Just click on the pot and "use" the seeds. Easy-peazy!

I had some issues with this quest; it wouldn't credit me for using the seed. Disabling my addons fixed it though.

A cauldron is located at 78.18 - it's guarded by a single Cult Lightbringer.

When I acept the quest, I dn't even receive the Highmesa's Cleaning Seeds. Even after I abandon the quest, and retake it again...

To get to this quest, you need to complete Sage Highmesa's quest, A Proper Death. To start her quest chain in the first place, you need to do the quest Ride to Taunka'le Village from Warsong Hold, and then Sage Highmesa is Missing from Taunka'le Village.

I was hunting the quest reward Chilled Shoulderplates for my transmog and could not find this info, so I thought I'd fill it in.

Stop the Plague

Sage Highmesa, standing just south of The Dens of Dying, has asked you to use Highmesa's Cleansing Seeds at a Den of Dying Plague Cauldron to neutralize it.

Description

I'm convinced that the plague is being caused by something in the caves up there.

<class>, I want you to take these seeds. I normally use them as a ward against the Scourge, though perhaps they can be used to disrupt whatever foulness is happening in the dens.

Find the source of the plague and throw them into it.
