At least Flex and regular start the same week, even if Flex is getting the wing treatment like LFR.
You missed "Sha of Pride" on Vale of Eternal Sorrows wing...
So I did, thanks :)
More than a month for LFR and Flex to fully open is way too long. I can see some merit for taking that long to unlock LFR, but Flex should be fully unlocked in 2-3 weeks max. This whole "gating LFR and Flex" so the Normal and Heroic raiders don't feel forced to run them in nonsense. If they feel the need to run them than that's their problem, don't let everyone else wait an additional 1-1.5 month on them.
Can I rage real quick?I counted ONE entire non-tier mail piece that does not have spirit on it for elemental shammies. We'll have to hope for tier, which we'll have more competition for than the non-tier mail pieces. Even most of the cloaks/rings/necks are hit/spirit. I am not excited about the new raid loot. So, why not more mail gear without spirit? See, for elemental, spirit is worthless beyond hit cap. Even with reforging, it seems we will be well above hit cap. It seems that Blizz has gone crazy with the hit rating on gear the past few patches across all classes/specs. Mr. Robot is required to be a half decent player because it's just too much effort calculating the optimum reforges with all this damn spirit/hit going around. Even the ToT elemental shaman gear is mostly spirit gear, except for the Ra-Den drops, although ToT has more non-tier without spirit than SoO.Look, I understand they try to make it "hybrid" gear, for resto/elemental, but they could include a couple more pieces without spirit. Resto can use stats besides spirit as well. Even the Ordos gear is all spirit gear, or caster gear with hit.
So many bosses...LFR takes too long as it is, makesing me haz a sad.
it's surprising (and quite disappointing) that the flex loadout will take so long. That two week break seems pointless. As a guild leader planning to pug flex until we have a core team, it's going to be a difficult sell, having the few raiders we have so far stuck in two wings until october, followed by a longer wait for Garrosh. Fair enough you don't want normal or lfr to be made redundant, but that seems harsh punishment for maintaining a 'social' atmosphere that you claim these modes are meant to foster.
:/ Really kind of annoying that we have to wait over a month longer than regular raiders for flex or lfr to be complete... I mean yeah I understand why they do it.. but that doesn't make it any less frustrating I have to wait to kill Garrosh that much longer.
I think it would be deliciously ironic if just once, Heroic mode opened first followed by a two week wait for Normals.
Just to point out a few things.1. This is the exact same schedule they had for LFR for ToT. As a LFR person, it never felt slow at all.2. They are delaying it to feel more like normal raiding. It would feel, and be, stupid if you could kill Garrosh four hours after 5.4 launches on LFR3. Another benefit of them delaying things is it gives guilds a chance to try different difficulties. If your Flex guild is so good that you are clearing all the bosses easily and actually ´waiting´ for more bosses to be released.. that is a good opportunity to maybe try normal modes on the first few easy bosses. Likewise, if you are an LFR person who has cleared the first 8 bosses in LFR, and have your timeless island gear.. maybe it is worth starting a PUG flex group on your server for the first 4 bosses.Much like the the ilevel debate for SoO, their schedule seems very reasonable and well thought out. As someone who is starting a raiding group for Flex, I am glad it is not all open at once so people don´t get overwhelmed.
=)Yeah i'm a little miffed at the Flex gating, but not really surprised... and when it comes down to it, not really miffed after all. The only aspect of raiding that has me feeling even remotely upset so far is the lack of VP gear. Well, that and the (from my experience) extremely horrible "spirits" crafting system.
Will flex raids be entered using dungeon finder (or something like it), or will there be an entrance out in the world (presumably in the Vale given that the first “wing” is set there)?
Well I guess there's still a lot of waiting for me...
I'll admit I haven't been nearly as detail oriented on all of the patch info this time around and they aren't live just yet, but are all of the Garrosh heirlooms really for lvl's 90 to 100?
