Speak to Lady Jaina Proudmoore in Theramore.

Description

I must make plans to destroy the remnants of the Defias. Please convey my thanks to Lady Jaina, back in Theramore. She has ever been a loyal friend and steadfast ally.

Go to the Mage Quarter at the western end of the city and speak with Archmage Malin at the foot of the tower there. He will speed your return to Theramore.

Rewards

You will be able to choose one of these rewards:

	Bejeweled Dagger		Gleaming Scale Breastplate
	Archer's Wristguard

You will also receive: 80

Upon completion of this quest you will gain:

4,600 experience

If you never turn this quest in, you can teleport from Stormwind -> Dustwallow Marsh WHENEVER YOU WANT. Just never turn it in! Easy mode access to CoT and Hyjal :)

In case anyone is wondering what Highlord Bolvar Fordragon is refering to with the "Do not let Lady Prestor's protestations distract you", here's the conversation that takes place first:

Highlord Bolvar Fordragon says: Lady Jaina would not send a messenger with such haste if she did not believe her information reliable.
Highlord Bolvar Fordragon says: With their newfound patronage and apparent role in the king's disappearance, I see no choice but to plan a renewed offensive against the Defias.
Highlord Bolvar Fordragon says: Convey my thanks to Lady Jaina and let her know that we will pursue the Defias and their backers until our liege is safely returned!
Lady Katrana Prestor says: Don't be such a fool, Bolvar!
Lady Katrana Prestor says: The Defias are little more than a band of thugs. We should be busy combatting Stormwind's real enemies instead of chasing baseless speculation!

Uh guys, they're alreayd linked. You see since Lady Katrana is really Onyxia of the black flight...This just explains how Dr. Weavil ended up on the island. Dr. Weavil was the cargo, ie hte Monical. And the higher up in stormwind is Lady Katrana, ie Onyxia, ie Black Dragonflight mage.

From a story point of view there's a very good chnce that the continuation of this quest chain may be found in the WoW comic book. In fact reading through the missing diplomat quests and then this line have given me some new threads to think about in the comic.

As of 2.4.2 this quest can no longer be used as infinite free ports (sadly). Once the quest is grey to you, the NPC will refuse to port you claiming that you look like a worldly traveller who could probably get there faster than you could with his feeble port (refering to the new mage port available to Theramore).

I think he's a dirty liar, but oh well. :'(

This is a level 37 quest. It turned grey for me at level 46 and I was still able to use the teleport. I just leveled to 47 and the option is still there for me to use the teleport.

So it's not when the quest turns grey. I'll try and remember to check back at level 48 and see if it still works.

Edit: Level 48, teleport still works even though the quest is grey.
Edit: Level 49, teleport still works.
Edit: Don't remember if I checked at level 50. At level 51 I can not use the port anymore.

This still seems to be available for me, or my shaman at least. Went to turn in the quest "Reborn from the Ashes" and noticed that this was one of two low level quests available from Varian ("The First and the Last" was the other). Kinda funny, since Jaina was right there next to him (but refused to let me turn in the quest to her. Guess she figured my shammy needs the exercise).

But yeah, I guess it was just a matter of the pre-reqs being removed from the game, rather than every part of the quest line.
