Well, I started when the game came out in the EU with a troll rogue, got him to 60, found out that farming fire res gear for MC sucked, so I rolled a Mage, when I had him at 60 for about 2 months I find out that my guild has to many mages and I wouldnt get a raid spot. well well I think, Ill just get another thing we dont have, leveled my druid to 60, got him ZG gear, then got another guild and continued to naxx. When TBC hit I levled my trusty druid to 70 and found out that it was becoming to boring to play wow, took a 2 month break, gave the acc to a friend and after my break I got another acc, leveled a paladin to 70. tried her in kara, found out it was less fun that healing on a druid, so I thought id roll a dps specced something, that became my priest who I got to 70 in about 4 weeks.Wotlk came and I leveled my priest to 80, found him boring since the new talents and such where to confusing and I couldnt be bothered to read up on how to do proper dps with him. Leveled a DK to 80, tanked with him, decked him out in tier7-7.5 items. Rolled a alliance druid with my mate thanks to RAF (recruit a friend) got it to 80. currently working on my third druid in my wow career on my home server horde side.70 Druid (old acc)60 Mage (old acc)60 Rogue (old acc) (had the name before that crazy warrior pat went and became famous)70 Paladin80 Priest80 Death knight80 Druid51 Mage17 Druid44 Rogue29 HunterCant say Im an alt'aholic, I just get bored of my "main" quickly so I change, also the fact that at some points I find blocks where I cant get better gear mean I have nothing to do with that char.
I would definitely say I'm an altoholic. While I do have a "main" that I concentrate most of my time/effort/gold into, I have a small herd of other characters all in the same guild that I've been working on not-so-gradually. At the time of this writing I have:80 druid (main)80 warlock80 death knight74 shaman (currently working on him)71 hunter45 paladin34 priest15 mage (started for S&Gs, actually enjoy him)
I have on my main server:1 lvl 80 Warlock (Tailor/Ench)1 lvl 60 DK (Skinner/Herb)1 lvl 30 something Warrior (Mining/BS)1 lvl 27 Priest (Herb/Alch)1 lvl 20 something Mage (Eng/JC)1 lvl 22 Warlock (Herb/Scribe)and 1 lvl 17 Rogue (Skinner/LW), all Forsaken. Most of the alts are for the potential professions, although most will likely never get to the point where they would be useful. The weaker warlock was to be a bank alt, but then Inscription came, and he picked that up. Soon after I got my DK and set him to gathering skins and more herbs. The rogue... I was planning on making him a twink for pvp, but then I found I absolutely hated the rogue playstyle. He's still around, though, because he's the only one with leatherworking.I've definately gone with endgame.
Well i wouldn't say i'm an alt-aholic but i do have alts, now some of them are so neglected that i do not remember their names so forgive the dwindling links1) 80 Elemental Shaman, Malliya2) 75 Feral Druid,Skyfall (Current Project, his name is screwed up its got the .. thing on the a)3) 67 Unholy DK4) 34 Beastmaster Hunter5) 26 Protection Paladin,Vanthen (for some reason i remember him)6) 12 Priest, Discipline (Just made him, switched my shaman from resto to elemental so i just had to make a new healer :)
Altaholic as well80 priest80 Shaman80 dk73 paladin71 Mage70 Hunter71 druid20 Warrior12 Rogue1 Warlock
I attribute mine to insanity. When Wrath released I had a 70 of every class on the same server and faction; all but the warrior and shaman were born in Vanilla. I love my guild if it's not blatantly obvious. :)Currently:80 Mage, Human Female80 Priest, Night Elf Female80 Paladin, Human Female73 Shaman, Draenei Male71 Hunter, Dwarf Male70 Druid, Night Elf Female70 Death Knight, Night Elf Male70 Warrior, Draenei Female70 Warlock, Human Female70 Rogue, Night Elf Male

when 60 was the level cap, i was constantly making characters, getting to mid 30's then making a new character.. then i finally got a rogue to 60. then i made a second rogue and leveled it to 70 when burning crusade came out, i still have my 60 rogue. then i made a shaman to 70, and when wotlk came i leveled that shaman to 80. then i made a mage and leveled it to 80yeah.
the first class that i played was a mage and ive been playing as one ever since. though sadly i had to delete my 66 hunam mage because alliance sucked in pvp. but now im 75 UD frost mage and it still is awsome! though i am creating a destruction warlock and creating another class too. the only problem is that i cant exactly choose which! im thinking of doing either a rogue, hunter, or shaman. the reason i dont want too many alts is that i want to get these alts to 80 by the end of summer ( when i go to High School ^^). so, im asking 2 questions here. 1: what class(es) should i do? 2: do you think if im able to play most of the summer about every day i would be ble to lvl 2 or more alts? this could deffinatly help with my dessicion. :) o and im restricted to only 4 hours a day during the summer, so that im not on it 24/7 and can go to the pool. and since my mage is going to be 80 soon ill start as soon as he gets there, which should be in about a few weeks or more because i can only play on weekends for 4 hours. ya my parents dont let me on too long :(
I play way too many alts. I have the max amount of characters for one account now. But now I enjoy making a Death Knight, getting him through the starting zone, then deleting him and repeating.. Anyone else do this also? I have a 80 DK and just love the questing area for starter DKs. The idea of talking to the Lich King! I think it is the best. I get to be a bad guy for once. I attack the very people I defend with my other characters. That idea simply amazes me.
I got a 80 druid and a 49 warrior twink. period.
Hehe, I have way too many alts too. These are my current characters that i play.80 Spriest77 Prot War61 Death Knight33 Hunter28 Shaman19 Warlock17 Rogue9 Pally7 Mage2 DruidAnd a bank toon lol
Same issue. Alliance80 Shaman80 DK73 Hunter 70 Warrior71 Rogue63 Drood!62 Warlock61 Priest41 Mage12 Pally19 Hunter (Twink)Horde60 Warrior36 Hunter 44 Warlock
My first was a hunter, and he got to 70. I lost the account a few months before WotLK.Once I got a new account, I made a warlock because back in vanilla warlocks were VERY rare on my server. He's now 80, and a bloodelf.I'm working on a paladin who is around 40. I kinda regret it, because 2 bloodelves totally makes me look like a person who started in BC.And I've ALWAYS waned a priest. On my old account I had a level 44 priest, man I loved it. But can't seem to start another one.Total on my server I have:80 Warlock67 DK24 Mage22 Hunter40 Paladin2 Priest16 Druid )That I also really wanna level) >:[
I've never had a main. I couldn't decide what class to be, so I didn't decide.I started with a warrior, rogue, hunter, and warlock. Got them all to 60, and then added a shaman. Got all five to 70, and then added a druid. Now I've got all six toons at 80.The original plan was to use rested XP to its best benefit with a toon rotation. Then I got interested in doing the same quests six times with different toons to see what each class should do in a given situation. Great fun.And with six toons, I've got all the professions covered. Kinda nice to have a full team at your disposal.
i think it steams from my failed atempts to play when the game first came outmy human mage only got to 15 and i found it to hard to play past that point, never figured out why toowhen TBC came out a few of my friends started playin, we all ended up with like 4 chars at level 20ish on the one server,i currently have:80 deathknight73 mage62 huntard45 shammy44 pally16 preast16 warrioronce again im fining my mage a pain to level so im leveling my alts/edit my friend says " alts are for when you get board of your main, but still want to play wow"
I'm an altoholic simply because I really enjoy being able to self-sustain, and I hate dealing with the AH. It's great having a bunch of high-level professions. I can have my alch make a bunch of health/mana pots, then ship them over to my engineer who can make them into stacks of 20, and she gets the mats from my miner. Or I can use my scribe to make a vellum, ship it to my enchanter, who ships it to my main to enchant my new weapon upgrade. I still need a leatherworker, and my bs is still pretty low. But eventually I'll have every profession at 450.
My first character was a warlock back when warlocks really really blew. Then came a warrior. Both were orcs and never made it past 10. I moved servers to play with on PvP server and ended up with a mage, my first real character. Made it to 35 before I gave him up to play a paladin who ended up being my first 60. Then I leveled a rogue to 60 on another server with friends. Then a warrior back on the other server, again to 60. Then a mage, a shaman on another server, a hunter, another warrior, another rogue, and finally priest. All went to 70 on TBC release. Then I gave away a warrior, a rogue, the mage, the shaman and the priest to various friends and family who I got into the game, and promptly rolled up a new mage, shaman, and rogue. As of now, I have:80 Death Knight80 Warrior80 Paladin75 Rogue70 Hunter70 Shaman64 Rogue (I got kinda bored with the third one lol)52 MageLeveling has gotten so natural to me, people seem amazed at how fast I level. I play less than most and still get to high level before most.
U mean u still level at barren? eeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwI am not sure abt playing alts. I hate it when i wanted something on my main and it only drops when i play my alt. Thats probably the worst of all. For example hailstorm drop when i was tanking with my DK.
I create alot of alts, i currently have:80 Hunter69 Death Knight60 Shaman35 Mage29 Paladin22 Warlock16 Druid10 Rogue10 Warrior10 PriestAnd yes I do have each class above level 10 on a single server.
