This quest listing misses some info - it is Alliance side quest, ended by Warp-Scryer Kryv. Also XP is missing (unknown to me)

Although this quest only requires level 58, the quest item it is derived from requires level 61 to drop.

The Heart of Darkness refers to an item of the Legacy of Kain series.

These guys have an ability called "Fel Flames" that is about a 2-3 second cast. Get a dot off and BACK UP to avoid it. Once they start casting they can rotate around in 360 degrees but cannot move so if you move back you can avoid it. After they are done with Fel Flames they also get off an AOE lightning attack that I do not know the name of. But if you back up for the Fel Flames you won't get hit with that one either!

Also a little cool thing the quest named "The Heart of Darkness" (imho) refers to the book by Joseph Conrad. It would make sense since these pools are kind of like the river in the book.

1. The Heart of Darkness
• Accept the quest, The Heart of Darkness, from Warp-Scryer Kryv, at coords 56.6, 66.6 (Upper level of the Honor Hold Barracks).
• Go downstairs, exiting the barracks, and travel northwest to the Pools of Aggonar in the vicinity of coords 39, 34.
• Kill 10 Terrorfiend.
• Travel southeast to Honor Hold Barracks (entrance: coords 56.3, 65.9).
• Go upstairs and turn in the quest to Warp-Scryer Kryv at coords 56.6, 66.4.

Description

It is just as I feared. Arix'Amal - the demon you killed earlier, was working for a secret Legionlord - Arazzius the Cruel. It appears this new villain has amassed a force of hellish terrorfiends near the Pools of Aggonar.

You must journey there and slay the terrorfiends before they strike against us. But be wary, friend - the Pools of Aggonar lie within a tortured, poisonous valley. You can find the cursed pools to the northwest of here, beyond Hellfire Citadel.
