Just a couple of observations. It is a good idea to support a resource you use a lot. The people who make all this stuff are just like you, they are real people who have to pay for a place to live, food to eat, transport to work, all that stuff. Nobody is getting rich from what website advertising pays, trust me.So if you like the site and use the info, you should support it. Just because they don't threaten to turn off your access like your internet provider or give you only an "introductory" experience free like WoW doesn't mean that you shouldn't pay for using the content provided.THIS.When I read this article I didn't even realize that there was a premium option available. I read through the perks and then read through the comments. The comments are what made me decide to subscribe; the complaints about the price, asking for more perks etc. I use this site every day, and that's not an exaggeration. Wowhead is my first stop for reading about gear, making changes, transmog, quest information, hints on beating mobs, hints on old instances and raids, and so on. I've been playing since vanilla, so can you imagine the amount of hours I have spent on this site? All of it for free. The good people that host and maintain this site mostly do it for the love of the game, not for monetary rewards. This is not their full time job. The time that we spend playing the game they spend collecting information about quests and items, taking screenshots of new scenery, so that we can enjoy them ahead of time. For the people that ask for more perks; the fact that this site even exists is a perk! I don't think I can ask for any more than that. For the people that can't afford to sub, I understand. I have been in that place as a student or just starting out in life, and counting every penny. Thankfully I'm in a place now when I can sub, and I hope one day soon you will be there too.Overall, let's just stop and think what we already have before asking for more, eh?/rant over.
My sub isn't crossing over to Wowhead. Sad day. I shall wait for a response to my email!
I don't find the $29.99 a yr/$4.99 a mo issue a problem. I've subscribed to wow/Zams I the past and loved it. But money does get tight from time to time for me and I missed this yrs re-up. As soon as I can afforde it, I'll re-up. Some folks around here seem to be upset about this pricing, I know I don't know what $29.99 translates into in uros, or dong, or any other countrys currency. But it is reasionable here in the US of A. Y'all here at WoWHead are awsum people and really do put up with a whole lotta guff from people whom to me, aren't verry thankful for what thay have in this verry uesful resourceAnd the new features are awsum guys, admit it.
I'll stick with ad block plus and save the money.
Honestly what I really want is an android app for tablets or Phones. Some way to not need to toggle for info if needed. Also a smoother way to read the news from your site (rather then a browser style something more like feedly style) I would definitely pay for that. For Bonus Points some addon that usings QR Code or some simple look up system for anything with a link (quests or items, NPC's) that type of thing.

ZAM is a for-profit company, not a charity. I love Wowhead (and Lolking/Hearthhead) just as much as the next person, but they're not doing this for free. This IS their job, and this subscription isn't a 'donation', it's a paid service they're providing.About ZAM
My sub isn't crossing over to Wowhead. Sad day. I shall wait for a response to my email!Same. Sent an email yesterday but haven't heard back yet. :(
If you wanted a stampede of new subscribers you should have offered a premium-only landing page with just the search box :Doh! I really LIKE that idea!

Yes, THIS.I am brand new to computer gaming, brand new to WoW. This site and the user comments have literally made my decision to continue playing. Without wowhead, there would be no WoW in my life. I don't know how many times per login session I come here to find out what "xxx" is or where "yyy" can be located, but it is a lot.I'm here at my daughter's request, even though I've avoided all video/computer games for my 50+ years until now. Every time I sit down at my computer to play WoW, I login to wowhead first. In the past couple of months, the new "How to play " guides have been indispensable. All the people who take time out of their play time to add comments and screenshots on every little thing in the game are amazing. Coming into this environment with zero knowledge as the ten year anniversary is happening, you have no idea how over-whelming this game is.Thank you wowhead commenters and thank you wowhead.
I didn't know there was a premium membership, shows how observant i am probably, but ive been playing WoW for many many years, and whenever im stuck, im off to 'WoWhead' it. There are lots of times i would have been really stuck without this site, so i think its about time i made a donation to say thanks. I'll try out this new membership next time i get paid, just as a thanks for always being there for me, and if im still playing WoW in a years time, i may even renew :)
