The top DPS classes get buffed and the low dps classes get nerfed.....how surprising.
Annnndddd.....tthhhhere....is Another shammy nerf.
Rogue buffs. Nice. Now maybe other classes will consider running when they attack, instead of standing around and ignoring them.
buffed what needed buff.Buff buff buff
WHY OH WHY with the balance druid changes, we always get the short end of the stick, then you mess with our multiple target dps with starsurge. PLEASE LEAVE IT ALONE,
Ditto what Worcester said. I think some people just look at dps lists and assume the top classes are underpowered and bottom classes are overpowered, and in a perfect world everybody has the same dps. Heck no. Class balance is all about balancing EVERYTHING that classes get. Besides considering pure vs. hybrid classes, there are other class characteristics to consider when balancing them:1. Armor: All else being equal, plate wearers are stronger than clothies. Period. Of course all else is never equal, but this is why: clothies *should* be better in some other area than plate wearers.2. Cooldowns/burst. I mention this because it was mentioned elsewhere in this thread, about how frost DKs get 1 cooldown, while other classes have tons. That's not necessarily bad. Not every class gets all the same toys. If you don't get as many cooldowns as other classes, that's fine as long as you're stronger in some other area.3. AoE. Some classes have terrific AoE4. Crowd-control. Some classes have great crowd control, some not so much. If you lack crowd-control, higher dps is one (not the only one, but on) way in which that fact can be compensated for.5. Stealth. If you can sneak up on someone and ambush them, especially if you have good burst, you might very well be perfectly balanced against a class you'd lose a head-to-head dps race with every time.6. Buffs/pets/toys. Mages have portals and food tables. Locks have gates and healthstones and summoning portals. Different classes have different stat buffs. Druids can speed everybody up, and DK's can get them walking on water. Etc. There are personal toys, too, like different forms and strengths of speed increases, get-out-of-combat tools, presences/stances, and so on. Hunters get permanent tanking pets if they want them, and locks can get them on cooldown. Not all classes have the same amount of these kinds of toys, and nor should they. Each one offers a bit of flexibility or convenience. If your class doesn't get many, chances are it gets other things instead, like being higher dps.7. Self-healing. This is a big one: many non-healing specs and even some non-healing classes still have some sort of healing ability. Others don't.8. Melee vs. range. Melee is usually a harder to play and easier to avoid. If your class dominates over other classes in a lot of these areas, you should *expect* to find yourself low on dps meters, not complain you're underpowered when you do.
I hate the monk changes. Frankly, I hated the 5.3 monk changes too. In 5.2 I loved my monk, but since then... not so much. I hate that Blizzard keeps taking a class I like and am happy with and working it over like a mugger in an alley. These set bonuses suck. SUCK! The original T14 set bonuses sucked too. They were such a joke that I didn't.ever.bother. with the tier tokens.*Wanders off fuming. Again.*
The shooting stars nerf to druids will cut my dps back a lot :( I hope the chance isn't reduced too greatly
Rogues are lookin good at lest. An dat Outfit! We get to wear dress's with out looking odd? XD
I don't know what you are complaining about? I have been playing a Dk since Wrath and I am still loving it. As a tank I am constantly pulling close to in not over 100k dps and still holding agro.
WARLOCK buffs? seriously?
