Oooooh boy. Kel'Thuzad looks mean...This is gonna be fun. xD I'm glad I just recently made a half-decent Warrior deck.
Sapphiron has blizzard and cone of cold in his deck also, at least on normal, can't remember ever seeing him play them on heroic. Also Alexstrasza doesn't work against heroic Sapphiron, it gets destroyed without doing anything just like against heroic Loatheb, and if you use Animal Companion against Kel'thuzad you just get Mr. Bigglesworth instead of what you normally do.
The link that is supposed to beDecks to defeat heroic Kel'Thuzadis actually: http://www.hearthhead.com/decks?filter=cr=40;crs=30;crv=0Normal KT is: http://www.hearthhead.com/decks?filter=cr=40;crs=29;crv=0Heroic Sapphiron is: http://www.hearthhead.com/decks?filter=cr=40;crs=28;crv=0Normal Sapphiron is: http://www.hearthhead.com/decks?filter=cr=40;crs=27;crv=0The hearthhead links are currently going to Grobbulus for the KT link, and patchwerk for shapphiron.
Link to decks for heroic sapph is linking to decks for heroic patch. Easily fixed by filtering, but just saying...
Filter links fixed.
Kel'Thuzad isn't that hard? Are we fighting the same Kel'Thuzad?
KT being hard or not may depend on the deck being used.KT is the only fight where I lost more than once before finally winning. It is also the first fight that I had to use a semi-custom deck on normal mode. Then again, I was determined to win every fight using a priest deck. My normal ranked-mode priest deck just wasn't up to defeating KT. Once I switched decks, things went much more smoothly (still used a priest deck anyway).
Just thought I'd throw in my two cents worth: I found that a simple Antonidas Rush deck worked great for both bosses on normal (KT especially was a pain in the ass with anything else). Haven't tried on Heroic yet, but I'll be giving it a try there as well.
Kel'Thuzad isn't that hard? Are we fighting the same Kel'Thuzad?I personally four shot KT once I used a zoo deck. Your mileage may vary. He only used Nether once, and he used it when I had just cleared the board so what I lost was very little. When I tried other decks, which I did at first, I did not win--so I suspect if you're finding him hard, you're not using a rush deck.
I think it's time to dust off the Murlock deck again...
Just putting it out there, the heroic versions of these fights are like night and day from the normal versions, so please don't comment on "the heroics aren't too hard" if you haven't done them yet. While both get easier with the right decks, they both have some major RNG elements. For Saph I found the RNG was more on what you drew yourself; a bad draw for the situation meant you'd get overcome by the pretty beefy minions that she sends out (Saph is a girl, right?). For KT, beyond having to push him past his armor before his hero power melts you (or surviving until he gets through half his deck, something that few people have actually mentioned), you have to deal with the RNG of his phase 2 hero power - and some bad RNG can make or break an attempt (in my successful kill I initially dodged a 50-50 shot at a Sludge Belcher (he took a silver hand recruit), and then he decided not to use the HP for the rest of the fight, instead dropping various ~3 cost minions). As far as the heroics go, for my mind these were clearly the hardest, and took me longer to do than any other wing despite there being only 2 bosses.
Your probably thinking of Sindragosa, Sapphiron is male.
Your probably thinking of Sindragosa, Sapphiron is male.Correct. Sindragosa is in ICC, before you fight Kel's boss.
Filter links fixed. The links in the Decks/Naxx section needs fixing too, Sapphiron/KT links to Patchwerk/Grobbulus.
The heroic bosses for these wings were the hardest of them all. I beat Sapphiron with an all weapon warrior deck, with chargers and ample removal. Kel'Thuzad on the other hand was much more difficult for me. I could usually survive the ice stage, but by the time he gets to his second stage, I would be out of cards and he would just use his hero power every turn if I had a half-decent minion out. It was very frustrating, so I ended up net-decking a healadin variation to beat him. Paladin or Shaman are ideal classes for beating him, since your hero power generates token minions.
I beated heroic KT with fairly standard zoo deck on second try, he was much easier than Sapphiron to me.
I've noticed heroic Kel'Thuzad doesn't necessarily need to have all his armour removed to switch to the second stage. I had him down to 2 armour when he said I had spread myself too thin (I had, I think, six minions out) and he changed modes!
Thrombin2 - he does that when his deck is down to half size (I think he does it when he draws his 15th card, leaving 14 in the deck, but can't verify at which point - 15 left or 14 left - that it happens).
It happens on Kel'Thuzad's eleventh turn regardless of armour on heroic.
Kel'thuzad also have a Shadow Madness card, just played on me before a minute... for the killing hit :(
