Less than a week after the azure whelpling was released, I wanted went to farm one for a friend of mine. I got it on the 11th kill - I believe the first one on the entire server. I got a lot of decent offers for it, but like I said, it was intended to be a gift. Unfortunately, that friend was on a long trip and was out of town for like 3 weeks, so by the time he got back and I gave it to him, he wasn't the first to have one out.He liked it though!A close second is farming for an emerald whelpling for another friend's birthday. Took me 1129 kills of dreaming whelps and something like 1100 adolescent whelp kills for it to drop. It was worth it! Met a lot of awesome people (alliance and horde) farmers on the way.Hope I win!
Mine would be my epic warlock mount pre-bc. AH those were the days! Still have the video of myself obtaining the mount as well. Cheap production but it was something else back then. One of the first few locks at that to get it :)
My most epic drop, like ryoohkieevee above, was also http://www.wowhead.com/?item=870. It was my first epic ever. I think it may actually be my only world drop epic too. I think I was in Swamp of Sorrows. I sold it on the AH and used the proceeds to buy my first mount.
It sounds really lame, even after saying I got Lok'delar and Rhok'delar back when I played hunter, but my favourite item is my Worg Puppy. I was always a bit of a pet-geek and it's been my favourite for years. Unfortunately, just before TBC I got maliciously hacked and the person, knowing my pathetic love for the puppy, deleted him. Blizz couldn't restore him for some reason, all was lost :(I re-rolled priest for TBC nd nobody did LBRS anymore so I never redid the quest. However, just before WotLK I ventured alone into LBRS to rescue me a new worg. Sad? Yes. Pathetic? A little. I don't care though, got my puppy back :)
It would have to be the Demise from Heigan the Unclean(10-man). Why? Because it was our guild's third attempt and most of us were still bad with his dance, so during the second phase we lost half of our group from the eruptions, all that remained was our tank, our paladin offtank, a priest, our marksman hunter and me the fury warrior. Heigan was only at around 50% at this time and our raid leader was about to call a whipe, but our tank told him to 'hold on.' Lo and behold, we were able to maneuver perfectly as we drained him slowly down. Our hunter blew over 1000 arrows in the end, and I fell at 14% of his HP remaining, but through sheer stubbornness and much cheering on vent, we withered him down to a corpse and I got my Demise. That was a good night.
I got given a batskull in the mail with a love letter.It was great.
