Temporus is the 2nd boss of the Black Morass and spawns during the 12th wave.

Its most notable ability is its Mortal Wound which is similar to the one used by Fankriss and Kurinaxx from Ahn'Qiraj. Therefore, important to have an offtank for this fight. Note that the tank can still be Power Word: Shielded while Mortal Wounded.

There will be a brief respite after this boss is killed to distribute the items.

Having an offtank is very hard if not impossible as he is immune to taunt. Instead of an offtank, I went and specced prot for this *annoying* boss and it became easy as pie.

Just have imp shield block and spam it, and you'll block half of his debuffs, making this otherwise painfull boss fight mighty easy.

he also buffs himself periodically with a +200% movement and attack speed increase, it only lasts for about 10 seconds but dispelling it may help if you're having trouble with it.

mages can also steal it, quite amusing to run around that fast.

Another thing you want to note is that the boss is leashed, pull him too far from the rift, and he'll reset. Doing a 250% Temporus is not fun.

Don't try to get yourself stable, backing a tree. When it knocs you, just fly. It will take it a long time to get you, and it buys you time to clear the debuffs. If you could block a few in a row, it helps a lot too.

For some more hardcore experience :

Find a way to get high red latency. Upload, download, share the connection; etc. When it knocks you back run back to your original spot. It should run(fly?) to where it knocked you and back to you; and due to your latency it will happen after you took your position. That's easily enough time to clear the debuff if it was past the half, and that it will happen often enough to notice.

We just had a bugged Temporus, he spawned at the same time as the 11th portal, luckily enough he didn't aggro but we did get 2x adds, we fast killed the 11th portal and killed all the adds as fast as possible. To work our way out of combat I managed to keep the mobs far away from the mana users (I was the tank) so they could drink, then we killed adds again, drink fast again and leave the adds behind and went for the boss.
We managed to kill him aswell and the great Milennium Blade dropped, I was so happy to get it :)

if u dispel the buff it cast on itself it's really an easy boss
ull'get a max of 4 debuff for the whole fight, just a plain tank and spank boss

mages should keep detect magic on and spellsteal his hasten buff (200% increase to melee and movement) whenever its up

this will reduce his dps significantly and, if necessary, enable you to kite him while the mortal wound debuff wears off your tank

We've had real issues with the healing debuff stacking - sometimes it climbed up as high as 9 debuffs - (90% healing reduction).

The best way to avoid the debuff stacking is to make sure they drop off.

I suggest to wait until the knockback. Once that happens, bubble the tank (if a priest is present), shield block (If a warrior is tanking), and have the tank back away. By the time the boss catches up to the tank and does damage to him again, the debuff will have dropped off.

Don't be afraid to blow shield wall, either. This boss is tougher than the 3rd one. And like others have said - have everyone DPS on him, and drop 1/2 beacons to deal with adds.

This boss is very easy if tanked in the right way.

The Debuff (Mortal Wound) can be easily removed by the tank.
The boss apply it only when his main target is in melee range.

The debuff has a duration of 12sec,Temporus usually use it when the previus debuff has from 6 to 1sec, so when the tank have 3-4 debuff he only have to start moving from the boss, escaping from him (if mages use frostbolts to slow him is better) when the mortal wound has a duration left of 5-6sec...when debuffs drops off the tank can return on meele the boss.

Whith a high dps group this operation can be done only 2 times...

This boss is made a lot easier if you're kiting the right way. Several times I've won this fight, without a dispeller for haste and with low DPS. The trick is to use Intervene to kite when he isn't hastened, that way you can keep away from him easily. To kite even further spot a normal mob, and Intercept it if you have the rage. It should give you enough time to easily clear the debuff.

Confirmed by me: Druids' Frenzied Regeneration does not get affected by the healing de-buff, what a relief. :D

I had an issue with Temporus tonight.

I was tanking with absolutely no issues... we had shadow priest and paly so heals were doing fine.. I was chilling with 38% dodge rate and 14k hp.. and 12k or so armor... he had 4 debuffs on me, i dodged his mortal wound (Resetting the debuffs and removing them), and then i died instantly. Nothing in the combat log, nothing. 100-0 one shot....

Can anyone please explain this? Is there an issue with dodging multiple mortal wounds? This was most frustrating, last part of my attunement chain and it was just before server shutdown..

Heroic Ability:

Temporus will throw up a Spell Reflect shield (easily visible like a mage's mana shield or priest's PW:S) periodically, in addition to his haste. Trying to dispel his haste while his shield is up will reflect the dispel back at you. It is immune to mass dispel.

Couldn't see any post about it so might as well; A Fel Hunter's "Devour Magic" can remove his Haste buff, so use that if you don't have a mage with you. Just set it to attack with devour on autocast. Works flawlessly.

here's a strategy which i think it's pretty useful and efficient... Tank should go on boss. At 5 sunders everybody should start DPSing... Some1 then should use his dragon to nuke adds... (mage or hunter if u have those in ur party). Warr should also use shield wall and everything he has to protect himself coz this boss does fucking massive dmg specially when he enrages or sth. GL!

I don't know if it's new but I did Temporus today and it seems he have a healing ability. He went from about 25-30% to 55%. Never seen that before. We managed to kill him but Medivh despawned.

Another way of dropping the debuff is to feral charge an add that's semi far away when the debuff ticks to about 4-5 seconds.

He is the hardest boss in the instance. I still don't understand why people have so much problems with him. We usually just nuke him 100%, then drop a beacon afterwards for the adds on medivh. Rogues(I'm one) will need to save vanish or use feint though for that. Blowing CDs on this guy is a good idea too cause you don't really need them for anything else in BM.

The only problem with this guy is if his debuff stacks to a high number.

Otherwise, just ignore the adds and dps, and if you have enough, he'll go down pretty fast.

I discovered in a recent run (with a group with low dps but lots of healing) that if his debuff ever stacks all the way to 10, he will immediately wipe all aggro on the tank, with predictable consequences.

This isn't really any worse than it would be to have the tank keep his aggro but be completely unhealable, though.

I was healing for a group and we were on Temporus. I'm not sure if he evade bugged or what but about 2 seconds after I dispelled him he bugged out and flew back to his portal and had full health. Anyone else had this problem?

Tanked him last night.
Of the 3 bosses I had the most difficulty with this one. Imho, he hits harder than the 3rd boss. His enrage buff, essentially makes him do 'rogue like' attacks on you that hit really hard. Plus the MS debuff can challenge the healers.

Everyone should be dps'ing this boss and forget the adds. Burn him fast. Blow everything you've got, shield wall, last stand, etc. if you have to. Mages should be spell stealing the enrage buff to lower his dps. Warriors, keep shield block up. If you get too much of that MS debuff the healer will not be able to help you.

After downing the boss 1 person pop a trinket on medivh to clear the adds.

I have done BM up to exhalted and the thing I have noticed is that his knockback actually works to your advantage. Once the tank is knocked back try and keep backing up to reset the debuffs, after they are reset get back on him. Your healer should be able to heal through 3-5 debuffs. For heaven's sake do not put your back to a tree to tank him. Every time a tank has tried this we have got 9 debuffs. Remember knockback is your friend.

IO fond this EXTREMELY difficult. I have tried it over times and always wipe on the second boss, those mortal wonds hurt like hell.

Can anyone advise on group combination please?
and also who should be on ads and how often and when shold i use teh beacon etc. Help would be greatly appreciated. IM jsut sick of this

Im an average geared druid with about 15k hp, 25% dodge in bear and this place is great fun, probably my favorite instance due to it being quick and simple. However this boss is bar far one of the harder ones to tank as a druid. I thought id share a few tips in case your struggling.

My general aim is to take some kinda dispeller in the group.. Priest/Shaman/Mage(spell steal)/Lock(fellhound) so you are able to remove his increased attack speed/movement speed buff, This makes quite a difference.

I also happen to have this trinket Badge of Tenacity which can make quite a difference with the extra 10% chance to dodge. However its not really needed it just helps.

As the fight progresses when im on about 5 stacks of the healing debuff i make sure the boss is dispelled and wait untill there is about 5sec left on the healing debuff. I then pop the trinket and feral charge one of the adds that are coming through the portal and by the time the boss catches up to me ive lost the debuff and can continue the fight as normal. Having said all that there are still times when this fails and we wipe or come very close to wiping so its just a little luck also.

When I first hit 70 and was healing this place barely any tanks were geared enough to get debuffs to drop on their own and dps wasn't really good enough to burn him down, so I solved the problem my own way... by BoPing the tank. Yep ladies and gentlemen, it's worth sacrificing a dps to keep your tank alive when he gets too difficult to heal. And who knows, maybe you have a rogue who can evasion tank or whoever it goes to can take a few hits before debuff wears off and tank can grab it back.

Going to run BM for the first time this weekend and was reading up on this fight.

Is it safe to assume that Shield Slam will dispell the 'magical' hasten effect?

It also looks like Shield Block/Revenge/Revenge/Repeat will help keep the Mortal Wound from stacking too high.

Sounds like a fun fight for a Prot Warrior. I'm looking forward to it.

Note that with a protection spec Warrior, you do not need an offensive dispel in your party. You can remove the haste buff yourself with Shield Slam.

This drake could actually be considered as end boss, judging by the difficulty of taking him down. Key here is all out DPS, pop trinkets, arcane power, recklessness, whatever. For the tank, Shield Block can help with the Mortal Wound and minimize the healing debuff. Save your beacons for the rift that spawns along with Temporus and onwards, if you have most of them. It should be a breeze.

tanks should be a little careful here, his hitbox is rather small and difficult to keep track of all the time as he hovers
just keep an eye on the target needs to be in front of you warning and usually backing up a little is all that's necessary

Does anyone else think he looks way awesome? Would be great to see a mount like this.

Though lore wise I don't know how much sense it would make riding an infinite drake.

I still hope it gets implemented as one once though.
