i never minded needing to use tomes to change talents or glyphs.. I hope they still leave a way for people to change their talents and what not solo 'in the wild' without having to go sit inside an inn to do it. I also hope that is this Scribe made tome is the only way to do it, then it will last 'forever' when not used up, and not one of those that disappear when you log out, like mana cakes.
Glad to see that feedback is being acted on =)And I don't mind the talent change, Its still free to change them.
Irrefutable proof that Blizzard listens to its players. For better or for worse.
Let the "removed, i forgot to change my talents" season begin :D
Sigh, bye bye spec identity, the theme of the expansion. The cost to respec was so tiny it wasn't noticable. And then having to go to a "safe place" to change talents, lol, boss pulls are gonna take forever during progression. Aight we at this boss, everyone hearth and change to you cleave talents... stupid, but on a side note, time to roll scribe on every toon.
"We currently plan to give Scribes a recipe to craft a consumable Tome that can be dropped in order to allow all nearby players to retalent freely for a time - particularly useful for group play."Seems like more a hassle than helpful. Why not just keep the old tomes system?
Very nice changes. I like that scribes have a group-item now, that also fits role-play themes (and of course, incentivizes good gameplay).
I'm glad this item is gonna be scribe crafted, rather than on vendors like the Tome of the Clear Mind. I'll finally have something quick and easy to sell again (RIP Shoulder Enchants)
i cant stand this just let it be awesome and let us change talents whenever i dont see what was wrong with that changing talents for trash and stuff i find fun its an extra thing to do
Wasn't the "Tome area to change things made by a Scribe" something they planned for when they first released Inscription? Originally you were going to make a Lexicon and that would allow people to change Glyphs for a small period of time.
Scribes will have something they can sell for more than 15 seconds at the beginning of the xpac.
LFM 1 Dps, link inscription.
You've effectively replaced one reagent with another.I understand the reasoning. But I find the solution somewhat counter-productive.I want to be rid of extra items taking up bag space. Consider replacing the scroll with a 20 second cooldown.
Yes! I'm so happy they're taking away the respec cost. Yes, I know it was fairly small, but it adds up, and it was most punishing to tanks and healers. The last thing Blizzard needs to be doing is discouraging people from taking on those roles.I don't mind the talent change, personally, though I can understand why others would. I tend to pick one talent setup per spec and stick with it, but I also don't raid.
We did it guys!Oh, but now they broke talents...
So ... if i went to dungeon with my friends and our tank leaves ...And i will have tank offspec ...I can respec and go on ...Or i have to port somwhere safe, and then i can respec? :-/
Not quite sure what was wrong with the old system of talent changes and respec but ok Blizz. The new way of talent changing for me as a healer is going to just be a pain. I'll use my shaman currently as an example - If the fight that i"m getting ready to heal has everyone stacking for the most part I might spec into conductivity for aoe heals. If the fight has everyone spread out I might spec into rushing streams. To have to go to a 'safe' zone or redo my professions to have a scribe with a raid team is just ridiculous. Leave the cost in to change specs if you need to have a 'gold sink' somewhere but sheesh, what was wrong with the tomes to change talents? Raise the price of the tomes if you need more gold sinking.I would also love a little bit more clarification on these new scribe 'tomes'. Is this something that ONLY a scribe can drop? Or is this something that they can make then sell or send to others to use? Also where are these 'safe' zones?
