Its really depressing that they got rid of dailies almost completely besides 1 ok daily and 1 extremely useless daily. IMO blizz needs to keep dailies and let the complainers grow up. The beginning of MoP had an amazing daily grind that wasn't hard and actually sped up not that far down the line. Timeless Isle has actually gotten really useless and boring after only 2 weeks of its release and I find almost no reason to go there now except for the occasional Huolon kill and the weekly world boss. So sad, I was actually excited about it till I learned there was no dailies, I'm not killing millions of mobs. The least blizzard could do is for you to gain rep as well off bosses in SoO like ToT and the Shado-Pan Assault. Such a useless and disappointing island. FUN RAID THO! So it wasn't a completely disappointing patch like most of Cataclysm. Just wish the island had more to it than a mob killfest, so boring.
A tip for hunters out there:While kills may take some time, there is a not-so-crowded place to gain your reputation/epoch stones/elites without fighting over the typical farming spots.Requirements:- Honored with the Emperor- At least 500 timeless coins (youll make these back and then some)Steps:1. Buy a Scroll of Challenge from the rep vendors.2. Summon Archerius of Flame3. Let the island swarm and get rid of Archerius as well as the High Priest of Ordos that spawns in front. (Get your rare kill here too while you're at it)4. Once everyone leaves, buff up, and start killing all the mobs that spawned. As a BM hunter with a spirit beast pet, the Molten Guardians and Eternal Kilnmasters will give you very little trouble at all. Your pet eats AoE like candy, and tanks like a boss. The Blazebound Chanters may give some trouble, as those golems will 2-shot your pet. Try to use Scatter Shot to interrupt the golem casts when possible, and if your pet does end up dying, kite and interrupt; revive your pet when you're able to. Concussive shot + Glaive Toss will keep the chanter slow for an easy kite. The kills are slow but reward with 24 rep a kill, + 60-100 Timeless Coins. After you've cleared the area out (Aside the remaining High Priest of Ordos, I don't recommend trying to solo him), just grab another Scroll of Challenge to re-summon Archerius (the item you summon him on should respawn by this point). This makes all the mobs respawn, and you can rinse and repeat.Happy hunting!Pro-tip: For faster kills, have a few ranged dps tag along. Rep gains are the same.Pro-tip 2: Archerius of Flame can only yield normal drops once a day. However, he still counts as a rare creature for the weekly quest, and will always yield an Epoch Stone..Sorry Melee, this tip isn't really for you :(
Getting 100k coins for the mount is doable and really not asking for much. Provided you never spend coins on anything (aside from the journal which is required for one quest whose cost is refunded anyway.) Many rares give several hundred coins, the ship can give over 1000, evermaw can give over 500. 1000 from the daily and quests. The rep grind, however, is monumentally stupid. Getting from friendly to honored takes absolutely forever. I can't imagine how long honored -> exalted would take. The mobs don't give enough rep. Mindlessly grinding mobs is a throwback to Korean MMOs and old school JRPGS. We don't see need garbage like that in WoW.
