The worst thing about IE is that it's linked to the OS, therfore, your IE gets f**ed up, so does your OS. I use FF, no add-ons.
I used to use IE and still have it on my computer, but now I use Google Chrome.
Lack of exploits doesn't make a browser more secure, you may be more secure, not the browser. A lot people just repeating old IE rhetoric.
Firefox FTW!I'm glad my cousins and dad persuaded me to move to Firefox. Love it :D Never going back!
Thanks Malygayne, I just updated. For all those wondering why I don't use firefox, lets just say that I had a bad experience with a trojan that crashed my cousin's computer.
use firefox instead of IE, mac os instead of windows, ignore this blog post :D
I've used IE since my very first computer with internet access. Never had any problems or inconveniences with it, so why would I ever switch?Oh well, I've got some decent anti-whatever protection going on on my computer right now, so I think I'm safe, as least to assume, that my problems are gone.Though I did have a scare when I logged off after playing all day.. Anyone know if it's possible for a keylogger to change your password and Blizzard not contact you about the password change? Luckily, I caught this odd glitch/bug/hack or whatever.. And proceeded to update and then scan the crap out of my computer.
Its kind of funny that people assume firefox is more secure just because of things like this. Does it ever occur to you that IE is targeted more by the people who find exploits and scrutinised more by the security community in general because its the most widely used browser in the world? As was said in a previous post, on-line security is 90% about you not your browser, if you spend half you life browsing porn, searching for hacks and trawling torrent sites, you get what you ask for imo.All things like noscript do is reduce your online experience.
No IE Flames, then just FireFox RULES.I don't remember myself using the IE for the last few years already.
I use FF cause I got into Linux and other alternative stuff, and I wanted to have something new. I enjoyed the "tab" program, wich back in the day was awesome. Now IE ripped it off. GG Microsoft. The only credit I give to Microsft is gaming, If it wasn't for them, I would spend a bunch of time dealing with emulators and layers for getting WoW into linux.
Linux and Firefox FTW.But in any case, thanks for the heads-up!
