I'd really love "Winter is coming" like event.I'd hate a "Red Wedding" like scenario : i'd rather be alive in scenarios :)
The April's Fool day patch notes are always so funny. I remember the first ones I read. Only players with the panda cub pet could fight Onyxia and jumping while mounted would dismount you. LOL! Funny stuff.
It was almost believable until I saw the prices of the cosmetic items. As if Blizzard would sell anything for $4.99 and under, good one.
Chakra when the walls fell the next generation reference!
I would play this game.
I would even pay for that wrathful paladin one..
Thanks for all the nice comments! It was a huge team effort involving lots of Wowhead staff. Ashelia and I brainstormed the concepts and made the items, Aryu faked the data, and Lilith and Brian handled all the photoshopping. We really like holidays in WoW and wish there were more, so we used this as an opportunity to both make people laugh and dream up some things we'd actually like to see in the game! Whether it's a coincidence or not, several past April 1st pranks are quite similar to later in-game additions, like the Hearthstone tables in Vale and zone/instance-specific Cosmetic armor like the Dark Kor'kron set. I didn't really expect the huge reaction to Druid of the Party, this was one of the last things I came up with and was running low on creativity at that point. Glad everyone liked all the pranks again!Edit: to clarify things, we didn't come up with the patch notes, that was a prank designed by Blizzard which we linked to on battle.net and reposted here to play along with their prank. We'll be doing an April 1st roundup today with some neat things the community came up with in general.
Best part of this april fools joke was reading the comments of people that actually wanted more store bought items. Thanks guys, you remember me not to resub anytime soon :)It warms my heart now and again when I come across the rare, occasional player who sees eye to eye with me on this. Things I like in this (and what I think) Lol. Fun here:"Gnomes should just probably not be Death Knights."(Makes sense plus Gnome DKs are fun to watch trying to beat someone clearly bigger then them)For safety, all Hunters must now wear bright orange vests at all times. (Also when going into camouflage. The vest still should be shown)Bows and Crossbows now use the Gun sounds. (lol good thing I'll be using Sonic Pulse Generator. HA!)To make playing a Mage more enjoyable, players who use the words “tray,” “food,” “drink,” “table,” “snack,” “mage,” or “pls” in Raid, Party, Battleground, Say, Yell, General, or Trade channels within a Mage’s hearing are killed instantly. (HA!)Blackout Kick now causes the victim to wake up the next day and question their life choices. (Why me?)Warriors have been nerfed because reasons. (Right....)Warlocks are now overpowered. This will be addressed in a future expansion. (Ugh..)Vampiric Embrace now calls upon a glittery vampire to hold you and tell you he will always protect you, Bella. (So wrong)The Black Market Auction House has been moved to the floor of the Gurubashi Arena. (Well if you need that item so bad..)Once again, due to lack of use, the Dance Studio has been removed from the game. (Boo!)"...the Hearthstone will now be called a Homerock." (Makes sense to some)"...repairs on Stormwind Park continue to be bogged down in political turmoil" (Dang..)And thats all the ones I like. Keep it up. I like to see more fun jokes like this. :)Really enjoyed your highlights and thoughts... I admit that even though I don't watch or care for Twilight, I wouldn't mind a glittery vampire showing up in game and holding my character! haha!
You... are... so... cruel... on 1 minute i think that this is true... And i was happy for that! But you ruined my dreams =\\ no longer feeling happines
Oh dear, I was so mad when I saw that Blizzard shop screenshot. Thank heavens it's just an April Fools joke.
Good joke cause no other class other than warlocks deserve green fire. Its a big pain in the butt to get the book to start the questline. Let alone finishing that final boss off has been a test of patience and anger from dieing
I especially enjoyed the tweet from @Jer_seely about how the Blizz April Fool patch notes just cost us a raid tier! HAHA!He...he wasn't serious....right?...RIGHT?
$%^& me! I SERIOUSLY THOUGHT THIS WAS REAL!
Sooo .... many ...... Game of Thrones reference.
true, but it's no more believable than when Blizzard announced that they would base an entire expansion on the movie "Kung Fu Panda", yet they did.
And some of them were, like Pandaria, Pandaren race, and the Shado-Pan were announced to be added to Warcraft III as an April fool's joke in 2002. 9 or10 years later they built a whole expansion on that idea. So... You never know :)

Well aware of the date, you still got me in general. Some details were obvious jokes, like "Proving Ground rating of Gold will be required to post on the forums in Warlords of Draenor", but most seemed legit. Well played!
Warrior changes with Charge looks amazing (Yes I know it was April Fools, but still.)
Was so excited about the cosmetic spell changes... Then the truth dawned on me. How disappointing.
