Oh, and to avoid the "first" issue...First.
7th mmoui tastes good in my mouth...
Isn't that what curse client does?
Took 4 posts to mention curse. I'm surprised!ABOUT TIME IT GOT RELEASE BTW! <Insert idiot it comment about addons being free and how I deserve them> ;) :P(yay though ;))
I think thats the same as WoWMatrix. I remember some1 said that some addons are missing there coz there isnt any "Donate" button. Now there is ^^Thats absolutley the same IMO
There are a number of very significant differences between Minion and WowMatrix, primarily legal, ethical and moral.
Downloading now, hopefully it's a good replacement for the trashy curse updater.edit: Liking it sofar, the best feature is by far the update all feature. :) (Take that Curse!)
I don't trust it...But I guess I'll try it out.
Why don't you trust it? Lol.
OMG, it's soo sloooow :(
It is laggy as hell on my comp. It opens up 120 Processors of Java to run it. o.O
1) Does it contain ads?- If it contains ads, I just won't use it, ever. There've been too many problems with clients like this accidentally downloading viruses through their ads.2) Where does it get the addons from? - I need to know exactly where it's sourcing each of the files it downloads. Basically, if it's anywhere except wowinterface and maybe wowui.incgamers or curse, I won't use it. Any sites that aren't those three (or perhaps an addon's own site) can't be trusted.3) Does it perform some kind of check on the .zip files before it unpacks them, making sure they contain only file types that really should be in an addon?- If it doesn't, it should. Again, too many problems have been caused by clients downloading tainted files containing viruses.4) Is there an option to download the updates automatically, but NOT unpack them?- I'd much rather do it this way to manually check my addons. I'd rather it worked basically like a scraper, taking the URLs I give it and telling me when they're updated so I can download the new version. That's pretty much the only way I'd ever use one of these things. In short, I'm probably not going to use this, but that's a few ways you could convince me to change my habit. Open source would help enormously to soothe my fears, but I doubt that's going to happen :P
