Parental control...alhough i still never study :D
I do my homework shortly before it is due. I'm never late, but I'm never early.
Well my mom looks after some of my friends and her rule is do homework first, then free time. Sadly, we had state testing (was WAY easier than we thought i was going to be) but we had no homework that week!We look after them until about anywhere from 4 to 6:30. On Fridays all they do is watch On Demand so there's my chance to play!I also have to practice for piano (I GOT DONT STOP BELIEVING!) and that's normally after homework.TL;DRMy rotation for the day:School>Home>HomeWORK>Piano>Stuff with friends until they get picked up(Wii, Youtube, etc.)>WoW>Dinner>WoW>TV in Bed>Sleep and then spam that for 5 days.Rotation for Weekend:Get up>Eat>XBox/WoW>WoW>Lunch>WoW>Call Friend/XBox/WoW> Dinner>Computer (NOT WoW)>TV in Bed>Sleep
i never study and im a honor student :) i've always been gifted in academics.
im a bit of a procrastinator myself, but homework i try to do as soon as i get it. projects take forever for me to start on.schedule: school, any homework i still have, snack, WoW, dinner, WoW, read in bed, sleepi have never studied myself, but i haven't been to college yet, so undoubtedly i will study for the first time there D:
I Dont play Wow on the weekdays anymore. Period. School is more important, and i have to have a social life :). Even on the weekends, I dont play much anymore. Only usually log on to raid. For example, im supposed to be writing a report for Spanish but im blowing it off for wowhead :). That my way of being a gamer and a schooler.
What is Real life?I feel ur pain though, man, I had a psychology and a humanities final not long ago, aced both, though, and got two A's
I do most homework at school so it doesn't really matter. But when it come down to studying (such as now), I put WoW in the back. Though I cannot completely get out of it. I study for the whole day until about 9pm or so, then my brain dies. After that I go on WoW and do some mindless healing on my pally. But during these times I don't dare to raid, sometimes I go on just to do a heroic or daily, to get the feel of WoW only. Sometimes you need to just tell your guildies that RL takes priority, and they should understand that as well. Well, atleast on my server and guild they do, not sure about yours.
My technique: Study at school. If there's any reading left read it in the bus home. If there's any homework left do it in the bus home. Then you get home, eat something, and play WoW as much as you want. In exam period I make up a strict schedule, and that's it!
Get home @ 4. do any homework/assignments till 6.dinner,shower all that stuff till usually 7:30. get on WoW at 7.30-8 raid till 11. that routine everyday except tuesdays >_> lol. on tuesdays, its bed time @ 8. :D
Weekends are a much needed break from the daily stresses of work or school. A short life lesson learned the hard way...Work over during the week so you don't have to work on the weekend.
'Es, 'ou suck zat life.
Apart from the courses coursework, I do very little study, I would rather open my computer and prod around in there... which is why I'm saving up for a new PC. Static electricity can be pretty nasty.
I work doing building (without getting to specific) so once I'm home I can do whatever I like. So basically I work play whatever I feel like (usually wow atm). Then get enough sleep to do it all again. The real world has to come first or you end up one of those smelly nerds in a room with somebody trying to look after you. However a quote for you all that I always liked when I was in high school "I should be doing my homework but I want to be playing games. So I'm compromising by sitting on IRC and doing neither."
I'm in the Marine Corps, so school and homework is a thing of the past. After work I usually come home, eat, work out and spend time with the wife. Since she has a 70 Warrior, we end up playing WoW. If i don't get to play that night, I'll play when she goes to sleep...go to work the next day and repeat. On the weekends I'll devote one day to WoW and the other day to cleaning and other misc. things. Since I'm stationed in the middle of no where...it's easy to spend all my time on WoW.And there is no other game...there is only WoW!
i have my Sport Physics Biology Geography and Chemistry exams next week =]
i usually end up putting off my school work till the end of the day then doing it at night. heh, oh well. at least WoW taught me one good thing, how to appreciate a good morning... 5:30 am every morning.
Simple. I'm in a very computer oriented school, which means we use Laptops in lessons.Three rules:1. At school, I level characters.2. I plan raids beforehand, thus they don't interfere with my studying.3. I study at home what my classmates did at school, and plan my working times according to the raids I want to attend.Has worked fine until now...
