to add to the list.. i hope it applies to ALL armor, ALL instances, and they do upgrade the loot system to all the game not just WoD, blizz always forgets the "ancient" content that WAS before their newest expansion, when leveling a new low level toon and trying to use the LFG there is always ninja that press "need" even if can't wear the darn thing (although this applies all the way up to pandaria since my rogue had enabled the 'need' button on the str ring from the HH)
It's not going to create the tertiary stats when you win it. So why would they keep rolling for it over and over again? Oh you mean in a terrible raid group where people who already have the piece with no tertiaries would roll on it again when it has tertiaries over someone who doesn't have that piece yet?
Yeah because when I play WoW, I find myself wistfully sighing at useful gear I get and going "I really wish this would drop with a Durability enhancement or some heal on damage received..."And it's random! And it's additional! And it's probably gonna be required for bleeding edge raiding or PVP! (Don't lie, unless Lifesteal and Inspiration drop off drastically, they are going to be REQUIRED for anyone who wants to raid brand new content...and PVP is gonna be a BIGGER mess now that the mage you know how to dismantle suddenly moves 8% faster.)Holy @#$%, this is the first time an expansions gameplay change was something I just look at and literally cannot fathom how it's a positive change.
Yeah i agree, but then again this will at least mix things up a bit and maybe get people to try different thing instead of every raid of a certain class/spec being a cookie cutter copy of the previous, but then again everyone is just going to make sure they always kill eachother over trying to get the thing that is just .0001% better than everything else.
I do not like these changes at all. They are bringing World of Warcraft closer to how they did loot in Diablo III and we all saw how successful that was. They need to rethink what they are doing before they mess up and ruin WoW. I know that sounds drastic. I don't want to come off as being dramatic. I know in the world if you do not change and adapt then you go the way of the dodo (or blockbuster video for a more modern example). Please try to remember that we play World of Warcraft and you can't just take your ideas from your other games and try to mold them into WoW because its easier and someone feels that it is the right decision. If we wanted to play Diablo III or whatever other game then we would, but I don't log into World of Warcraft everyday just to feel like I'm being forced to play a game that I chose not to play because it had a flawed design. Diablo III was cool, but the mechanics, loot, mobs, etc... made the game, for lack of a better word, "unfun". Please put more thought into what you are doing before you end up breaking something that doesn't need to be fixed.
I think there is going to be so much loot drama that every raid leader is going to switch to ´personalized loot´. Who is going to want to deal with figuring out 4-5 upgrades within a tier for every gear slot.I like everything about the new systems except this idea of constantly getting upgrades for every slot with the same ilvl.
So they did nothing. "hey, that healer has that optimal spec because he's lucky, so he gets invited to raids. I wasn't lucky, and don't get invited to raids, so i'll never find that optimal spec" this is... stupid. I like the gear changing to match your spec, but that's the only good thing i see.
Too Random with the stat bonuses. I recall there being mention of less enchants too and obviously less gem cuts. I wonder will they be removed or no longer attainable? It would save me 86 days of grinding wotlk and cata JC dailies to complete my collections. I wish you could just vendor purchase the recipes nowAnyways...... back to gear. The bonus will feel nice but I think luck will create too much of a cap between 2 players. Random Gem slot? I do not like. How will it be stronger if there is no bonus and you are required to match? No reforge? It was good it's not broken and removing it is not the answer BUT I'll be saving gold so @#$% it
Well, this sums it up pretty nicely. I'm still up for it.
thank god for....i had to change my whole reforgin set when i had a nice grear won...as a shadow priest had to keep up 10124 haste and some spirit as well along with 42-45% mastery unbuffed...
Yesterday i presented a real example on how we make the distribution of the loot in my guild. I'm the only plate dps, we have only one plate tank and only one plate healer. Everyone gets his loot, without the need to compete with someone else, and at least the 3 of us are happy. Is this system perfect? Of course not. There are numerous cases in which a plate-intelect drops and the healer is "damn i already have it, too bad we have to DE it".Back in the early Cataclysm i was in another guild which had a very different philosophy on how to distribute the loot. It was more like we should have a more uniform progress and the loot should go to the ones that needed it the most. On top of that the tank and healers should have top priority on tier pieces, and i was 3-4 in the line to have a chance on some tier. Personal progress was really slow. Something like that is going to happen if this system of gear without any specific specialization is finally implemented. It will be the same thing like with the tier pieces, but with more gear. Who's going to get that piece of gear, the tank, the healer, the person with the most DKP, or the luckiest one? I'm afraid 6.1 will come and i will still be in pre-raiding gear.
