Anyone know if it's possible to get there without flying? Trying to explore Explore Dun Morogh as a Horde, but can't fly in the regular world yet.

For anyone interested in getting to Ironforge Airfield by ground, without taking Mathel Rustwrench's flying machine, you can take this path:

1. Enter New Tinkertown (the Gnome starting area). Turn right inside the gate, and follow the hills north.
2. Go to the north wall of Crushcog's Arsenal. Stand in the center of the wall, and turn to approximately 1:00 o'clock.
3. Head up the mountain ridge in front of you behind the small trees. When it starts to become too steep, veer to the right of the ridge.
4. There should be snow fields in front of you covering the entire mountainside. You should be in a zone called "Chill Breeze Valley." Keep heading up the mountain on a bearing of approximately 2:00-2:30 o'clock.
5. You ought to encounter several dwarf sledders riding down the mountain and walking back up.
6. Continue this same direction as high up as you can. You're basically walking over Ironforge Mountain along the north side.
7. Eventually you will start to descend, and will come to some slopes and cliffs overlooking Ironforge Airfield. Depending on the path you choose, you ought to be able to come into the airfield without any falling damage.

So this flying machine is not clickable on a brand new Dwarf (level 1) - any idea how you unlock it's use ?

(it's useful for pacifist wow challenges to gain discovery xp without killing anything)

edit: seems like you need to be level 5 and get/do Get to the Airfield
