One of the most epic loot i got was from the Scourge invasion right before WotLK came out, me and my friends, we were killing the undead and when i looted one of the undead i got a haunted necklace, then i found out that it came with a pet, a ghost that follows me around. Now the necklace is impossible to get, unless you pay someone for it, since it isn't soulbound.
A realy epic drop for me was the Brewfest Kodo.I wanted to get the Ram too but I kept loosing the rolls :/
I know this was pre Burning Crusade but the Spirit of Eskandar (http://www.wowhead.com/?itemset=261#comments) WITH the Eskhandar Pelt (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=18204) when it was included with the set.
Well, a few months ago I spent 9 hours farming for a Tiny Crimson Whelping in the wetlands. I spend many hours just listen to music, talking over chat, etc. Then, at long last, I got it! I cheered over chat! I yelled in guild! I told everyone in general chat of the wetlands! I was so happy! That, by far, was the most epic thing i have every looted.
The most epic loot I'd ever gotten would definitely have to be my Swift Brewfest Ram.I worked every day like clockwork during the first year of Brewfest earning and saving tickets as best I could. It was so close to the end of the event when I finally had enough tickets and purchased mine. I quickly dubbed him Spanky, in honor of the quests that granted me him. I have never ridden another ground mount since.Even now that they seem to be significantly more common, it doesn't matter to me. Spanky was the first special thing I ever earned in game and he will forever mean that much to me.
Oh that's easy: Serpent-coiled Braid. As a crit fire mage at the time and now a frostfire bolt mage, this trinket is still useful for me at 80 in most situations.
My most "epic" loot was in the old days haha. I had finally leveled my first character to level 40 and made the great run to go get my mount. Then of course realizing that the Carrot on a Stick was available so starting the epic adventure to achieve that and weeks later finally having it drop and completing the quest for it.
My most epic item ever was Golden Bow of Quel'Thalas. It's so epic, I never used it on the Eredar Twins, because our tanks were never able to keep up with the threat.
My most EPIC fight was with my friend Ash, who recently started playing with me. We were fighing a small group of mobs when suddenly we got hit by respawns from someone elses fight. We were staring death straight in the face! Well all seems lost our friend Caro appears out of no where and shoots one down, stuns another and we survived. Was freaking crazy @_@
When i got my 9 haunted memento's, symbolizing my 9 epics i got from the scourge invasion event
One of the most epic drops I got was the Assassin's Dagger from Shadowfang Keep. I farmed it after countless runs on my main warrior, and used it as the centerpiece for my twink rogue back when the bg's were most fun, before cross-realm battlegrounds. Good old fashioned dirty fighting was the way the wars were won back then, too bad that's a shadowy and distant past of what pvp used to be...
Apparently my Azure Whelpling wasn't epic enough to win me the loot card ;)Another epic moment for me was encountering the rare green drake, Jade, on my second or third trip into Sunken Temple. I have a thing for hunting rare NPCs, but I hadn't even heard of this one when I happened by him. Because players entering the temple inevitably cross his spawn point, this dragon is very hard to find. In all my subsequent journeys into the Sunken Temple, I have never seen him again. I would probably still be searching for him today had it not been for that chance encounter.
farm 5k gold as holy priest an year ago
My "epic" loot drop/moment/whatever would have to be the first time I did Karazhan with my guild. I started playing WoW late, and my mage was only 58 when Burning Crusade released, so I never did old-world raids. After reaching 70 and getting into the raid scene with my friends, the Harbinger Bands dropped one night and I won the roll. This being the first "omg purplz" I had ever received, it was more than a little exciting (we were all there at one point). I doubt I'll ever forget that, as it was my first taste of the "top gear" content in WoW, though the experience with my friends will always remain more important than loot. And that's my epic moment.
My most epic drop: http://www.wowhead.com/?item=17073after spending months and months on my ret pally pre-bc farming fire resist gear (if I never have to see general drakk again it'll be too soon!) I finally got into MC and picked up this baby off the first boss. I loved it immediately and found that the proc was a godsend in pvp, free interrupts and stuns abound! It definately made me play my pally into BC (although I ended up being a healbot pre-ret buff and never went back). Although I no longer play my pally i'll never forget the adrenaline rushing through me when it dropped and everybody in vent burst out laughing and congratulating me at once. talk about hurting the ears!
My most epic drop was most definitely at level 32 on my first toon ever while grinding away on gorillas in the Southern Strangle Thorn Vale I was using auto loot and suddenly the general gray and white loot was shadowed by a purple! Totally unexpected... Bow of Searing Arrows, random world drop was now in my possession. I just sat in total shock for about a minute and was like "dang that was unexpected"
