One free 90 sounds great. It won't be top geared, only get profession boosts if you did the first 60 levels, and only happens once. Paying to get more 90s does not sound good to me. I've been working forever on catching up on old content (jousting over 100 days in Northrend, spending over 100 days at tol Barad, collecting groups to get Glory achievements, collecting old expac mounts/titles, still working on chef and salty) and a free 90 doesn't give you 9000 achievement points, all the mounts, pets, or any of the transmog gear/legendary items that take time to collect. Sure a lot of it is easier, but I'll never get a black qiraji mount, and several titles that only go to those who earned them back in the day. Those who don't like where their class has gone this expansion can finally work a new class without the need of feeling like their work was wasted, I can actually get a new friend who can start on current content (instead of spending hours leveling them, then weeks gearing them). The free 90 is a great idea for a 5th! (yeah that's too much work to new people) expansion. What worries me is paying for additional level 90 upgrades. I really think they should keep it at 1 per account. So, to sum up, a free 90 has more positives than negatives. Being able to pay for more 90s is not a good idea. A free 90 still means a lot of work to achieve even some of things old players spent a lot of time on (Loremaster for instance) while there are still lots of unavailable items/titles new players will never get.
....Speechless. Wow will have a bunch of clueless 90s running around, more than usually...
Why bother having achievements for levelling multiple characters, multiple classes, multiple factions, multiple professions and even achievements based on completed achievements if you can just buy them?Where in this post did they say that you can buy achievements?
i see it as cheating other ppl who spent hours of leveling get nothing maybe a toon they dont have but the lazy ppl just starting get booster chairs to sit in ok
Yay! Retarded kids can play world of warcraft now too! Just jog in, create a character and join LFR!You must be trolling if you honestly think LFR is a big deal that requires competent players.
Dang, if I knew the QQ would be this intense I'd have brought popcorn. Keep it coming Blizzard! :D
I've leveled 11 different classes to 90 and all professions plus 2 extra alchemists to 600 I am think I should get a free one
I hope Tyrael's Charger is cheap, as I originally had one from the Annual Pass, but then Blizzard took it and my Diablo 3 license off me after my Battle Net account got hacked and I refused to trust them with my card details, and wouldn't accept payment through time cards. It would be nice to own that mount again.
People who want to level an alt from 1-90 repeatedly will be disappointed others will have the option to skip this tedious step. Everyone else will be happy to be able to play what they paid for immediately.
to be honest i think that this idea is good but they can work a bit on the details,i mean if people want to pay for a lvl 90 and blizzard wont let them, they will just buy a account from ebay or so and play on that, a lot of people stopt playing becous they didn't like the idea of MoP tro this they can skip it and start enjoing the game again.
Going exactly how I thought it would after activision took over. Took a few years. But we are hear. Probably won't be coming back. And for all those saying new players don't want to level up. Why did they revamp the world. With all the level up bonus' provided this seems going over the top. If you don't want to level don't play an mmorpg. The lasting power of rpgs is the content provided. Not buy to upgrade.you realize activision took over before WOW. ´hear´ is with your ears.. ´here´ is the word you want.Blizzard is much smarter than you. They realize a lot of new players, and older players do not want to play a 10 year old game and be 90 levels behind their friends. WOW is very alt friendly, my guess is most new players will boost a 90 to play with their friends at launch, and then later on create alts to see the 1-60 zones. Just like me, I am still playing low level alliance alts because I have never seen some zones... but that would be much less fun if I knew my friends were all doing current raiding without me.

I've seen all the zones, and in addition to 4 90's have a number of alts who are somewhere 60+ because I wanted to try something different (including professions). There's a certain appeal to getting the profession boost on any of them, and even though my gatherers can nab amounts of mats large enough to make profession leveling relatively simple, it's still a time sink. There's really a lot to like about the concept. Including all the QQ...priceless.(sharing the popcorn I brought earlier)
I've leveled 11 different classes to 90 and all professions plus 2 extra alchemists to 600 I am think I should get a free oneYou do get a free one: Everyone who purchases WoD get a free level 90 boost.
All you had to do to get the mount was commit to a years subscription for WOW, still paying monthly you could get out of it by stopping your account. Not really much of a commitment if you were going to be playing anyway plus you got Diablo 3 free.
The thing most of you are missing in this, is that it's an option. No one is forcing anyone to do this, like you either pay for this or you will be left behind. The idea of leveling up to level 90, just as a boost it will allow new players that are coming in to get right into the game. There is no expectation that oh if you want to be really good at this game you need to have done this, this, & that. Also folks that want to say oh well your just letting everyone win if that screenshot is any evidence, if you read the section before it that profession bonus is only for toons that have some actual work done with them. A new player that has never leveled a character won't be eligible for this, that's the whole point of the "veteran's benefit".
The more I think about it, the more okay I am with purchasable 90s. I likely won't use it much (if at all) because I somewhat enjoy leveling, but it should be good for new or returning players who actually want to play the game.
Great, just what everyone wants. New players with a toon that went from lvl 1 to 90 with a press of a button. Meaning more noobs that don't know how to play their class let alone the game itself.Great, just what everyone wants. Old/Veteran/Elitist jerks complaining about people doing what they want to do with their $$$.If they are n00bish just don't get them in yer elite super duper raiding scum guild. Also since when leveling up made you learn the ropes for an MMO? Do you want a company that will make more $$$ with this way so they can keep making expansions and upgrade the game or do you want a dead game with elitist jerks like yer self?Look at vanguard, vets were crying their eye's out not to turn the game into a wow clone dumb down etc, now were is their game? huh answer me that? their game shut down because of population etcdo you want this to happen to wow? better to have a million n00bs and a healthy income to blizzard rather a dead game were its about to be shut down.....I don't care what people do with their money. What I care about is people experience the game itself. Like I stated earlier: If you're paying to level to 90, then what's the point of having 100 levels? Just level from 1 to 10 then allow end-game raids. That's what they're doing. Also I don't know why you spent most of your mentioning "more exp's and better stuff" and constantly insulting a guy by calling him an 'elitist jerk' for stating his opinion. They're doing fine as it is with the millions of subscribers.
What I care about is people experience the game itself. And what if they are players who dislike leveling? Because they do exist; the ones who blow through what they see as 'useless' content so that they can get to the parts they enjoy: The End Game/End Game PVP.
Why not just hand players 100% completed characters while you're at it. I mean you're already doing 70% of their work by leveling them to 90 with professions.Quit Crying not all of us have 100+ hours a week to level and play like we would love to. It's a great idea and they are making the game great for all users, the ones with time to level our own toons and the ones that don't have the time.Where in that did I come off as 'crying'? I was stating my opinion on the matter. You are correct, I don't have '100+ hours a week'. I work full time and have my own life to live. When I log into the game, (any game really), I expect to be given challenges and goals. When I play an MMO I expect to take a long time to get to max level and enjoy the end-game content. The whole point of any MMORPG like WoW is to enjoy the adventure of working your character up through the ranks like questing, PvP, dungeons, ect. If I didn't feel like dedicating any time to a game then I probably shouldn't jump on an MMO or play PC games in general. That's what phone games are for.
What I care about is people experience the game itself. And what if they are players who dislike leveling? Because they do exist; the ones who blow through what they see as 'useless' content so that they can get to the parts they enjoy: The End Game/End Game PVP.Then you shouldn't play an MMORPG like WoW. That's literally the entire point of what WoW is.EDIT: Also, refer to the post you cropped that from. The few sentences after that will also suffice as a response. There's nothing 'useless' about leveling. Why not buy Far Cry 3 with a save file that has 80% of everything leveled up for you and most of the quests completed?
