I got a Duplicitous Guise on our Server First kill of KJ. 100th US kill I think it was.
Jumping around Orgrimmar waiting for my BG to quque I saw Gamon kneeling in his same old spot, so I figure I'll kill him for old time sake. The BG still didn't quque so I decided to humor blizz and loot him I get 3 copper...and wait whats this? OMG! Rigid Leggings of the Monkey! These pants were quickly put on the auction house and sold to a 19 twink for 300g. Probally the most EPIC thing Gamon has ever done.
After weeks and weeks of farming the world dragon's for drops I was feeling exhausted. I had been waiting for Staff of Rampant Growth to drop. Unlucky me I guess, it never dropped. I eventually just got along with Jin'do's Hexxer. Having cleared all content this week in WotLK my guild and I was looking for some old content to clear, we blazed through Molten Core, Blackwing Lair, and were on the way to Zul'gurub when Emeriss shouted and we took a detour. Needless to say, the staff dropped and I took it in great excitement, and a little bit of teasing from a few older members. Sadly, my druid which I wanted it on is long gone, however the staff with forever remain a testament to the great moments in the raids with him...on my rogue =].
ok so yeah i am still thinking that my fav epic ever always will be The Horseman's Reinsit was my first seasonal boss fight and i had barely broken my bank paying for my epic flight training and did not have enough to buy the actual mount to fly! so i was off to get a broomstick mount to get me by (for 14 days) !so there we are second round of headless boss, broomstick in the bag and Bam there it is in big purple letters "The Horseman's Reins" calling to me i cast my need roll .......theres a pause after i roll 3rd with a 99 .......17 ........33, Nciteful receives "The Horseman's Reins"....... Victory I Won so im off to Brill to pumpkin head people atop my mount YAY ME!
My biggest loot is Blade of Misfortune. Looted while I was leveling my BE DK.
Brutal Gladiator gloves, made me feel important and not so sucky in my ring of over-confident friends(who i am better than anyway :P)
My most epic <strike>loot</strike> LOLs would probably have to be when my enhance shaman got looted our first warglaive instead of our combat rogue. I tried to equip it, I really tried.
My most epic drop doesn't matter cause no matter what I put here I will be entered into the contest and I have about a 1 in 5000 chance of winning anyway. Good luck.
The most epic loot i have ever gotten was the owned card that this really awesome website gave me one time for a really awesome blog reply. I kid. The most epic loot i have ever gotten was most likely from the lovely Illidan Stormrage. I waited for about 15 kills and finally my shield drops and it goes to our main tank. Whatever that's cool he's the main tank right? But then again i have been progressing through Black Temple with Nightbane's shield since Gruul hates me as much as Illidan does when it comes to shield drops. About five kills later he dropps his bulwark again, and it gets looted immediately to a BRAND NEW prot pally who we decided to gear out for when sunwell might come out. 7 kills later he drops his shield again i get it enchanted and all pretty and stare at it for about twenty minutes or so and log off. The next day i logged on to a naked character and a hacked account. Awesome. I still carry that shield around in my bags even though i upgraded it since WOTLK and i still equip it when im chillin around main cities.
One of the most epic drops i have ever gotten was Sunfury Bow of the Phoenix after downing prince for the 85th time it finaly droped. Man what a great day.
Finally I was tapped, I joined the group and was ported to the depths of Blackrock. The air was alive with the tension of the fight before us. The anxiety of victory. The stench of whelps. The plan was laid out... dash in, bubble, and bring them back so I and the others could kill without pause..The mission was simple... we had to live.. they must die. With a start off the pally's ran, their bubbles chiming in unison. A wave of flapping wings surrounded them each as they headed back where the rest of us laid in wait. The air filled with whelps, so many I could barely see what I was targetting. My seed of corruption was away... the mass of wings and teeth now slowing me down, interrupting my casting... finally... just barely the second is sent to it's destination. I muster my wits and focus... the beating causing me to hesitate more and more... a shadow bolt released and hit it's mark... the seed exploding. I was overwhelmed, the whelps battered my last bit of life. As my body slumped and neared it's cold place on the floor... a second eruption of the seed... the whelps simultaneously danced deaths last tango... and they followed my body to the floor...And I was officially Blaztit Jenkins
I still have Benediction. Getting that was a truly epic moment.
Probably my favorite epic was farming for baron's mount. I worked so long for it and then the new patch just makes it 1/100. I was kinda mad but it didn't take me too long after that ;)
Way back when my main was level 48 he won the roll for Dragon's Call off the Shade of Eranikus in Sunken Temple. Of course I couldn't wield it until level 52!Used that sword all the way to 60. Aah memories :)
One of the most epic loots I have gotten is the tabard off the pre BC event. Not only was that a cool event near the Dark portal that set the mood for BC, you got a neat tabard out of it that showed you were there =D
I killed a level 80 rogue this morning on my 71 blood DK it was so funny. I was half hp after taking a boss mob and he flys down on his nether drake stealths in midair and CS's me on his way down. So offcourse im gettin hit pretty hard at about 18% HP so i pop icebound fort vamp blood and runetap back up to 50% hp. Then throw mark of blood on him and watch as my hp rises up to 80% by now the rogue is about to 50% so i hop into frost presence and fight him down to 20% hp using runetap as much as possible. He blinded me when he hit 15% so I blew every man for himself and deathgripped him as he tryed to run after he sprinted i used chains of ice and it was all over. Silly rogues.
Patch 2.4 had been released for a good week, and I was eager to do my first Heroic MgT. This was on my then affliction Warlock, and I was so excited about getting the Sindorei Robes. Only issue was that my group, except for the healer, pretty much failed like the Bay of Pigs. We were wiping on trash and don't even get me started on the 5v5 boss. Eventually we somehow made it to Kael'thas' room, and we knew a wipe was coming. The tank pulled and the battle had begun. The rogue in the group was oblivious to the Phoenix's AoE, so he crash and burned. We got Kael'thas down to 58%, and Kael'thas did his "OMG Imma chargin my Pyroblast"" thing, and our tank might as well been at ground zero of hiroshima during World War II. He died and it was up to me, a holy pally, and mage. The healer kept us up as best he could, but died from healing aggro, but we managed to get him into anti gravity phase. The mage and I levitated, and the mage somehow thought the bubbles wanted a hug, and then fell to his death. I was left alone, and you guys, it was the most epic battle I have ever fought. I had all my DoTs on him, and was drain tanking like a fiend. Drain Life was my healer, and oh did it do me well. I kept this up until finally, shadow trance proc'd, and Kael'thas died. My group gave me the epic "...", and I proceeded to loot. Guys, my robes did not only drop, but the baby phoenix was there. I rolled need on both, and guys, that bird remains with me to this day. That bird is the epic loot because it represents my most epic win ever!
I'd have to say the Bulwark from Illidan is the most epic item I've ever picked up, it's a really cool looking shield!
i would have to say one of my most epic moments was when i misclicked in stealth and hit pickpocket, and i got a reinforced lockbox. So after i had killed the mob, i thought i might as well open it. Then 3 fails later i finally opened the dang thing. And wouldn't you know it, inside was the . Was pretty happy when it dropped. I ended up putting it in the guild bank for someone who could really get a use out of it.
Barb of the Sand Reaver!I was the only hunter in my guild to get it, and I never replaced that weapon. I waited SO long to get it, too!
