You do realize, that you are QQing about people who QQ, right?why dont you let them QQ if thats wat they like to do, and why am I QQing you for QQing people who QQ.its an endless cycle.... AHHH
Crying is fine when it's done with a good reason. Complain with a reason, and make sure it's not a direct copy of something that has been posted 555 times already.
TL;DR VERSIONhttp://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2004/03/19/my issues have almost nothing to do with programming (though I admit that's partly because my main class seems to be getting some extra love from blizz these days). my issue is with half the people on the internet in general.the people who are funny in trade chat are one thing, but some people are total jerks on top of it. "jerk" is the lightest term I can apply to those people, and that is both an injustice and an understatement.just this last week I was running Heroic Old Kingdom for the tanking bracers off of Volazj. I was with some guildies and someone filling in. said filler was dps DK - he had some RP addon running, and even though Silver Hand is RP, the server (Horde-side anyway) is generally light, so the rest of us were yawning the entire time.we get to Volazj.we down him (my first time beating him).bracers drop.Me: HELL YESI roll need.DK rolls need.DK wins roll.Guildies: .............................................Me: WTFHDK leaves party and hearths. He puts us all on ignore.we aren't even done with the instance.bracers haven't dropped for me since.
I love how some people get all worked up about proposed changes. The changes on the PTR are just ideas Blizzard is toying with; they aren't set in stone. The buff to one class, is the end of another (or so the doomsayers would like you to think). Every class is OP in the eyes of another class. Unless we have all the same abilities (which would make the game really boring), don't count on that changing.
One of the things that bothers me the most in Wow is the lack of ability to completely solo a dungeon until you're 20 or 30 levels above the requirement.Rage Fire Chasm, especially, made me frustrated, as I play a mage, and I couldn't really solo the place until I hit about 45. Now, this may be a gear issue (I had the SM: Library shoulders until I went into Hellfire Ramparts), or it could be the fact that only one or two classes (Read: Paladin and Druid/Shaman) can actually solo dungeons.I think it would be nice to be able to run non-Heroic dungeons solo, if only so that you could finish all your quests.Granted, I played Diablo II for a good 6 years, and that's probably the main reason for my annoyance with having to group with anyone to get something done. After all, Diablo II was a game you could literally solo through the whole game. Sure, you had a henchman that had a brain that was just above the level of a cyanobacteria, but your character was capable of one-shoting just about anything with the right gear, and you could always be assured that you could eventually kill the boss at the end of the Act.Granted, if Blizzard made it so you could solo a Non-Heroic, I'm sure all the Retadins would QQ about the game being too easy.*shrugs* Such is life, I guess.
for me, arena and raiding is being "shortened out" when i was arenaing post-bc it was harder to obtain pvp gear. i mean you wouldn't just hit 80 then 5 hours later have most of the savage sets, i qq a lot about how arena isn't balance(plate verses clothies) because in fact its true. the amount of damage done on melee damage is doubled for them. sure we have some talents to save our skin from plate wearers but that doesn't change the fact that in the matter of momments you use those talents and once they're gone your left vulnerable which everything, right now is based off controlled burst damage. in burning crusade you often saw everything based off RNG now everything is controlled which is screwing up clothies. now i may be wrong and maybe were not getting screwed but in arena the amount of damage taken by me can be mitigated the same way as a holy paladin wearing pve gear. i'm a priest right now with a 1900 rated team and i've seen plenty of paladins wear there pve gear with there partners in both, as a priest i cannot do that because i'm just leaving myself to take more damage.the real reason why people qq is to get rid of the frustration it causes when you die to something in a short amount of time or when for example spells starts to miss or a fear didn't get off or it was resisted and it ends up ruining the match for both of you(i've seen this plenty of times on my side and the other side where it gets resisted or it misses) or when melee swings don't crit and so forth. even though pvp right now is controlled burst damage there are small RNG based stuff you can see.i also pve, and i've pve'd for awhile too its my favorite thing to do in most games(knowing the game mechanics are on your side anyway.) now qqing from pve for me anyway is the lack of content that requires time to take which most casual gamers don't have the time to do. which is ruining for most players like me, my guild right now disbanded because of the content being so god damn easy. none wanted to do achievements because it's just boring to try out for my guild. now i'm stuck without a raiding guild, and pretty much forced to pvp because i can't find a guild with the same or a similar raiding schedule, i can't really blame blizzard for this because there a company and they do what is best for the majority of consumers they get. but i can complain about the easy content and how they assume everyone will like there "hard mode" type of challenge and i think its complete bull&*!@(its just the same fight just pull the adds to make it harder) hence why i think this game is turning into something else. anyway besides my rant this was a nice read.
One of the few things I QQ about is on my pvp server (I am horde) I seem to run into the biggest ally a-holes all the time. They are either 10+ lvls higher than my guy and jump me when I am not looking or I will see a ally around my level, I wave to be nice to him and go on my way fighting mobs, then the next thing I know the jerk jumps me and sometimes with a friend I mean seriously wtf.... I understand its a pvp server but these people go too far...
This is completely aside from just about everything that the blog spoke to, and all subsequent posters have replied, but something that I think some of you may find as interesting none-the-less (and most certainly related).
The endless plague of "nerf <class>" complaints coming from butthurt PvP realmers who got ganked and yell that a class is overpowererd because someone six levels up on them killed them.Oh yes, and of course the nerf paladin complainers. It just annoys me to no end that these wastes of DNA are getting into such a frenzy because one class got the one buff they needed and are now getting scorned for it.
I hate how people seem to complain only about the classes I play. I've been a Rogue for 4 years since it fits my playstyle. Then I made a DK out of curiosity, and god does the QQ ever end? Seriously people have been whining since wrath release, get on with your damn lives it's a damn game. The funny thing is that I couldn't care less, but still I'm forced to care because the QQ is everywhere, it's impossible to ignore. I might tell myself every time I hear a "DK so OP CRYCRYCRY" QQ that I should ignore it, but since this happens every second of every minute every minute of every hour every day of every month, it just becomes annoying, because unless you're totally oblivious you will notice it, ignoring it will be ignorance (which I hate most of anything). I can compare it to a baby nagging and nagging, imagine he never stops nagging, you can try to ignore it but it will annoy you. To but it bluntly: QQ ruins my gaming experience. The crappy community of WoW ruins the game. Do you really feel like logging into a game where you're surrounded by a environment that will impact you just like an environment in life impacts you, when it impacts you negatively? Just the thought of the QQers, nerf/buff cryers, DK haters, Rogue haters, beggars, gold farmers, kids, know-it-alls, arrogant arena "pros", makes me want to logg right out. Even if I can avoid all of these to an extent, I know that the community in the game I'm playing, is there and it's so full of crap. I play MMOs to have a nice immerse experience, to relax and let go of my worries for a while, in a fantasy game. Fantasy game, so much for that. Can't deal with DKs or Rogues? Why don't you either roll one yourself, so that you can be OP too, or maybe learn how the class works before crying. OR quit the game, save yourself and others from your QQ, because things will continue on like this, and if some classes, nerfs or buffs make you that upset, it's time to take a trip to real life.
When something changes, many people get upset, even if that change really doesn't affect them. It's human nature. We're creatures of habit, even in our recreation. And I think you've identified the qq problem exactly. People don't complain about things they don't care about. They complain in the hopes of getting a sympathetic ear about their problem. That's why there are complaints on Wowhead about issues that could only be corrected by Blizzard. The qq's don't expect that Blizzard will change the game solely to placate them; they just want to find other people who are upset as they are. "Misery loves company."And there is the hope that enough people speak up about something, maybe those in charge will change their minds. And most of us having healthy (or overly-healthy) egos, all of OUR complaints are completely valid and legitimate greivances. It's the OTHER people who are 'qq' ing about something inconsequential.
