Awesome! :)Thanks for posting these, I had to pre-order as I was sick :(
Wish I lived near one of those events, my line was pretty lackluster. Still glad to have my copy!
I did not have a line at all ^^Thanks for sharing ;)
That balloon murloc is really cool. :)
Wish I lived near one of those places where they had pretty large crowds. Midnight sales in Istanbul was pretty dumb and I am so frustrated that they have ran out of collector's edition copies very quick :(
The Gamestop in Killeen, TX had about 50 people. I of course was dead last because i was playing wow until 11:30 >< It took me about 1.5hrs waiting to get the game. I was on until 5am, I just couldn't stay up any longer than that lol.edit: the people in my line gave the appearance it was the first public event they had participated in since they started playing wow, haha...
Well I waited outside about 50 min before they opened the door here at Kupolen in BorlÀnge, Sweden. Were around 50 ppl before me in line. When they opened roughly 200 people were waiting, at least what I could hear.Heard lots of stories, people haveing LANs, not going to school or work and all that stuff =)While I stood in that line I realized I was one of maybe 5 ppl that I could see (from over 100+ people near me) that were over 20 years old. I need to grow up, but it can wait a cupple of years =)
I want mad skills to make one of those balloon murlocs >.>
Are those pictures INSIDE the post? Well that's new! :DInteresting pictures, haha at this one. :P Looks like you had fun!
I overheard a guy who was #34-ish in line at Anaheim say that a couple of guys !@#$ed all over the Frozen Throne sculpture, and after some semi-failed attempts at cleaning it up, people still were getting their pictures taken on it.I don't know how true that was. Ew. :s
i was by the sf one but didnt have a car to drive to it since bart doesnt run after midnight or i would of gone. i love going to midnight releases they are sooooo much fun! i've only mostly been to midnight movie releases like for star wars 3 (witch came out on bday) and like 5 others. they are a lot of fun!
So that's where all the collector's editions went..holy crap!I lined up outside the Future Shop closest to me (I love just north of Toronto, Ontario - that's Canada for the uninformed). I thought I was gonna be crazy, but I went at 9PM (when they closed normal hours). Turns out there was one pair of people there who were hanging around since 8 - and another group shortly after us. From there we started getting some others around 10 and on...I think we had about 60-70 total, didn't count.First guy in line got a 100$ gift card; I was second, but he gave me a 20 since we were kinda in the line at the same time..so almost a quarter of my collectors was paid for..sweet!We got the WoW "!" hat with our purchase, and I was out of the store at 12:15...not too shabby. We only had 24 collectors editions in that store though...so..many people got screwed...too bad for them though, shoulda came earlier like me!
Nice lines! Wish I was there to pick up mah collecter's edition.
They didn't even do a midnight release where in Macon, GA. I was pretty bummed about it I had to wait for stores to open up around 9am to get my copy. The sad part about it is that I had my copy paid for about 2 months ago and they said that they were going to do the midnight release
Well i live in Clarksville GA and it was so funny...I went to the GameStop in gainsville and i was like 1/10 there plus they had 30 collecter's edition so i bought 3...then as soon as i got out of the store there was like every geek and nerd in NorthEast GA lined up...So i was realy lucky...Go in to store at 12:00am and leave at 12:05am with 3 collecter's edition so XD
We had a quite nice event here in Stockholm/Sweden at a store called Webhallen. After some issues with getting the line correct (which was like 600-1000 people, my approximations) we started preparing (with coffee and candy!) for the actual opening-event. There was two lines, one for guys who had costumes and one for us ordinary people who just wanted the game asap. Here's a video recorded by the staff, which might give a glimpse on how the event did look like:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Fq2kdGgVTwI think I was out from the store around 12:46am local time, with my brand new collectors edition, signed and in my hand.
