Btw the the quests for being champion will take 8 days
so being exalted with like exodar is not the same as being a champion for exodar in the tournament?just wanted to clarify Thanks in advanceand how do I earn champion?and if I earn it with one place, I.e. exodar, i dont earn it in other factions like SW right?and do I have to be exalted with like SW to buy the horse for 100 seals?thanks again
Great guide.Love the event, too. In just a couple more days I'll be able to purchase my epic mage sword.
Excellent guide - Informative and flawless; didn't miss a thing! After a few weeks of doing 25 dailies/day to pay for my Mechano-hog, and to pay off debts from loans given in the last few days of that great farm, doing these dailies is a huge relief and change of pace from the same old monotony. With better rewards, too! These are definitely something I've done every day, and will continue to do until I've got all it has to offer :D.Good luck Achievement-Seekers and Collectors! See you at the end of... 188 days!(Thanks to Nafe's post; My target is the mounts and pets)
One thing I would like to know:If you are a champion of a race, the other 4 races will offer your quests to become a valiant of their faction. If you accept and complete one of those quests, are you still able to acquire Champion's Seal (because you are a champion of your old faction), or do you start over completely?
Being a Champion unlocks quests with the Argent Crusade/Knights of the Ebon Blade. You are no longer tied to the faction that got you to Champion. So yes, once you become Champion, you will have access to these quests regardless of which faction you are working for right now.
Just to clarify further, currently I'm at champion rank and still with my original faction, Ironforge. I have the achievement "Exalted Champion" I think it is. Supposing I switch to working for the Exodar, will the Ironforge quartermaster still sell to me? Thanks in advance.
Some jousting tips and other info. (My grammar and spelling are bad so dont be surprised. ;))JoustingThere has been some similar advise commented on earlier but felt some details could be made clearer. Also it concerns only tourney proper encounters, not the IC Citadel fights (which are similar but cruder).
one thing i wish they could have done...when you start trying to get Champion (or become Champion) for another city that you become able to use their mount to joust with...
One thing I have not been able to find out yet: how long does the tournament last? until 3.2? Until wow 4.0 or maybe forever?
hopefully it'd be at least a year cause if you were to get everything (all the mounts, tabards, pets, banners)...it'd be about ~3/4 of a year.but maybe it'll grow seeing that the center is not fully built yet. all that wood and stone the goblin's are making you get.
Adding to this, the central 'keep' thats being built has been said to be key to efforts towards Northrend raiding and or the Icecrown zone (and Citadel). That the actual Tournament remains is hard to say after the building goes up but it seems likely it will continue for a long time. Just to be safe its probably wise to filter what you really want for new mounts / pets and work down from there. :)
A better idea for your small Urge for buying companions before the Mounts... Level another character to 80 and complete the daily's on that character, just for the companions. Ever since Dual-Spec I've been doing a couple of those quests (ones without leaving the grounds, for quickness purposes) on my Healer, and I'm now saving up for the Overpriced Mounts on my main, and by the time I get enough for those, I'll have enough for Companions on my Healer. But then again, it's really a matter of how much you can tolerate doing 2 character's worth of Daily's every single day...
Great guide!I just have one question. How long will the tournament stay in the game, limited time or unlimited? :)
so are the ground mounts you can buy actually the same combat mounts you use for the quests? Mounted Ganking...anyone?
I found a horde who made a lvl1 alliance on a friends account who was tryng to sell the horde pets to the alliance. basically through the neutral ah, he was giving the horde BOE pet to the alliance lvl1, and was selling it. Being alliance, i worked up a deal with him so that he would trade me the horde pets every 7 days (i do my dailies every day) and i would trade him the alliance pets every 7 days. So, now i get to sell rare horde pets. :) Then, i worked out a deal with a pet collector that i would sell him the horde pets at 1800g, if he bought every horde pet. So now, every week i get 1800. I gave the pet collector a discount, to save me and him the trouble of trying to find a buyer, (and him a seller), I sold my first one to him at 2kg, but the next one's are at 1800.1800g every 7 days, (for 5 weeks) is pretty good imo for just doing you're dailies!
