True, but remember that all that grinding is what you're going to need to do for the coins anyway. So if you want the mount, for example, while you're earning your 100k coins, you'll also be earning your way toward Exaulted. And, in the end, since there's no truly important gear here, it's about as optional as anything can be!
I don't have enough room in my bags/bank for any of this stuff...
This is what I knew would happen when people kept complaining about dailies in MoP even though the MoP dailies are by and large HUGE improvements over the dailies in earlier patches. Blizzard listened to its customers, and now instead of good dailies we get mindless grinds. dashifen is right that at least we'll be doing this same grind anyway for Timeless Coins, but there could have been other ways to grind those as well. Here is a short history of WoW grinds:(1) Kill one MILLION pirates!Reaction: Well that sucks.(2) Ok, well, do these four annoying quests EVERY DAY!Reaction: Awesome! No more million pirates! Actually it sucks. We hate dailies!(3) Ok, well, let's keep the daily thing, only it'll be a few different quests each day, and every so often you get some regular story quests to progress through a story, and we'll beef up the rewards so you can get gear, some profession stuff, and mounts and/or pets, and you can have tokens to double rep gains on your alts.Reaction: DIDN'T YOU LISTEN? WE HATE DAILIES!(4) Kill one MILLION yaungol!
Wow 100k timeless coin O.o
"There are tons of daily quests and mandatory epics to grind out for this reputation"I NEVER LIKED STUPID CHILDISH PANDAS ANYWAY I UNSUBBED YEARS AGO BC WAS THE BEST EXPANSIONAm I doing it right?
WTB the bank space for all the new vanity itemsAlso 100k coins for the mount sounds crazy. I guess it'll be like Bone White Primal Raptor 2.0?By the way, is there no innkeeper on the isle?
You can still set personal goals to collect X amount of coins per day, and limit yourself if you wish. I personally like this system better since you can work at your own pace. When I want to grind a rep I want to be able to grind as much of it in one sitting as possible, or until I want to do something else. Having to go to daily hubs every time I want to get any rep, and being limited in the amount I can get is less interesting to me.
The problem is the devs just cannot moderate themselves. They swing from one extreme to another. Yes, Golden Lotus sucked. As a person who loves quests... Golden Lotus sucked. If it had not been for the poorly designed Golden Lotus quests, there wouldn´t be all this dailies hate we have now.So now we are back to Timbermaw reputations?Devs... here is a clue.. find the middle. 5 daily quests per faction, a way to gain faction besides the dailies.. some intermediate lore moments...Seriously, they are over-reacting because of the feedback based mainly on the horrible Golden Lotus faction and other mistakes the devs made that caused just as many problems. (for example, the first 2 weeks of the expansion, JP gear required rep). There were a ton of very little problems that caused the ´Dailies Hate´ that we have today, but they were not dailies themselves, it was Golden Lotus and a number of other small mistakes the devs made.I hardly see this as anything evolutionary.. it is just going back to Timbermaw.
