Are there any achievements linked to doing these? Or anything at all you can keep like appearances, toys, etc?

It's not a new appearance in Legion - we go back to his usual location in Mists for one of the taverns :)
No achievements, no unlockable appearances... no rewards, these mini-events thus far all seem pointless asides bringing minor flavor to the world XD
Depends whether the character taking the screenshots had completed the quests or not. It's not his first appearance this expansion because it's an appearance from a previous expansion.
So you mean you also do it once for that one item and never again. Sometimes fun stuff without reward is just for fun and should have a place in WoW.
That's was the point of those holidays - fun, flavor, making world seem more alive, not be a "mandatory" - i need to grind stuff to get my mount, achievement, transmog. But, yeah, some can get boring after first time, but maybe there will be those you will wait for (like Boat Day - i guess some kind of racing maybe).

You did see the part about a buff for the secondary stat, right? That's reason enough sometimes.
It's not an appearence in Legion at all, since that tavern is in the Veiled Stair, in Pandaria, where he is, or was. So...
To clarify Wrathion some more - we're taking pictures on a copied character that never did the legendary questline. His dialogue is pretty standard, talking about why he chose his name and the black dragonflight.
Blizz stated that these mini holidays would have no rewards such as achievements, pets or toys just so you wouldn't feel like you missed out on something if you weren't able to/didn't want to log into game that day. They are purely there for something fun to go do.
