Ooh, new elite tabard and cloak. Very very nice.

Comment by Topetine

the tabards look amazing, i especially like the alliance tabard. the blue just pops

Comment by Galbrei

These are gorgeous! I might actually wear that Horde cloak! The Alliance is beautiful too, very regal!

Comment by DNARolgan

I am all for the Horde, but the Alliance tabard and cloak looks just amazing :D

Comment by AlakeiThancan

DAMN. But am I the only one weirded out by their "round capes" design since pretty much mists of pandaria ? Almost all new capes are round, weird-shaped, or short as a napkin. Why not full fledged capes as there was in vanilla, BC and WOTLK?

Comment by Siscokid

I always felt like they were blankets we draped over our shoulders.

Comment by Arraya

No capes!

Comment by Zygos

I feel like the Horde are kind of getting ripped of with the constant patchwork or barbaric themed gear and accessories. The regal Blood Elves have been a part of the Horde for years and now there's the Nightborne. You can't tell me that all of the Horde would be wearing gear that looks like it was pieced together by Orc kindergartners. I distinctly remember completing a tailoring questline in Suramar to be able to craft some of the finest threads the Nightborne had to offer. And the Blood Elves are no slouches in the fashion department, either.

Comment by JolietJerry

Is there a healer available to sooth the burn marks those Horde garments undoubtedly left on the brave and honorable human?

Comment by Zelardo

Some day, Blizz will finally catch up to 2018 and make cloaks that actually wrap around the player model. Some day.

Comment by Melilithia

Why does everything have to have giant stitches on it? Ruins the look.

Horde cloak and tabard on a Huuuuman . SHAME

Comment by Kandred

With PvP sets and Warfronts having unique gear models again, my hope is that they rotate through the different races on each faction as the seasons progresses. So while BfA Season 1 is very much an Orcs and Humans theme, a later season could bring with it something more appropriate for the Elven races on the Horde.

Might be a decent way to provide heritage-type armor for the older races. So while they won't get heritage armor in the strictest sense, we'll nonetheless get modern high-def sets that play to the core of each race's themes.

Yeah, I really hope they add some kind of equivalent to heritage armor for existing races in BfA somehow. They've mentioned that Stromgarde is meant to be the first Warfront, not necessarily the only one. The Horde really has a problem with simplifying everything meant to be "faction-themed" to really just mean "orc-themed." At least the Alliance's human-themed Warfront weapons and armor don't look terrible on the other Alliance races, because they don't all have glaringly different aesthetics. The leather sets won't look absolutely terrible on night elves, since they do have a vaguely avian theme instead of just having nothing but lions on them, they're just not in the right colors to be called Darnassian armor. The Alliance cloth sets are also generic enough to look good on most if not all of the Alliance races, and the mail and plate sets won't look horribly out of place on dwarves, for instance.

But all the Horde gear looks like it was made out of recycled orc buildings. It doesn't even look that great on the other more "primitive" Horde races like trolls and tauren, because pretty much the only thing their aesthetics have in common is that they look kind of tribal and wild and stuff like that. They'll all make armor from animal parts and wood and whatnot, but tauren and trolls don't decorate everything they make with tons of spikes like orcs do. Trolls like putting bones and animal tusks and voodoo symbols on their gear, while the tauren like to use feathers and animal-shaped wood carvings and totemic designs inspired by Native Americans. Then you've got the Horde's elves and the Forsaken and the goblins, whose aesthetics are the complete opposite of all of that, so it all clashes horribly.

Comment by Gwiez

On the opposite side of the same coin several other have mentioned, I'd like to see more rugged / tribal alliance gear. Some individuals, classes, or races aren't necessarily into having well-tailored gear all the time. Voodoo gnomes, hermit druids, mountaineer dwarves, etc. They would be wearing patched together furs and leathers, just like the horde's elves (and even some goblins and forsaken) would prefer higher fashion.
