I really hope there will be an NPC that would take you back in time before the Vale was destroyed, kind of like Zidormi by the Theramore bridge.I'm really going to miss the Vale. : (
The original Vale won't be preserved in any way.
Things I have not seen covered anywhere:1. What is the iLevel requirement for SoO LFR?initially it was announced as 500 but now its 496.2. How does the Cho questline that started in 5.3 change? (will it skip Battlefield Barrens and go straight to climbing the mountain?)To my understanding, it will skip battlefield barrens and go straight to climbing the mountain. They confirmed that the Emperor quest isn't going anywhere, but I'm unsure if the first two quests of cho (The ones where you do the "Blood in the Snow" and "Dark Heart of Pandaria" scenarios) are getting removed or not. I'll go into the PTR to confirm it.3. Are there new crafted PvP Blues, or will the old patterns grow up?New crafted pvp epics. Ilvl 476 actually.
Sounds very likely that they're removed, too, unless they retool them from "a look at things that just happened" to "a look at the less recent past".
Does anyone know if the legendary quest still goes on? And can you still start it with an alt from the beginning.
Looking forward to the patch, but what is the required ilevel for LFR ?

Haven't checked, since all my alts had it done. But with the new Timeless Isle, you will get loads of new gear for alts.3. New plans (476 ilvl blues), discovered by crafting different new Ingots/Cloths/Leathers, on a daily cd reset.
Guys, are You sure about achievements with daily quests like One Step at a Time, that they won't be removed? I have written GM about this, and he didn't know the answer ("For this particular Achievement “One Step at a Time” since the requirements are to complete these Golden Lotus Daily quests, then I would assume that the Achievement will be removed as well. However, there hasn’t been anything official stating this yet, so it is possible that they will simply change the requirements for it. I would recommend keeping an eye on Blue Posts and patch notes until 5.4 is released for more specifics and updates on that.").How will we be able to complete a daily without taking damage if the dailies are taken away? So, how will this achievement be available then? I'm scared :-s
I just don't understand blizzard. Why they change the whole vale? Why don't they just phase it? Future newcomers will not have a chanche to see the original vale...As if that was ever an issue. Post-cata players can't experience old content and zones as well. I don't see any issue.
So what about the noodle carts and stockpiling mats for them?
Item Level 496 for Siege of Orgrimmar 's Looking For Raid.
Guys, are You sure about achievements with daily quests like One Step at a Time, that they won't be removed? These dailies remain, they just start at the Shado-Pan Garrison. Dailies for areas that are untouched by Sha will likely remain altogether.
All the quest achievements in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms are around in 5.4. The quests are available at the Shado-Pan Garrison in the southwest part of the zone. Blizzard is getting rid of a lot of the GL dailies, but none of them are tied to achievements.
. If you're curious where you can buy the new JP gear, you should still be able to get them from the currency vendors by the Siege of Niuzao.Actually, I am curious to know whether they are going to introduce a new source or conversion for justice. LFD, with it's "group of people I know I never have to see again" has resulted in such a continuing degradation of the group experience (tr: adolescent twits with no manners who are miserable to get stuck with for an hour, don't give a hoot if others in the party complete dungeon quests, etc.) that I, my husband, and most of our guildies finally gave up on PUGs somewhere in the middle of Cata. Whether you, individually, think particular changes are good or bad - honestly, I don't care. I am a guild leader, and I see my guild losing interest. For six years, they have been right there - and for six months it has been like a ghost town. All of them didn't suddenly get busy IRL (for the first time in half a decade) by coincidence. All of them didn't suddenly quit liking dungeons and raids. The constant partial-merging of realms means constant increase to the number of people who know they never have to see you again and therefore act like idiots - and the increase in the number of people acting like jerks makes the game less likable. Greater numbers of people are opting out of anything that involves interacting with a stranger - and now the only way for those very people to improve their gear will be by interacting with more strangers. We had hoped that adding valor to dailies in Panda was designed to balance those effects (which, others tell us, is not unique to our guild) and seeing it go away essentially means that many of my guildies will simply have PvE gear options wholly limited to drops, crafting, and AH. I am far less concerned about "where to get gear that requires currency my guildies no longer have effective access to" than "whether this change will tip the scales and be the end of our guild." For the first time, in the last six months, guildies have been coming to me with suggestions for other games we could move to, and it's not a move I'd like to make. CRZ ('look, there are 6 of the pet you want to tame' - "oops, you landed, and now they are gone!"), mechanic changes ( "We'd love to come help you out, lowbie-guildie, but the area is phased, and even if I am partied with you, I can't see you to just stand back and heal, much less help you with your quest." ) and all the rest *are* changing things. Truly hope this isn't the one that finally tips the scales and scatters my guild :(Yeah, I know - every time they release a patch, someone is crying 'it's the end of WoW.' :) I don't care if it is or it isn't. I just care whether it becomes the end of my steady group of friends of 6 years. Prior changes have just made me think of how this or that player or toon will be impacted. This time around - I see straws, and I am looking at my guildie-camels' backs.... :(
why arent people born in 2013 able to see the world in 2000
Any idea if there's going to be a Conquest -> Honor conversion? I have a bunch of Conquest, I don't really PvP any more and I'm sure I can find more Heirlooms to buy/upgrade for Honor. I don't recall seeing anything about it.
i believe all conquest will be converted to honor and anything over the cap will be converted to silver (not sure the exact number). and this should happen by 5.4 launch
"Living Steel is also worth hanging on to, as in addition to being used in new epic plate BoEs"No it's not.
Blizzard posted their 5.4 Raid Schedule blog, which I added a link to in this post. Also fixed the BS/Living Steel thing, I guess I just typed that out of habit.
That is already the case on live right now. If you do the quest at 87 to open the gate to the vale, as soon as you open the gate there is already the big horde hole in the ground from the 5.3 patch... the vale is essentially ´ruined´ as soon as it opens.Honestly, I understand your point.. but from a gameplay perspective.. very few players are going to be using the vale once the next expansion hits. Would anyonce care if Twilight Highlaands had been changed when 4.4 launched? There are always some ´derp´ lore moments when leveling, you just have to understand the limitations and amount of dev work required to make a modest fix to lore.I understand, I'm just thinking there are other players like me, who likes to go deep in the lore, and do all of the avaliable quests and that's a bit sad that we can't.As if that was ever an issue. Post-cata players can't experience old content and zones as well. I don't see any issue.I know, I've joined after cata and I wanted to do the old content, but I had to carry on. I just want to point out, that they could make it in other ways. Every day I wish I could have played from vanilla, but I was only a kid without internet, I didn't even know what wow was.
