Excellent!I totally rely on these walk-throughs for all the 'extra curricular' activities.Great layout, and all the information I needed to adventure into the area and get started.
I have to disagree with the long Jousting Guide posted earlier. A lot of the information in it is just wrong. Charge DOES depend on range, and the champions do exactly as much melee damage as you do, given the state of the target's shields. The champions will not simply sit in melee with you, they will always run out to try to do specials, leaving an opening for your own specials.I'm not going to write a lengthy guide on how to do it, it really isn't that hard to figure out. I don't really want misinformation spread, however. Monkey running is not the answer.
Meh...I prefer the youtube guide some dude from the ptr did(3 hq parts). And to those wondering about the duration, blizz has said that it is permanent. The goblin dailies though are supposedly linked to the next raid, and functions much like aq40. Where the whole realm does a repeatable quest enough times and then the raid is unlocked. And according to a blue post, they are updating the visual of the current faction mounts. And allowing you to buy the current mounts for 5seals/500g once you are exalted with that faction. Making a total of 10mounts you can get from Argent Tournament. Which means good news for all you mount collectors ^.^-Seref
several of pets have appeared on the AH now.. 2,000-3,000g each.. not bad for 8 days of dailies but i think mounts > gold atm but i am tempted...
will this be here forever or just till a curtain time?
For ever. Now, is it just me or did Blizzard make many weapons look like Warhammer 40K weapons? I see a Space Marine Chainsword (Gnomeragon Bonechopper), a Daemon Hammer (Ironforge Blunderbuss) and a Kroot Battle Staff (Sen'jin Rifle)...
I can take down a champion and only take 3k damage(out of 50k max hp)...and thats with my laggy computer. My basic strategy is as follows:1) Always start a fight with 3 defends.2) When you start the fight, charge them once they are far enough. And spam thrust while you are charging, most of the time you can land a thrust in your charge doing more damage.3) Throw your shield-breaker when you are turning around, and head back into melee.4) Spam thrust until you can use your defend.5) Run back out into range, and charge( using thrust again). Then just repeat steps 3-5 until you win ^.^
how long until blizz removes this like they did the proto drakes? i also find it wierd that they bring this out the same time as ulduar and then noblegarten right on top of it. imao they could have done noblegarten in the beginning of april to defrey some preulduar bordome and saved this for the summer after ulduar gets played out. there´s enough stagnent months ahead. now we have childrens week already.... why have events overlap eachother like this? blizz starves us then gives us bigger bites than we can chew at once.
I really hope "Blizzard removed the protodrakes, so they'll probably remove <x>" doesn't become a meme. Slippery slope arguments are tiresome at best. The Argent Tournament is a permanent event. The version we have in 3.1 is just the first stage, one which I suspect will evolve into the full-blown siege of Icecrown Citadel. The establishment and evolution of the Tournament ground is the next stage in the advance made by the Argent Crusade and Knights of the Ebon Blade, which began with the capture of Crusaders' Pinnacle and the Shadow Vault. As far as why Noblegarden didn't come out earlier, that one is obvious. It was part of 3.1. How could it have? As to why Ulduar and the Tournament were released at the same time, that was so 3.1 had content for both raiders and non-raiders. I know there's criticism that Ulduar is too easy, but even so it's still beyond the reach of the majority of players. The Tournament, on the other hand, is something anyone can do.
On Jousting.Being a champion for Darnassus I have now beaten every faction at least once.My basic strategy, though slow, has worked for every one.1. Stack Defend 3 times2. Challenge a competitor.3. When he/she gets at range throw Shield Breaker and then close4. Thrust while maintaining 3 stacks of Defend5. When they move away, let them get at range throw Shield Breaker then close and then repeat steps 3 and 4 until done. Don't let them get at range so fast that they can charge...Just let them get a little ahead, throw Shield Breaker and then close.I don't use Charge. In my experience, everytime I charge they get off a Shield Breaker on me or sometimes a charge and I'm in the cooldown trying to stack Defends.
What happends when you get champion with the citysCompleting all the The Valient Charge quests for all of them.Do those dailys disappear? Can you just pick on wich city/rep to do them from?Help plz otherwise il keep doing these Darkspear trolls ones till im exalted and then switch City/Faction
Best strategy I've found goes as follows:Get 3 shields up before you start. Stand next to your opponent facing the same direction they are. Start the match. Let them move forward until you can use Shield Breaker. Use it and immediately get within Melee distance before your opponent can use Shield Breaker on you. Now get just far enough away from him to use Shield Breaker again and immediately get back to melee range, refresh shields if necessary. By now he should be trying to get away from you to do his Shield Breaker-Charge combo. Let him get just far enough away to charge, and do it. Don't Shield Breaker-Charge, just Charge. Go back to getting just far enough away to Shield Breaker, then back to melee range. Then get just far enough away to Charge, then back to melee range. You'll get the hang of it and it'll be easy street.*Notice I never say to use Thrust. You don't need to. You can if you wish, but I've won at least 20 matches in a row and I've never needed it.
I was going to pass these up, but now that I've read this guide, I really want to get into it!Very well written, btw!
do you have 2 be a certain level?
