Good read. I tend to suck on arena and that's why I don't usually invest on playing the mode. I think I'll give my self another try and use some strategy I learned from this. Thanks Dills!
Nice little guide, but it isn't really complex enough if you really want to learn the art of drafting. I would recommend the guides at Ben's Gaming Corner on Youtube. He goes into depth about how you should be drafting your arena decks and shows how he plays them. Remember that watching other people play this game, in particular, can really help you develop as a player.
Can someone tell me be the benefit to retiring a deck?
Can someone tell me be the benefit to retiring a deck?if you think a deck is utter totally complete garbage and do not want too bother losing 3x with it. then you can retire it.that's pretty much the only thing and time retire might be good for.personally i think you're better of trying anyway, even with a bad looking deck you can often atleast win 1-2x which gives a bit more rewards.
Great article Dills. I like the breakdown of the different phases of the Arena Draft and what you should be looking for during each phase.
Good article.. I will have to try this stragedy out ;)thanks,

After reading this I'm going to give Arena another whirl.
If you're sitting on several hundred gold then you're more concerned about having fun so trying to squeeze a few wins out of a crap deck isn't worth the time or effort. I still always go for it but I can see why some players don't bother. I'd say retiring a deck is an "advanced gameplay" choice.
Great article! This gives me hope that I can draft better in an arena and win more games.Thank you!
I need all the help I can get at Arena! I will give this approach a try. Whether it works or not for me, it is a good article and I'm looking forward to more from WillieDills.
I would love to see an article where you detail more picks for a draft.
Dills, excellent mindset to think of things in categories. It is a very analytical (scientific) method to break things down, but it is the artistic modifications you make as you go through categories that drives the success of your deck.Bottom line for me however, you can pick the best cards in arena but you still have to play against another player and figure out the best way to win.I am not an arena fan, but as always Sir Willie always helps me to drum up confidence in trying something new in a part of the game that I struggle with! Thanks for the read.
Images #5578 to #5581 are not loading :(I don't see any broken images; are you still having this problem?
I don't see any of the images loading. *shrug* I'll check out the VOD some time. Thanks for the basic breakdown and strategy, Dills.
Images #5578 to #5581 are not loading :(I don't see any broken images; are you still having this problem?I have the same problem. All the pick choice images at the end are broken.
I was able to duplicate the problem. For whatever reason when you're not logged-in the images don't appear. Once I login, they show up. Can you confirm that is also the case for you?I've passed this issue on to the appropriate parties.
The issue with some images not loading properly has been fixed!
Great article! I just got my little brother into HS and this was the first thing I had him read before doing anymore Arena runs. He has already gone from an average 3 wins to 6, just changing the way he thinks about his draft :)
