First Look at Mythic Argus' Secret Phase

Upon entering phase three, Amun'thul is able to subdue Argus with a Temporal Blast... or, so it seems...

The first thing you'll notice is all his abilities in this phase are now red: his Scythe, some orbs, debuffs and Apocalypsis Module. Argus also heals to 66% upon the start of this phase.

Red Argus' Deadly Scythe has been replaced by Soulrending Scythe. Every time a player is hit by the Scythe, it summons two Rent Souls which chase players down and detonate when touched for 7,000,000 Shadow damage.

Argus also surrounds the room in red Scythes periodically during his Edge of Annihilation attack. Half the scythes will begin to spin and after a few seconds will fire through the middle of the room. Then the other half will fire. Players must find the gaps in the Scythe lines without the visual that is present in Phase 2.

Instead of Reorigination Modules, Apocalypsis Module spawn and will start to grow in size as they continue their channel via Initialization Sequence. Upon reaching 0 health, the modules will trigger an Apocalypsis Pulse and create an Apocalypsis Zone whose size depends on how fast you killed the module.

We also saw players tethered to a stake via Chains of Sargeras or Sentence of Sargeras.

Lastly, the Sargeras Debuffs are back in this phase and we've described them in more detail below.

What is the point of ‘getting better gear’ from relevant raid when these racers expect to kill Aarhus with 1 weeks worth of Antorus gear and still some tomb sets? That just devalues the whole raid imo

Make Mythic bosses take weeks, I thinks it’s acceptable for Argus to be easier with the pantheon trinkets... after all that IS what they are there for.

If a boss is too easy people moan if they can’t kill it after 10 wipes it’s too hard. People just need to enjoy the raid and gear up :)
