Yet another reason to get back into the arena! Thanks, Blizzard!

I assume the ensembles for any specific set will unlock only the given faction's "base" colours, and not the Elite variations, correct?

Yeah, the ensembles unlock the appearances of the individual sets you can currently buy. So as an Alliance player I can choose to buy the Alliance Season 13 chest, in 7.1.5 I can choose to buy the complete Alliance look. No Horde or Elite options available.

Liked how the ol' Blade's Edge Arena is really old - those pillars with tiny ropes doesn't exist since Wotlk(?), now you have a pair of ramps in the mid of the bridge.
Anyway, I hope they bring Orgrimmar Arena someday.

Comment by liotie

Now if only they could improve the mark of honor droprate. Farming BG's for a whole week just for a set of old pvp gear is not worth it. Not when you used to be able to buy the whole set after 1-2 day of doing BG.

Comment by jjanchan

Agreed. When this currency is purely for cosmetic purposes, there's no drawbacks to increasing the drop rate.

I'm think patch 7.1.5 release on live in 3-4 january.

Comment by perculia

I think it's going to be the 17th along with Nighthold; many businesses have off on the 2nd and it would be messy to launch a new patch when people could still be on vacation or delayed traveling with bad weather.

WTB the Elite colors

Comment by Insanewolfy

If that new arena is anything like ashamane's fall and black rook hold I see a lot of NO PATH AVAILABLE in my future. :( It looks cool though so I guess there is that?

Comment by Tinkerer

It should be exactly the same as the old Blade's Edge Arena, except with improved visuals.

Still, I'm not sure blizz would present all those new changes to most classes while burning their face with Nighthold right away. Shouldn't they give some small window so people can adapt a little bit? Maybe some player will switch specs, not sure how stat weights will behave with the new "balance", and overall small tweaks before jumping in the fire.

I second the January 3rd idea.

Comment by janejunx

Didn't they just say they don't like massive class changes and raids hitting at the same time? I swear I read that on this site like... this week.

I would assume the 2nd or 9th. People not being able to play day 1 for a low-content patch versus 2 weeks of class live data from class tweaks seems like an easy decision.

Comment by likwidd

Pretty sure it'll be the on the 10th. I can't see them releasing the raid and the patch on the same day. As janejunx said above, they just said that they don't want to release the raid on the same day there are massive class changes. I agree with perc that 3rd seems a bit messy of a time, though it would be nice to have the two weeks to get used to the new ins and outs! :)

Gruul's Lair was merely a setback! And I also didn't expect him to survive the First expansion either! This should be fun!

Comment by luciferish

So these ensembles are not going to be usable by Demon Hunters at all? They are all class specific...

Comment by Panthrax

For some reason I had this date baked into my mind. Patching the day everyone gets back to work after a week off? I don't think so. We know they don't want it the same day as the raid. We know its not coming after. That leaves the 10th.

Comment by Aarkan

Remember that Dreadful and Malevolent Gladiator armor can be crafted by Blacksmiths, Leatherworkers and Tailors. Probably the easier way for non-pvpers to get those armor looks.

Comment by darkelemental1

Thats really the core issue. Honor was a steady farm were you could nearly calculate out how much PVP you had to do to get what you were after. Now, as with way too many things in Legion, its all RNG and I could grind Bgs all day and not see a mark drop.

Comment by Soeroah

Well Demon Hunters didn't exist before Legion so they wouldn't have PvP sets. These are the PvP equivalents to raid tier sets.

But daaaamn, so many marks are gonna be required. Even with 12 characters running the PvP missions this'll take a while..
