I met my best friend through wow and we eventually met up a few months later and I now visit her every year or so. I also met my boyfriend via wow (who actually knew a friend of a friend and we would have never met if it wasn't for wow). I am pretty excited to see what this show will be like :D
I've met many great people through WoW...but the very best...my husband! At the time we met, he was living up in Washington state and I was down in California. We were both healers for a 25 man raiding guild on the Ner'zhul server. We talked over vent pretty often after raid, even doing some arena and bg's after raids for fun. Eventually life came into the fold, when he was sent down to California for work for one weekend, turned out he was only about 20 minutes from where I lived and so we decided to meet up for dinner. It was just meant to be, fast forward 4 years and we are now happily married (married Nov 2nd 2013). We are proof great things come from online friendships.
My BF and I had one blind date a few days before Valentine's day, and then in WoW he sent me a candy heart that said "Hot Lips"That was almost 6 years ago and it's been true love ever since! We spent most of our time together in game between my weekend visits as it was a long distance relationship for a couple years. We still play together, but now it's in the same computer room <3Mildly off topic, but when my friend from college got married, she made sure she seated us with her other guildies. It was a pretty fun table!
I've met a lot of interesting people over the years. One person in particular became a very close friend of mine during my real life relationship being involved with WoW. He was there for me when my boyfriend was gone at work and he truly cared about me. As my real life relationship started to go sour, He comforted me and made me realize that I deserved better. We began to hang out more and more. Killing old world bosses or just chilling in shrine to show off our cool new transmogs. We were like peanutbutter and jelly. But then it came to a screeching halt. He began to want something more that I wasn't prepared for. I knew I would never see him in real life because of where I ended up with mine. So I broke off our friendship to not cause anymore hurt or sorrow. I just wish that he is still happy in his life and maybe found another girl to spend his days with. The only thing I regret is living 1200miles away from him.
My friend's name is Okolicsanyi Lezuzius. He's a great face. We're the best team EU ever. Beautiful man. I love this man. Thanks WoW, and Blizzard <3
I met my best friend on WoW. We were just friends at first, just having fun online and before we knew it we decided to start dating. Mind you it was pretty difficult since we had to travel a lot (i'm from Romania and he's from Norway). We made it work for a while but the distance and lack of finances finally ended our meetings. We never stopped talking though, so now we're best friends. ♥
I started playing in WotLK, and in the first dungeon I ever did (Deadmines) I met one of my best friends. Five years later we're still playing and raiding together, and our friendship is stronger than ever.
I run alot of raids on Open raid and with my guild/real ID friends. I met fair bit of friends through Open raid, and several have run with me since my first few weeks on the website (been a member for two years). There are acually two nice stories I have with WoW raiding. 1st. A pally I have run with for the entire two years, we farm mounts together and kill bosses, do LFRs and just have a good time doing arenas, etc. He has known me and my wife (my gf at the time) for some time and we have become very close. Long story short, he came all the way to England to come to our wedding and be my best man. We still keep in contact and we always have each others backs. He is always a true friend and a good man, bless his heart.2nd. During all of my raiding time, when FL became cross realm, I did lots of runs and made legendaries. I ended up meeting a few people from the runs, who I still keep in contact with. A friend of mine was there from the start, and she is super fun to play with. Over time, I met a warlock who did Ulduar with me as we farmed the mounts back in Cata. He ended up coming to all of my raids, and came into FL. Through me, he met my female friend (Bri) and as her guild wasnt raiding, she just raided cross realm with us. At a certain point, the warlock (Ice) brought his GM, who is a hunter (named Ayemer). The hunter and Bri got along really well, and she ended up server transferring. They liked each other so much, they met in real life, have had a child together and will also be getting married next year! Both stories are true, and both have friends I still keep constant contact with :) Me and Ice always joke, since the baby is essentially our love child :P Me and the Pally (Retcon) are still good friends, and we will keep it that way. At the wedding next year, we will all meet face to face, with BBQ offerings for all!
I've met quite a couple of friends through WoW, most notably friends in Norway and Turkey, which I had the great pleasure of visiting for a guildmeeting. I still have contact with them through WoW and through other media, like facebook, Skype and the likes on a near daily base.
My guilds, Vigilance and Winging it have the closest friends I've had in life and we all met on World of Warcraft. Whenever someone isn't doing good or is having a bad day, we've got each others' back. Even if I stop playing, they'll still be the closest people in my life.
I've made a lot of great friends in the 8+ years I have been playing WoW. After my first guild of 5 years fell apart I took a 6 month break from the game, but kept in touch with many of the friends I made in guild. When I came back I was welcomed with open arms into a guild that my old guild had done joint raids with for a couple years. I have been with them ever since and we have a yearly get-together at the guild leader's house and play board and card games all weekend.
I cannot play if my Bubi isn't online! <3
I've met two of my best online friends through WoW. The first one I met was in a little guild I stayed in while I leveled up through BC. We've been talking ever since. My newest friend I met through pet collecting and battling.
Two of the greatest friends I know I met on World of Warcraft back in 09'. We raided together through Wrath, Cata, and MoP, both normal and Heroics. Hell, we one of them deployed, we carrying his main character through Heroic Deathwing just so we all had the win. However, since we all live on opposite sides of the country (California and New York) and have full time jobs, meeting one another physically was a logistical nightmare none of us could afford. However, after 4 years we were finally able to meet up with each other for the first at BlizzCon 2013. Greatest two days ever
Here's my story...4 years ago I met my boyfriend on wow - we were in a 10 man farming ICC. We started talking because I basically barked at him on Vent for causing us to wipe over and over with his taunting of the bosses. He said I had a "sexy voice" on Vent, sadly I missed it because I was engaged in whispers with other raid members. One of them let me know what he said and I sent him a message thanking him, etc. We started talking on the regular and became great friends. It was when we decided to start leveling new toons together that our relationship started to blossom. Turned out we only lived 3 hours apart, so we schedule a lunch date. The day before we were suppose to meet, he backed out because he was nervous to meet someone off-line. I told him we could give it some more time and finally we did meet. It wasn't sparks, but it was like hanging out with your best friend. We took it slow and our relationship became solid over the months that followed.Sadly we lived apart for 3 years and only saw each other about every 3 months, BUT we did have wow and it was something I truly believe strengthen our relationship. You get to see your partner in various situations, both socially and tests of adaptability. I truly believe this allows you to see someone at their best and their worst. I will forever be grateful to World of Warcraft for bringing us together!
Wow.. This is pretty awesome! I enjoy watching Catfish and guessing what the outcome will be. I will be looking forward to this episode!I started playing WoW with a small group of friends from another online world. Within a couple of months of joining, I connected with another small and close knit group to do dungeons and level with. This was almost 9 years ago! Remember those days of watching Trade/General to try to form a group? *shudder* ;) By the time Karazhan was released, our two groups had decided to combine into a new guild so we could enter the raiding world. Sadly, most have since moved on - with one passing away. BUT.. One of these friends from my original days in Azeroth has remained for the long haul. We have shared a few guild changes and server transfers. I am blessed that if I ever found myself in a position where I felt the need to move on from a negative guild, he has followed me to start over. There has never been a question of us not being together in game. Today, we are on the same server, but in different raiding guilds due to RL schedules. We cheer each other on for progression kills. We are side by side in all of the non-raid activities. We text and talk daily even when not in game. Thanks to WoW, I have my best friend. We have joked many times about how we will still be gaming together at age 90 from matching rocking chairs on our porches.

Met my wife on wow about 5-6 years ago now we started off as friends who lived over 200miles apart and we ended up moving in together n ended getting married last year !:)
I have made many friends in WoW and I love the friendships I have made. I met my bf through wow 2 years ago. We were in the same guild together and every night when I worked overnight shift he would be playing and we would talk all night. (I have the mobile armory app). I found out he lived a hour away and we decided to meet up one day. We became best friends after that and finally a year later we ended up together. We now live together and are expecting a little one to be joining us in 4 months. We still play together, raid together, and level toons with each other. I never thought I would fall in love with someone playing WoW.
Met one of my friends in WoW in mid-2011. We were (and still are) in the same guild. Can't remember exactly what got us talking, but since we did, we've literally sent tens of thousands of messages between each other through various mediums, to the point where I consider them my best friend. However, things keep happening that have prevented us from actually meeting up, and it seems unlikely that it will happen in the foreseeable future. Regardless, I keep up hope.
