I find this quite sad for those who actually decided to get the Brew of the year card. Now heaps of people will have the mount.QQ
This is the final thing that could prove that whining in numbers, not even in-depth, works. It worked on the pre-WotLK event, it worked on various other achievements, PvP segregation from PvE, dual specs, PvE to PvP servers, reputation grinds. Apparently there is no need to think ahead. If there is something you really miss, start whining about it.What I just wrote might be a bit simplistic, but it's true. Blizzard has given in to all the whining so far. I will hopefully move on from this game soon, with an anticipated title coming up towards the end of this year. Activision-Blizzard simply want a large subscription number, and I don't think I want to play such a game much longer.I'm a bit upset.
I think i just won the love fool achievement!
It seems that Whining works.Curses.
I still probably won't get the Brewfest Mount, so no Drake for me -.-
Justice. Sweet justice. And no i didnt need these 2 as i already have them. But i feel for all the millions, yes thats right, millions of people who so far have no been able to get those achievements.
I'm happy about the brew of the year one, since brewfest ended before the achievement system was implemented and a majority of players didn't even know about it before they had missed their shot at getting it. I was one of the people who hadn't heard about it until it was too late.I actually think that they shouldn't cave in to whining like this, but since I'm one of those who was benefitted, I aint gonna complain :P No, but seriously, it's not like I couldn't have gotten the information, it's my own fault, but I'm very grateful that I got another chance at it.The Be Mine! change is pure bull^&*! imo though, it's not meant for everyone to be able to get all the achievements, some require skill, some require luck and some require preparation.I hope that they revert both these changes, it would be the most fair imho. And yes, please, please call me a hypocrit!EDIT: Just to be clear, yes I got Be Mine! and no I didn't sign up for Brew of the Year.
I think its a good thing...especially the one for love fool...the event only ran a few days...which probally isn't to bad if your sitting around all day with nothing but wow to play but if you have to work and get other things done on the weekend aswell it doesn't leave a lot of time to go and get a bag of goodies every hour.
Having missed out on the Brew of the Year for Brewfest last year as I wasn't aware of it at the time and instead bought clothes (d'oh!), I am very happy at this change.Personally, to partially appease the legions of people calling me a pathetic whiner (which is all well and good if you don't have to wait an extra year, I might add), I would have added in another achievement that requires purchasing a membership and adding this into the meta achievement though. Now, if all goes to plan, I should be getting the achievement around Halloween when I get some better luck with that Squashling!Edit: How very weird, I must be psychic!
Seasonal achievements should be completeable within the event. BotY should never have been added to the Meta, and i support its removal - this is coming from someone who will get BotY in September. However people will whine about anything and i'm sure they will pick a new achievement to whine on now. Can't see many people getting it now Noblegarden is required, unless they're buffing Sunday's Finest and Dressed for the Occasion or just leaving them out of the Meta.
Thank you Blizz! Brewfest was on when I started playing so I couldn't do much of it :(
We all had our shot to get the membership before, so if you didn't buy it then your QQing is just plain stupid. I'm disappointed in these changes.-Have full Be Mine-Not have membership
Blizzard caves far too much in general.Whiney retards are ruining this game.
Wha!Damn it.I sacrificed my chances at getting Love Fool and Merrymaker because I didnt have the Brew of the Year achievement; so I still have to wait another year. . . .Ahh well. I didn't really like either of those titles anyway. xD
I find it pretty lame for BOTY. It was a neat, non luck-based achievement. But like you said, Blizzard caved to the QQ on the forums. They've been doing it a lot lately. It's kind of ruining things for the non-"gimme-now" generation. The Fool for Love achievement I can understand however because it's totally luck based and lame.@Bllets the membership wasn't luck based. It was a purchaseable reward (like the kodomount, the little outfit, etc)The hearts were however. It's like the trick or treat thing with the masks... it was pretty retarded because you had no control over it. I had a guildy who would literally get up in the middle of the night once every hour to try and get all the masks and he still didn't end up getting it. For people who do care, it's really lame.
