Thou didst forget where the scythe of Elune was seen most recently. In <removed> by . . . He summoned (albeit unwittingly) a host of worgen upon himself and his comrades... makes you wonder how the scythe traveled there doesn't it?EDIT: Sorry, friend. You're correct, but don't go too in-depth just yet, =p —Arideni
nice read. ty :)
Moar please :DThanks.
Can we say "cure found" and Worgen open up to an Alliance race in a future xpac?
Can we say "cure found" and Worgen open up to an Alliance race in a future xpac?that begs the question what would the Horde counterpart be?I'm Horde through-and-through, but if the Worgen became playable I'd like to see some of it. maybe if they became playable by either faction...?
Don´t forget that the <removed> turning out to be worgen want you to get them something beginning with <removed>.EDIT: I didn't forget, and you're absolutely correct. That's to come later this week, <3 —Arideni
I still keep up hope that the worgen will indeed become a new playable race. I see them starting in Gilneas, as perhaps the worgen curse got through the greymane wall somehow. They could be alliance because they're fundamentally human, or the alliance won't trust them and they'll be forced to join the horde. There's so many options for another playable race for the other side. The surviving nerubians could join with either side to help reclaim and rebuild their kingdom. The ogres could officially join the Horde. One side or the other could bribe the goblins to choose a side. Might I even suggest Pandaren?
I did this quest 4 years ago.The Alliance quest ends in Duskwood and does not end properly.Just like the Shady Rest Inn...And the Dark Riders <removed>...And Ravenholdt...Among other things. =POh and by the way, Wolvar > Worgen, if only because i love how the Wolvar look. Bulky, not as lean/mangy looking.
Oh and by the way, Wolvar > Worgen, if only because i love how the Wolvar look. Bulky, not as lean/mangy looking.agreed, but both > Gorlocs.
A good read, it was interesting to learn more about the horde side of lore.I'm curious though, what about Grizzly Hills?
Thanks for posting everyone. The next entry will expand a bit on the various things which have occurred around the worgen. This includes almost all of the ideas mentioned by users, so watch out for it later this week!
If they are fightin in their home dimension, maybe they werent being summoned by the scythle at all. Maybe they were actually running away. The worgens helped Velinde, so they should not be an evil race. They could be thankin Velinde for opennin the rift and so freein the Worgens of their war. The SFK ones are kinda vicious, but come on... as the near village people (lol), they are cursed by Arugal. Every race can become that if slaved and/or cursed. We got some tough ones in Duskwood, right? But then again, the whole area is under Karazhan effect, so kinda cursed too.The only "untouched" ones are the Velinde worgens, and as it, they're not evil.
=D excellent read! Always sort of fancied these creatures.
I would love to see the Worgen as a WOW race =)
Yay! Im glad my worgen post caught some attention. I hope blizz really starts looking to develop the NPC lore more and more with future content patches.
I'm sure Blizzard will indeed continue to build upon stories such as this. After all, using the content they already have there is more than enough to make another expansion as vast and creative as WOTLK has been and will continue to be after the upcoming patches.
I'm enjoying these lore bits you've posted and I give my full support to make more. I'm a huge lore fan so reading all of this adds to my knowledge of WoW lore and makes me love it all the more. Please, continue on with this or make more like for the Merlocks or maybe even talk about the lore on the old gods, the wild gods, with so much lore you could be going at it for years.I'm sure Blizzard will indeed continue to build upon stories such as this. After all, using the content they already have there is more than enough to make another expansion as vast and creative as WOTLK has been and will continue to be after the upcoming patches.I predict the next expansion will be about the Emerald Dream and Nightmare, they've already built more on that with this expansion, should be interesting to see how if at all the heroes (players) can help out the green flight....and if we'll have to kill another dragon aspect gone mad. There's also the question of where Deathwing is. He's the kind of character that I could watch die with my own eyes, hear blizzard say he's dead, and still expect him to come back. He's been 'killed' twice before, he can escape death again. Not to mention all the theories about where the Infanate dragonflight is from and the possibility that they're under the orders of the Bronze Aspect.
Possibly Medivh has something to do with them? Seeing as how back in Karazhan a book called, Torment of the Worgen, transformed those who used it into a worgen as a proc. The singed paper also said something, but I can't remember for sure, but it sounded like whoever was writing it was going crazy.***Edit***"I did this. I don't remember doing it, but it cannot be otherwise."I have committed sins in my life before. I even killed a man once who didn't deserve it. But this is different."I am changed."These murders were not my choice. A beast lives inside me."I will be hunted and shunned. I need to hide. Run. Bury the bodies."I start to walk outside when I realize what truly bothers me."I feel no guilt."
LOL...that was great.
I love worgens i remember my first ud. and sfk thats the coolest dungeon evah!
