True, i hate PvPing with rouges :/
Great post! Very true.
Playing a Death Knight always causes no end to my amusement. Even if i don't PvP. :D
Very true mate,I have the exact feeling when I hear complaints regarding DK's from players that usually PvE more or have a low rating in arenas. They are, at the moment the most overpowered class and it will remain so because Blizzards made them a "Hero" class. Players that are constantly beaten in PvP encounters by DK's don't want to improve their gameplay being satisfied with their current performance. I have always played the game with underpowered classes that have been nerfed or simply ignored when it comes to PvP buffs and I am a person that really likes facing a class with better odds, even though I lose many times.Very good post.
Deathknights aren't overpowered?know, I am no pro, but I always get owned by others. Either I am doing something hugely wrong, or you peeps are over-exaggerating.Truth be told, I find Mages and Rogues the overpowered classes. Rogues because of the stun and high burst, and Mages because of the hundreds of high critical bursts in a short time.
I totally aggree with your post. This should encourage people into PvP.:P
There is a concept in competitive Super Smash Bros. Melee relative to this, and it is called "No johns".It's a fancy name for "no excuses", and the doctrine of the thought is that no matter what, you got beat, and you're going to have to face the music. Either you can shrug it off and say, what went right? or you can whine and complain about how unfair life is. The first leads to self-betterment. The second, leads to people telling you you need to l2p.
I'd like to compare this to my experiences playing SuperSmash Bros with my little brother. I love Kirby and always play him. Every time I'd play my brother and he'd pick a new character, he'd usually beat me a handful of times at first. With each loss I took notice of each characters abilities and his moves relative to mine. After a while I'd start countering many of his moves and would start winning. WoW PvP plays into this a lot, every class has tools/abilities that while always situational allow you to counter other classes. As an enhancement shaman a lot comes down to my totems. Against a DK I need Disease Cleansing Totem. Mages and ret pallies Grounding Totem is my best friend. Warlocks and chain fears? Tremor Totem can make or break you. To PvP well, you need the gear, but you also need A LOT of practice to learn class abilities, how to counter them, and typical class rotations (ret pally/rogue openers anyone?).
I'm very frustrated by Death Knights due to playing a warrior as Arms or Fury. They are simply better in a lot of cases and make me look like a complete noob if facing one in 1v1. I've started making progress in arena against them but my god, I understand why a lot of classes simply feel inferior to death knights when beat by them. They have new shiny mechanics that doesn't seem to have many pitfalls or clear disadvantages.
Short of further increasing my stealth detection, or constantly AoEing the area around me there is little to do when it's me vs a rogue.Of course I can escape (well, once every 4 minutes anyway -.-)
Aww man, can't I offend anyone?=P
bleh.. pet peeve alert.. adage changes for pop culture reasons.Must contain urge to post origin of NO free lunch.... Ok.. I'm done.Carry on.
I'm a Shaman for life, and my mantra is, "Theres an excuse for everything, The only one you never hear is, 'I suck'."If i can kill a Retra Pally as Enhance, so can you, just learn what to blow your trinkets on, How to use team work, and enjoy the *GAME*After all, WoW =! real life.
