Very Very well done! Kudos
been wiating for one of these. nice!
I've been doing these for awhile... I love it, thanks for the guide: It'll help the people in general shouting "Wait, what?"
Ground mounts are 100 seals not 50
Love it, Argent =DI actually just got Valiant status. Pretty exciting =)
As a wanabe mount and pet collector this looks to fun! I can't wait till I get my comp up and running again to do these dailys! Comp is fixed and doing dailys!
Made Champion for my second faction today. So far that makes Stormwind (I'm a human.) and Gnomeregan Exiles. Tomorrow I'll get the Mechanopeep. ^_^For the benefit of anyone out there having trouble wining jousting matches. Here is my pattern, and it's served me pretty well so far:Before you start, stack your shields to 3 (green). Then start the match. As the NPC runs off into position, you can still attack him, use this time to charge them, then, as your charge takes you farther, turn back towards them and toss a Shield Breaker as you run back. Refresh any shields you may have lost, and start melee-ing them. After a few seconds they will run off again, rinse and repeat. Using this method you can finish all 3 Valiant matches without hitting Refresh Mount, although it is a good idea as a precaution. This method also works for Champion matches, but you will need to hit Refresh Mount.
15 more days until I gain the 'Crusader' title...I already went and did the Home Cities reputations, and you get 250 rep from doing each Argent Crusade Champion daily. If you've been doing all the Argent Crusade quests already, you'll be exalted with them well before obtaining Champion status with your Home Cities.
I believe death knights receive Knights of the Ebon Blade reputation instead of Argent Crusade for their Champion dailies. Once they've become champions, Death Knights are sent to Crok Scourgebane rather than Eadric the Pure for their daily quests. That's why we have four versions each of Taking Battle To The Enemy, Among the Champions, Battle Before The Citadel, and Death From Above in the database instead of just two. Two versions are for Alliance and Horde death knights, and the other two versions are for other Alliance and Horde characters.
Ah, touche... Will be fixin' it soon, mon!
I'm on my way to that Darkspear Raptor, mon. Then it's all over Zeliek's mount.
woah. thanks for the explanation to everything.
I'm going to get the Argent Hippogryph out of the way first. 250 seals is a long haul, but my Cenarion War Hippogryph wants some company. I'm tempted to go for the mini-pets after that, but since they're BoE, I may just wait for them to show up on the AH at reasonable prices. Today (at least on the US servers) was the earliest people could have gotten the necessary 40 seals, and sure enough a few pets showed up on the Auction House. However, the minimum bid was 4.5k, which was just a little too rich for my blood.
My own server hasn't seen any pets in the AH yet, but I don't doubt the prices will be insane whenever they appear. I think I will go after the ground mounts first, and then the Hippogryph. There is slight probability that its price will be reduced with the next big patch, to make it more affordable. Either that, or more sources of Champion's Seals will become available. Probably the latter.
Nice blog ArgentSun. Sorts out the quests quite nicely, well laid out, and overall well made. /cheer unto you. I was looking forward to seeing this since you dropped a hint in my jousting guide. Once again, great guide. And always remeber, when Jousting put on your best RP outfit. You'd better look the part of Argent Champion. Give me 2 more weeks and I will be Crusader Kazaorth. Nice ring to that...On a side note, to those thinking of getting the Hippogryph: Remember, if you are doing "What a long strange trip it's been" maybe get somthing else; this mount may look cool, but assuming you start your grind today, you will only get a month or 2 with this beautiful mount before you get your Violet Proto-Drake. Obviously your choice, but I don't think anyone will be using this over Purple-Dragon. Though good luck in both grinds!
Can you continue to do the Valiant dailies once you're a champion with all five factions? It's turning into a decent quest hub for dailies, if so.
For any prospective collectors, you may wish to read the following:It takes 148 133 days^ of Champion's Seal dailies and 2500g' needed to buy all 5 10 ground mounts (Horde | Alliance, 100 seals each for new models, 5 seals and 500g' each for old models), and the flying Argent mount (Argent Hippogryph, 250 150 seals). If you plan to buy all 5 of your faction's small pets (Horde | Alliance, 40 seals each) with your* Seals, that's an additional 40 days.Buying all 5 of the Tabards (Horde | Alliance, 50 seals each) is an additional 50 days.Buying all 5 of the Banners (Horde | Alliance, 15 seals each) is an additional 15 days. That's a net total of 253 238 days^ of Champion's Seal dailies.Buying each of the small pets from a different player saves you 40 days, for a net of 213 198 days^ of Champion's Seal dailies. These numbers can be further reduced (however, slightly) by picking the Champion's Purse as the selectable reward for these dailies (instead of the Champion's Writ), because as of Patch 3.1.2, it has a very small chance of also containing a Champion's Seal.*Note: each small pet is not BoP, thus allowing you to find these from other players.^Note: the 10 Champion's Seals, or 2 days worth of dailies, that you get from A Champion Rises (the one-time quest given at Champion's rank) is deducted from this number.'Note: this value is reduced by repuation discounts.EDIT: Numbers/Info updated for Patch 3.1.2, in which 5 additional ground mounts were made available, the price of the Argent Hippogryph reduced, and additional Champion's Seals made available through the Champion's Purse.
As a big fan of Monty Python, is was really excited about the achievement involving killing the black knight. If you've got totally no idea what i'm talking about, check this video of the black knight in action =P
