Keep in mind they're making Noblegarden part of the Meta-Achievement now.I wonder...
I don't get this, why exactly are people whining about other players being able to complete an achievement? I mean, how exactly will this affect your game experience? I personally assume it's been done to ensure that players, who rerolled Death Knights, won't have to wait a full year to complete this achievement.ETA: And I doubt Blizzard bothers with angry "I QUIT IF YOU DON'T BUFF A, B AND C, AND NERF X, Y AND Z!" posts. They're probably more interested in "I think the letters X, Y and Z are a bit too high on the alphabet, and here's my theorycrafting figures to explain why".

I personally assume it's been done to ensure that players, who rerolled Death Knights, won't have to wait a full year to complete this achievement.People want the titles, and the cool Violet Proto-Drake, which is a 310% speed flying mount. Also, people want to feel like they achieved something. It's psychological proof. This is why people grind and farm all the time, and do seemingly boring things like tedious raiding. They see a light at the end of the tunnel...
Oh I'm sorry, did Blizz ruin your sense of achievement at being able to open your mailbox once a month? That!Besides, if the BotY achievement wouldn't have been part of the meta in the first place, nobody would've ever complained about it. But nooo, now we can't show off with being hardcore enough to check our mailbox every month by being afk in Krasus's Landing mounted on our Violet Proto-Drake. Now people'll actually have to compare their achievements to ours to see that we got BotY.Brilliant!
Bastard valentine's gifts never dropped the dress for me, and i checked every hour religiously all week.I feel gimped.
What about me? I reactivated a week or two before Wrath. And DKs?
Personally, I don't like most of the holiday achievements. They kinda ruin the spirit.http://www.darklegacycomics.com/177.html
im glad because the stupid brew of the year thing was buggy as hell, 3 months of brews did not count for me despite me drinking them and taking screenshots of the effects.
Honestly, it isn't fair for the players who were actually around during last year's Brewfest and decided to sign up for the BoTY to be able to get their drake just because of that. Because they were around? Oh okay so I wasn't around cause my interest was elsewhere but I lose out for not being on to for my online avatar to get beer? That = lame. All these poor bastards who had that 'oh so special' feeling because they have a membership to get virtual booze for a whole year and they were going to get a really fast mount are QQing because that special feeling has been taken from them because now other people will be able to have the mount around the same time. GASP!Pleae people. Quit your &*!@ing and moaning. Blizzard listens to the many who want stuff like this done. They don't listen to the few who ^&*! and moan at every little change. If you don't like it go ahead and cancel your membership. There's probably 5 subscribers to replace you.On a side note, when the hell is Noble Garden anyway cause I have never seen it on the calendar? Also, I don't mind the Love Fool achievement being tweaked. I was able to get all the candies from one bag so I don't see the fuss over that.
<<<NEWBIE Need fo more infomation about achievement
I'm really laughing at all the people annoyed because ''their'' mount won't be so special anymore, if you want to be unique snowflakes and have a rare mount go raid for the Plagued/Black Drake or PvP for the Gladiator drake.Sidenote: I have BotY and couldn't care less about the mount.
We all had our shot to get the membership before, so if you didn't buy it then your QQing is just plain stupid. I'm disappointed in these changes.-Have full Be Mine-Not have membershipBecause, y'know, we were aware of the Proto-drake achievement when that Brewfest was around.OH WAIT.All you people QQing about the QQing are the idiotic ones. It was not fair that some people missed out on the membership card, because there was absolutely no way to predict that it would become part of an achievement that granted a 310%-speed mount. And what of the Death Knights who were created after that Brewfest had passed?Blizzard does not listen to mindless QQ. There were valid arguments behind this change. You can choose not to see that if you like, but whining that Blizzard is "Catering to whiners" is wholly ignorant and ironic.

They're probably more interested in "I think the letters X, Y and Z are a bit too high on the alphabet, and here's my theorycrafting figures to explain why".They probably do care about those angry posts. They lose money! And for Blizz thats just unacceptable.
Blizzard does not listen to mindless QQ. There were valid arguments behind this change. You can choose not to see that if you like, but whining that Blizzard is "Catering to whiners" is wholly ignorant and ironic. This might be. I did read some valid arguments, but even with those arguments in place blues had posted that they would never change this, because they felt it was doable within a reasonable amount of time, even if you started a Death Knight with the recent expansion.I am not crying about the excessive crying, which I merely think is annoying as hell because it spams the forums more than anything else. I am crying about the fact that when Blizzard makes up their mind clearly about something, they tend to change their standpoint in order to save subscriptions. They simply make no effort to please hardcore players at all. One could argue about achievement points being such a thing, but who cares. Achievements have been around long before Steam, even if it was without a silly date-stamped badge. They just want to appeal to as many as possible, like Nintendo Wii, instead of caring about their own and their hardcore players' wishes. I am actually for having some elitism in MMOs, as I think it adds depth for hardcore players, while "casuals" still have access to lots of content to soothe their tastes.
honestly.. I "farmed" for the "be mine!".. I would say it should include the rare-pet instead of "be mine!" .. lolWhy? I got 4 rare-pets and still couldn't complete "be mine!".. I am glad to hear it only takes 6 out of 8.. which makes me completing the Love Fool achievement!
All this crying over achievements really increases my desire for Diablo 3 to be released already.
Blizzard caved to the QQ on the forums. The Irony is that I see allot if QQ'ing about the QQ'ing. Personally I did not even know there was a mount available as an achievement reward... so... yeah.. My question is rather "Who cares?"As for the overall attitude of gamers it is rather pathetic. Will you every be happy with a change? In all the years I have played MMO's I have NEVER seen support, it is always "Oh no this will kill the game" or "what a crap change" or "xxxxx caved to the QQ".Make up your bloody minds. The developers can't keep everyone happy and they are doing a good job trying. So if you do not like a change... STOP PLAYING. "Oh no this will kill the game! This is horrible!... where is that 1 year subscription card..." It is like someone saying they hate x radio/tv show, yet they tune in every time. It is sad.
I think it's fair compensation that they made the brewfest tokens have duration. In the last brewfest I was saving for the 200 token costing brew-membership, but never really got that far. I got to 170 tokens before the event ended. Oh well, this year they had means to turn in old coupons for new tokens. I'll just save these in my bank for next year so I have a nice head start then. WRONG! Wham, come ptch 3.0.8, they had 21day duration. I didn't even notice it before I was and odd empty space in my bank. And the Love fool thing. I know plenty of folks that grinded the gifts every possible time they could, and got only few of the treat bags, and the last one just would no drop. I'm not sure if this change is good or bad thing, but I prefer thing that require work instead of luck. I'm one pumkin helm short of <the Hallowed>
I think Blizzard is caving in to common sense. Imagine doing all the achievements, then having to simply wait out 12 months until you get your drake... nonsense.
I find this quite sad for those who actually decided to get the Brew of the year card. Now heaps of people will have the mount.QQConsidering it was not known that getting it was going to be part of some grand achievement that would reward a 310% speed flying mount was a crummy thing to do. The people that didn't do so will have to wait until next brewfest, two full months after the fire festival, which will be the soonest you'll start to see the drake rewards. It's okay to have players jump through hoops for something, and a 310% flying mount is a pretty nice reward for something as easy as the achievement, but not giving people a clear idea on what to do is BS.Add to this the fact that it's being mentioned more and more that the mount might not be 310%, making this very amusing for people like me that don't really give a damn.
