An epic battle that I can remember is fighting Panthaleon the Calculator on Heroic Mechanar. We're burning the boss down and he does his mind control move. Mind control the mage which nukes the healer. No heals means the tank is going down pretty soon, which he does. Since the mage is fire boss comes running and smacks the mage down. Me and another rogue are left. He pops evasion while we try to burn him down (with the 3 extra mobs on us). Rogue dies and I'm left. I Pop evasion and finish the boss off with around 100 hp left. I won? I won, wow. Couldn't believe it.
My most epic loot was when I had just did wintergrasp in order to farm fire eternals only to find a paladin was hogging all of the kills. Then a hordy came along and attacked him. When he asked me to help him I vanished and watched him die. I quickly took away what was left of the hordies life and went along farming my eternal fires undisturbed.
After months of farming and countless gold spent on matts, I finally finished my Primal Mooncloth set. This was an epic occasion.
When I got one of the biggest lore items, The Corrupted Ashbringer :D My most favorite item in the game ever! And I really hope Blizzard will allow a quest for people who wield one.
The Setup:Back in the day, when my guild first started farming MC, I had been saving up all that DKP to get my very first EPIC weapon; Obsidian Edged Blade. We were doing Baron with about 35 people, and rolling realm restarts just so happenned to be coming. The battle lasted until everyone's dying breath. With 15 seconds left on the clock, and Baron's miserable life coming to an end, I rush over to the body to see what would dropped. THERE IT WAS ROHNOES! But before we knew it we were all kicked off and there was no PURPELZ in my sight as far as I knew it... I decided to take the week off seeing as the sword was within fingers reach but realm restart took it away. As I log back to check check if some auctions sold, I check my bags for any extra cloth and... Holy Mother of Arthas! MasterLoot must have been sent through 1 or 2 seconds before the restart and latency must have been just a stream of WTF ness! From then on, I built on my warrior to end up being my realm's first Horde with Corrupted Ashbringer, but that was a wee-bit before TBC released so it wasnt all thaaaat important but anyways. Talk about epic!
I'm in a guild where I was the only hunter for the longest time. So I really enjoy when on our first kills of most end-game bosses, I get all the ranged weapons.Hunter loot!
My first is my BG gloves the dreadweave ones. I was so happy to have all my old guild mates say "thats great they will be no good when the expac hits".... LOL
'Twas on my very first character, a human mage. Ashwood, I called him. Ashwood was a great adventurer, who saved Elywnn Forest from the raging Defias bandits, who stopped a potential feud between the Stonefields and Maclures. Ashwood even braved the ever-dreaded Hogger, along with an up-and-coming priest, and a savage warrior at his side. After re-sewing the fabrics of order within Elywynn Forest, he was sent into the nearby land called Westfall. It was there that he met a kind local lady. This lady promised to give him some copper pieces and some of her world-renowned Goretusk Liver Pie. All little Ashwood had to do was gather the food."Hmph!" said Ashwood braggingly, "A few pigs? That's nothing!" With a smug smile on his face, he left the house, unknowing of what was to come. He saw a Goretusk right outside the house. "This'll be EASY!" He chuckled. After sending a barrage of fireballs into the Goretusk, he searched it for a liver, "Odd... no liver... Hmm, I guess he's just a mutant one." He sent another fireball into a nearby pig. Once more, no liver. He concluded they had been twins, since they both looked exactly alike. He killed another; and not a liver came from it. He kept on killing these creatures day and night; nonstop, wearied, and wasting nearly an entire SILVER on water and food to keep himself alive. After killing over 65,345,285 boars for 30 experience points a piece, Ashwood was weak, and weary. He continued to tell himself; "Just... one... more..." and one more escalated into thousands. After deliriously pulling not only a goretusk, but also a coyote, he fell to the ground, and with his last breath, he shot a frostbolt at the wolf. He, yet again, reached into the hog. However, this time, something was different. Was it...? No... It couldn't be, a LIVER! Young Ashwood was in awe! This was a once in a lifetime opportunity! After throwing 20 splintered Boar Tusks out of his Backpack, he gently placed down the liver. He had a wide smile on his face, until be saw "Goretusk Liver: 1/8"
The day i got Wrathfire Hand-Cannon this was awesome cuz my last one was horrible http://www.wowhead.com/?item=27898could not figure out how to link it hehe
The loot I was most excited about getting was the Band of Icy Depths (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=21526) from the AQ scepter questline. I had that quest in my log for years before I finally completed it!
I went to the very first Blizzcon and when I used the blue murloc egg to summon my baby murloc, I shed a single tear of joy, he's still my favorite and most epic loot :)
Definetly when I completed the Shartuul (sp?) encounter for the ogrilla faction. I had been working on the encounter for weeks, and farming for a badge of tenacity at the same time (like every other tank druid). When I finally completed the encounter, what did I get as a drop? The depleted badge, for the badge of tenacity... as a tanking druid at heart I had never been happier. Honestly I did not think it was possible to be THAT happy about a video game lol.
