The thing is, theres always gonig to be people who take down bosses and maybe even whole raids in 1-2 days. From what I heard, SK gameing took 7 days to get 10 people to 80, go threw naxx, and down malygos as soon as the game was out. dont get disscuraged, uldar will be plenty hard to finish :)
The "Easy" mode isn't supposed to be hard in anyway, it was intended for casual raiders. Once Yogg-Saron is downed on Hard mode, that's gonna be a real feat. Not this...
I think it was a great idea to establish the hard mode options in most encounters. There are over 11 million people playing WoW and I guess, they all should have a chance to experience the great work of the Blizzard developers. We should definitely measure the elite guild's progress on the hard mode progress.
What is all this "too easy" whining? All those guilds had been training on PTR for weeks. Those who haven't had the privilege of PTR found themselves facing the brick wall that is Ulduar. Ignus, Razorscale and XT-002 Deconstructor had to be hotfixed. What, read bosskilling guides and watch videos? Here is news for you - there are no reliable guides until after 2-3 weeks into the patch.
I love that screenshot of Finding Yoggy =P
The problem with Naxx is that it was so easy that people were constantly pugging it and many of them doing rather well.I haven't attempted an Ulduar PUG, but I've heard some people say that their PUGs failed hard. Of course, as more people get gear and as the strats for each boss become more available, the possibility of it being pugged goes up. However, I doubt that it will become the pugfest that Naxx was (at least not before at least one more raid instance is released). At first I was against having tons of hard mode achievements, but now that I've seen a little of how it played out, I think it is a good thing. Casual guilds will beat it on easy mode. Hardcore guilds will beat it on hard mode and actually get better loots for it - they even get to fight a boss that the easy mode folks won't get to see! And pugs will have a wipefest on the first couple bosses.Oh. And grats to Ensidia. (No need to be jealous folks and tell them they have no life...) Now come back when Algalon is down! >:D Oh, and I can't help but wonder if any of the hardcore raiding guilds decided to do everything on hard mode so they could try Algalon this week, even if that meant losing their chance of a world first Yoggy kill...
I don't think it's easy, there has only been a few guilds that have killed Yogg. If lots of guilds have killed him, then yes, I'd say it's too easy but that's not the case. A few professional guilds have done it, but nothing more. They have even skipped the hard mode boss to do it, so it's obviously not that easy. It's actually quite difficult, and for most guilds, they will never see Yogg on easy mode. I can't wait to see hard mode though, that will be interesting for sure.
Considering that this guild is the best in the world (according to WoWjutsu) Im not suprised.
This is what you get when you allow raids to be tested in the PTR.Seriously, they should exclude new raid content from testing (or atleast large portions of it). I hope Blizzard tries this out in their next raid content patch and thoroughly test it internally (ATLEAST most bosses).I really wish to see what happens if there is no information known to ANYONE beforehand (not even strategies/abilities) and basically completely run into the unknown. This will seperate the true guilds from the "we spent more time on the PTR than everybody else" guilds
People keep forgetting that theorycrafters and such weren't an "issue" back in vanilla. You didn't know as much as you do now about the game mechanics. And not only that, people have gotten better at this game. They've played, raided and killed stuff since 2005, it's only reasonable we kick arse!
Uhh... no.Those guys that down Yogg may have skipped bosses, were probably already fighting him the last few mos. on PTR...Ulda is plenty challenging. We went against Ignis for an hour and a half figuring out how to get those adds down.Ulda is great. =) I like it. All the other out there clearing it already, GJ, now watcha gonna do for the next 6 mos?--DK
In my opinion, Ulduar is not too easy. Even many hardcore raiders are still not well geared enough to attempt it, (ie many people still in epics with gs 200). There are a select few however how are good enough to take on ulduar, that being said though its only really the elite guilds who can manage it atm. I think it will be a good while before people can even consider PuGing Ulduar, maybe a PuG wont even be possible. The raid will remain a challenge for a long time i think, but i always think though 'great you've cleared Ulduar... what you gonnna do to the next expansion now?'. I think i'll leave it a bit and make sure i'm in full 219 gs gear before i go again, it was a shock to the system last time and prefer to be in a better group.
now go and try to kill every boss and try to get achievements and become the #1 guild in the world.
Why does all old gods C´thun, yogg-saron look like big blobs?
