giver, she should have a yellow question-mark above her head. If she doesn't, this means you haven't completed the quest. Go back to step 2.

7. Click the right mouse button on Isabel Jones. A new window will appear. All you need to do now is click on where it says 'complete quest' (remember to use the left mouse button here!)

Note: Upon completing the quest, you should find that an Illustrious Jewelcrafter's Token has been credited to the currency section in your character window.

Horde Version

1. Accept the quest from Marith Lazuria. She's the blood elf Jewelcrafting NPC located in the Valley of Honor in Orgrimmar.

2. Open up your bag inventory to see if you have any jasper. If not, look in your bank and see if you have any there. If you don't have any jasper in your bags or your bank, go to the auction house and buy some.

Note: If you're on a low population server and there's no jasper in the auction house, another option is to prospect Obsidium Ore. It should take an average of 60 ore to prospect enough jasper for this quest. If there's no ore in the auction house, you can ask you're guildies if they'll sell you some. Failing that - as a last resort - you can mine some obsidium ore yourself. The best place to go is Deepholm, or even Mount Hyjal.

Get a cheap stack of required raw gems, and just cut a few when you get this daily quest.

Remember that you need to cut them AFTER you get the quest - so only cut 3 after you take the quest.
