Due to popular demand (and a few shady back-alley deals in Stormwind’s Old Town), the Alliance bike built for Azeroth Choppers will be rumbling its way to a vendor in Azeroth sometime after the launch of Warlords of Draenor. This mount will cost a pretty hefty sum of gold, however, so you might want to start saving up now if you want to ride around in style on this masterful machine. As a reminder, once the winning Horde Chopper is added to the game, it will be available for free to players who log in between now and September 30, 2014.
Remember, only characters of the associated faction will be able to ride each bike, so buyer beware!
when mounts are subject to a collection meta game that has rewards they have to keep both sides equal. they can't award a mount to one faction and not have an opposite faction version available.
I think it's just silly Alliance players complained this much. It was a voting system you should have voted more. But the idea of them still having to pay for the mount in game is okay. Can't wait to ride my Free Horde bike!
That #$%^TY HORRIBLE horde bike for free and the really beauty alliance bike for sums of gold.Because allies are rich and all horde live in slums (just look at orgrimmar).Great capitalism going into a game lol
yeah I'm not much of a gold farmer so yeah a little worried on the cost
Boohoo alliance gets mount screwed. Shoulda come out and voted for it then and get more to vote for it and have it win. Bottomline it didn't so enough of the nerd rage over 1 mount that doesn't make the game experience anymore different. The rest of the stuff is just blabbering ignorance Lore is responding to. Sit back and have fun until finished WoD drops. Beta is hardly worth playing and complaining about unless there's a gamebreaker identified.
When blizzard is saying you should start saving up now, I really worry about the price of the alliance chopper xs
We're all very surprised at this choice by Blizzard! (/sarcasm)
personally i would have rathered the bike to be in the wow online shop. of well ill have to be satisfied with the old choppa
Kinda expected that - too much forum hate will be going with putting ally bike to cash shop. ;)
Knew this would happen, regardless of which mount won.I was, however, expecting it to be a Blizz Store mount. This way is cool, as it means that I do get a chance to buy it easy enough. Gold really isn't -that- hard to come by if you try just a bit here and there. Even if you can't afford it -right away-, it shouldn't take long to save up if you make the effort.Anyone who actually thought they would give any one side a mount advantage, when countless times there have been complaints and issues on both factions about mount imbalance, is a prime example of "those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it."I'd love to see a raid of Alliance vs a Raid of Horde, all riding those bikes, though. That would be great.
Its very much lame the hordes is free and alliance is going to cost a pretty penny..... Favoritism? I think so!
Not that I'm going to complain about another mount in game. Guess I'll add it to the list of mounts I've never been able to afford because I'm useless at playing the AH for profit. And in regards to the other stuff, damn... I've never heard such a pile of childish drivel. Its tantamount to schoolyard hearsay. I don't like something so I'll make up aggressive lies and over exaggerations. Not quite sure what the point is...
I'm not an AH guy. My toons don't usually have a lot of gold on them and when they do it goes toward gems, enchants, things that make my hunter kill bosses faster. I'll never own the Alliance bike due to this costing a "hefty sum." So, no I don't consider this great news. Just something else in the game designed to drain gold that I don't have.Even if I did manage to earn the gold, I wouldn't waste it on the counterpart to a bike that the Horde gets for free - there's no value there. If it were offered in the shop then maybe I'd have a shot at it, but it isn't so I'll just write this one off.
I'm surprised that anyone is surprised by the future availability of the Alliance chopper.Garrisons can't be moved or created elsewhere? How unfortunate; I'm not fond of the area in which the Horde garrison is placed. How difficult would it have been to program a few extra possible locations for them? That, combined with the availability of only orc and human architecture for the structures...perhaps Blizzard should have let this expansion bake for a little bit longer before pulling it out of the oven.
Just asking ( maybe i misread )...we will not have heirlooms shared cross-server?My plan to reroll 11 new ally chars for WoD will be delayed damn...
