I for one think it is a bad thing to start having those limited achievement, especially since I see nowhere any reward for killing G'huun on MM. A title bound to the first 100 guild realmwide to down a boss doesn't fix anything that other people already pointed out. Neither would another reward on top of the mound, achievement and title. It would just add salt to the wound.
There is something that some guilds do currently. They make a new guild, kill M Argus, and then leave the guild aside from a few anchor characters and do it over again. Like on US-Illidan the guilds "Anger" and "Nark and Friends" which are the same guild and "Red Alert" whom I assume are transfers. These guilds had the kills then reformed in new guilds to take up another spot. Since the progression of these things is community driven the person that runs wowprogress.com can just give the same world kill number to the aforementioned guilds but they still take up slots on the indivual realm listing. Also what if you faction change after a clear and get it on both horde and alliance? I mean it's technically fair if someone wants to pay money to do that, but when it's a Blizzard run ranking should it be built to prevent these types of things? Or could say the top 10 guilds do re-clears in a new guild every week taking X amount of spots from other players/guilds?
The new Hall of Fame titles might stop the bleeding, but I don't see it changing the balance of factions for high end PVE. Over the course of several expansions it might eventually balance out, which might be their goal. But asking your whole guild to pay for realm+faction transfers to Alliance for the possibility of a title is a tall order. Say you have a roster of 25 and everyone has an average of 2 alts that need to tag along... that's $165 per member or $4125 USD for everyone (less for faction change only, but realm change is probably necessary for recruitment pool on the other faction). I think its time Blizzard let you take multiple toons along for your transfers (or at least have some kind of package deal). There's also a good chance some of those members would just prefer to stay where they are and join another guild because they genuinely prefer Horde and don't care about the title.Racial abilities are an issue, but at least blood elf is being nerfed in BfA which will help with the crazy M+ imbalance. Troll might be an outlier for some specs in raids, but Alliance has some good DPS racials for some classes as well (dwarf and human are good for many specs, for example).
Just give the Alliance a 70 percent boost to EVERYTHING. That'll even us out.
This sort of change furthers my theory that they're gonna be making a Megaserver push soon.
The charts point out that the Racial advantages between Alliance and Horde races need to either be removed or simply disabled in rated PvP and Raid. That's the reason why the top guilds, especially the ones who historically were Alliance raiding guilds and arena teams jumped ship over to the Horde when their racials gave their players a competitive edge over the past couple expansions, etc.Really sad to see Blizzard doesn't even the playing field when it comes to competitive content such as Rated PvP and Mythic Raiding as even a 1% boost in a stat or damage granted by uneven racials means the difference between a kill or a <5% wipe in raiding content, or your healer dying to a measly 10k overkill damage before they could get off their 60% heal in pvp.
No, it won't work. The reasons why are even stated in this article:1) Running a 3man PvP team requires almost no recruitment compared to running a 20man mythic progression guild. It's like comparing driving a car and flying a jet plane. The time requirements are just magnitudes of order apart.2) As the article states, there are still realms out there with even Gul'dan mythic serverfirst available for grabs. If Mythic guilds cared about titels, they would have long spread out to those low-pop realms to grab their achievemets - but they don't. They simply don't. That's a fact. Nobody wants to transfer with a healthy 20+10 roster to a low-pop realm for grabbing realm-firsts, only to have people leave and leave, and leave as they ALWAYS do and not being able to replace them on an almost empty realm..so you entire guild breaks up because it can no longer raid mythic at all.Granted, x-fering to a high-pop Alliance server may not be as bad as x-fering to an almost empty realm for Server-First achievements - but looking at the 70:30 ratio every Horde GM knows: Recruitment will be more than twice as hard on Alliance side than it is now on Horde. And it will get even worse, when some Top-Guild actually DO transfer and drain the small pool of available players dry. It may even out eventually...at some distant, future point...but coupled with the fact that WoW ALYWAYS loses players after an expansion launch and never gains them....would you really bet on that to happen if yu were a Horde Mythic-Guild leader? I have strong doubts about it.
Horde / Alliance should have always had separate Glad/Mythic firsts. this is long over due
Giving the removed handouts so they stop crying about being baddies. Lulul.
Looks like if you're alliance and already a cutting edge guild you'll get hall of fame to - i mean i hear plenty of guild going from alliance to horde. Granted its rumours but it must mean something about the racials being unbalanced.
Put these achievements so people buy more tokens for rl cash to pay boosters with gold afterwards. It's so obvious, if you cared about raiding you wouldn't put titanforge in game at first place How about to return 10 man raiding? I mean relevant 10 man raiding with top gear like it used to be? Do you know how many guilds you %^&*ed up with these mythic restriction of 20 man (including mine) ? Sadly you are bloody joke Blizzard i have to say.
I think this can be fixed easily but getting the community on bored would take alot. Eventually we are going to see a threat so big that Alliance and Horde must work together for the greater good. You would have thought this would already be a thing seeing how many times we have responded to giant threats but nope still gotta keep the war effort going. I mean what would be so hard about implementing it so alliance can join horde guilds and vis versa. Pvp? Easy fix would just be that pvp would still be faction based for old pvp grounds and arena would now be skirmishs mixed with 2 teams doesnt matter about faction. I mean it would take some effort but I think it would fix a lot of problems going forward with wow. Just an idea. Anyone else have Ideas?
