Before expansion, questing in STV netted me a mid 40's BoE epic shield. My paladin equipped it, even though my guildmates told me to sell it.
I would have to say the staff from ZA. Got asked to tank just him and it dropped. Timing is everything.
Easily the OEB! My 1st raiding epic on my warrior back in the day. Thing rocked for quite a while. And oh yeah, I was that DPS warrior that constantly pulled aggro, then actually read Heroic Strike, OOPS! My bad :)
most epic loot i got was my first http://www.wowhead.com/?item=21563 back when it cost money
Umm.. I was out farming the water elementals out at elemental plateau in Nagrand when i got jumped by two allies. When I finally came back to loot the corpse Lola's Eve had dropped for me. I was glad I got that sucker down before they pounced me = )
I would have to say my most epic loot adventure was back in vanilla wow days. My guild was always struggling to clear Molten Core and all I ever wanted from it was an epic weapon called the Spinal Reaper! (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=17104)I wanted it so bad I even specced PROTECTION! I know, shocking!I would have to say after 2 months of trials, ranging from people leaving the guild, wiping to trash mobs, and ninja looters. We finally made it to Ragnaros. Though just my luck my brother came along with us for the first time ever and the first thing he saw/did when he saw Ragnaros was say, "Oh, a new quest for me!"Needless to say he started the event while all 40 people were trying to prep up and things even looked worse off than it was to start with. Though with quick action and the best off-tank you could ever have (Me), we downed Ragnaros and my Spinal Reaper dropped. It was hilarious cause I had to DKP bomb it. I think I had like 150 points.Though after that all, I repecced to my favored spec arms, and proceeded to wreck up people in pvp.
the most epic.... was when i was doing Sunwell for the first time on my druid two weeks before WOLK and on the first boss i won my first T6 with a roll of 100! and the 2nd t6 token went to another druid that rolled 99! The whole run consisted of epic rolls in the 90s up to the 3rd boss.Another "epic" is the Gurubashi Arena trinket, my 19 rogue twink camped that chest for weeks and solo'd most of the chest with my ninja skills while others fought lol!
The most epic thing I've ever gotten was my Stormherald and Deep Thunder, which were used in a combo with Titan's grip.
When our guild attempted Ragnaros for the like the 20th time, got him down to 2% when the adds came, our mages were oom and couldn't nova, they tried to to Evocate under the pressure >.<.Tanks were out of place, and when Ragnaros emerged, it was surely a wipe. But no, a shaman got *!@#y, anhk'd Frost Shocked and /gg Ragnaros is dead.39 dead. 1 Alive. Ragnaros dead.
Getting my Plagueheart Ring off of Kel'Thuzad in Naxxaramas 40.
On the third day after the WotLK launch, I was watching an old season of Family Guy and watched the episode where Peter gets his tv spotlight "Grinds my Gears." I got bored of watching the episode again, so I came in to play some WoW. I went to Borean Tundra and killed a few Harvest Watchers, and got a Ground Gear.Even though it's junk, I still haven't gotten rid of it.
Another "epic" drop except on a former rogue twink. I had been trying to solo revelosh for the shoulders for about a day and failed. Then with no guildies able to help me try to run it I found myself in the LFG channel. After flying to the badlands and waiting for 20 minutes my group arrives after finding out that they have never ran uldaman before. Cutting short to the instance with much insistance on their part we go for the vikings. After wiping twice on that I say drop it last run. On the last run somehow ended up aggroing about all the adds possible attack Revelosh. Predictably i vanish and see what i can do only to have my stealth break. So I blew my cooldowns and somehow most the adds die. At about 5% health revelosh falls on almost solo with about 25% durability. And finally the shoulders dropped providing me with an epic run of many laughs.
I think my most epic battle was with a warrior 2 weeks ago. I was flying on my epic mount and spotted a level 80 warrior, i didn't think he was prot so damn, he stunned me so many times. The decked out tank brought me down to 2,000 hp and i manage to throw a cyclone on him. I decided not to heal and casted starfire and BAM! A 10000 CRIT POPS AND DOWN HE GOES :]trying to get 11000+ crit soon xD
Grinding in Western Plaugelands as a warlock and had just gotten my felguard and was so psyched out by how awesome this massive annoying creature was. I was a total noob at the time and was just grinding with auto-loot on. My only-god-knows-what-kill it was, I auto-looted to 4 items. I noticed that one of the items was purple and my eyes instantly widened to a ridiculous radius, my pupils were dilated and I felt like I was going to have a stroke. I looked in my bag and saw Bloodrazor sitting in my inventory. I whispered my friend and was hopping around like an Easter bunny on cocaine.
The ancient bone bow from scholo. I don't even know how many times i ran scholo, it just didn't want to drop for me. Ahh the good 'ol days!
Well once upon a time. I rolled a mage and throughout raiding ventured into the god awful mistake of an instance Naxxramas. (40 Man) this followed my continually clearing of BWL in which case even after 40000 runs still never happened to get a piece of loot from either. Finally i gave up followed by the next day of my guild basically getting every piece of mage loot there was. Then some day after that BC came out in which i rolled a warrior and got epix loots and cleared BT and could pew pew everything. the end!
My most epic drop was the first epic drop I'd ever gotten. It was my first character and I was trying to finish up the hinterlands zone. I was in the process of killing slimes for a quest, and I randomly see a purple item pop up, Robes of Insight. To be honest, I didn't even know what that meant, but I nearly soiled myself. Tried to sell it way overpriced on the AH and everything. Epic.
This isnt a drop its a battle.Me and some of my friends were doin normal seth halls we had battled all the way through we were on last boss (i was a pally healer) all the dps died and he was at about 75% health left. The tank managed to hold him when i jumped behind pillars for arcane nova.He used the whole time 1 hp pot shield wall and other warrior cooldowns.I hadnt speccd well so i didnt have 50% mana cut down so he was at 60% and i was oom.I used lay on hands on him drank a mana pot and managed to just heal him when he needed it on very low many with flash of lights.Probably my greatest accomplishment ever was when we finally killed him it took about 10 minutes after dps died so about 12 minutes total.IT WAS EPIC.
I love to collect rare pets and mounts, I farmed the heck out of Strat for my Deathcharger's Reins. This September however I was lucky enough to get into the WOTLK Beta.I was browsing Wowhead looking at the various new mounts and pets that were available, and noticed the new White Polar Bear mount that was a rare drop from the Brunnhildar village dailies in the Storm Peaks. I decided to try and get this mount. After about I'd say 4-5 tries, I got the Reins of The White Polar Bear! I was so excited, it felt like the Deathcharger's Reins had dropped for me all over again. Polar bears are one of my favorite animals, so I absolutely loved my new White Polar Bear Mount.Of course Beta eventually ended, and although I was secretly hoping maybe Blizzard thought all us Beta players did such a super awesome job testing that maybe just *maybe* they'd let us keep our characters on live XD. Can't blame a gnome for hoping, right? =PI told all my friends and guildies about my White Polar Bear mount on Beta, and told them to make sure to do the Brunnhildar Village dailies everyday. A little while after release, I finally dinged 77, high enough to do the Brunnhildar Village dailies.I headed straight to Storm Peaks and started the quest line to unlock the dailies, finally Gretta had "Back to The Pit" available for me. I completed my daily, opened up my spoils bag fully expecting to see more of the yeti cheese I had grown fond of on beta...Reins of The White Polar Bear! On first try on live! I couldn't believe it.... and after looking up the mount again here on Wowhead and seeing it currently has a 1% drop chance, I was absolutely shocked. I am so glad to have my White Polar Bear mount back, it goes great with the Baby Blizzard Bear 4th Anniversary pet. Also I think I will buy a lottery ticket this week LOL.
When i need rolled against another warrior and won the King's Defenders we all roll a 44, i was lucky to be randomly pick to get it
